I repeat DO NOT SHOP ONLINE! On November 23rd 2022 I ordered what I thought was the Xbox S(pre-owned) my son wanted, I unknowingly purchased the wrong one(purchased Xbox One S instead of Xbox series S). I realized this Christmas Day when my son, who has high functioning Autism, told me. He was quite distressed but I told him not to worry we would go the next day and purchase the correct one. I couldn't have been more wrong! I was informed by our local Gamestop that since I hadn't purchased the extended warranty I was unable to exchange or return the gaming system, it needed to be within 7 days! I was appalled because this was a Christmas gift! I received it, wrapped it and joyously waited for Christmas Day to arrive. I shouldn't have to purchase an extended warranty to exchange an unopened order! My poor son lost it in the store, pacing and crying. My heart broke): In anticipation of what he was sure he was to receive he gave his old one away to a child he knew who couldn't afford one because he said it wasn't fair he had 2 when he knew the boy wanted one and couldn't have it. I'm a single parent myself(widowed), so I understood. I emailed corporate twice, NO RESPONSE! Called for DAYS on my lunch break and could NEVER get through(still trying). I'm saddened and appalled. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to be able to exchange my item during the Christmas season. I feel let down and mislead. Corporate is only worried about raking in the cash and obviously feel their so big that they don't have to take care of the little people, their customers.
Went to the Fairview store with my son to purchase a PS5 console. Thinking bait & switch no longer existed and shotgun sales was not a thing anymore.
The clerk fixed that idea. Oh but you can only buy the console if you ALSO buy $50 0f accessories (games). Ok - can we buy that game. SORRY - not available. Only these are available. No games - skins only. Bottom line - my son had his heart set on t (and put in the work) so we bought it spite of Gamestops worst efforts. I have now shopped there twice - FIRST and LAST. Icing on he cake. Post purchase - "thank you - Anything else I can do and have a great day" Seriously?
We Ordered a Play Station 4 For My Grandson.When it was not delivered we called customer service, After waiting for over an hour to speak to a rep we were told it was lost in the mail. However they didn't have the courtesy to call us.They offered a replacement but not in time for Christmas. And 7 to 10 days for a refund to Am Exp.card. I dont believe it was lost, I will never do business with them again.My Poor Grandson!
Spent thousands of dollars at gamestop between me my son and daughter I was never a pro member was talking to guy about special that was going on with headset he told me he was out of stock asked him if I could have rain check with attitude he told me they don't offer rain checks simply said this is why I really stop shopping at gamestop that I spent lot of money and it like My business doesn't matter guy had nerve to tell me haven't been pro member sense 2017 they won't have my business no more
I purchased three games with extended warranties. When the package arrived it was empty. The packing slipped had all three games on it but no merchandise. I contacted the company and after waiting on the phone for over an hour they said they would have to get back to me about what they were going to do. This purchase was for Christmas by the 19th which was 5 days later and receive an e-mail. No e-mail ever. On the 19th I never heard anything and contacted the company. The second person I spoke with said it was approved to replace. They said they would expedite the package if approved. I tried to contact them for the next two days and the answering machine said they were busy and to call back. I still have not heard anything. They are very hard to get a hold of and the operators were very hard to speak with.
Their customer service personnel lie to customers in order to maintain your money. They will tell you that the item is in stock and then lie to you for weeks, to then tell you that it is out of stock. This occurred in the middle of Christmas, which after speaking with 4 employees, and 1 supervisor Toney in a period of 3 weeks, all which told me that the item was in stock, and that everything was okay. After the 3 weeks of waiting, one worker says oh the item is out of stock and we will give you your money back if your want. That could have been said the first week of contact and allowed me time to purchase it elsewhere. From now on I will boycott all game stops, I will go out of my way to purchase from the competition. They don't have the decency to even respond to emails, or to follow through when they tell you they will email you. Gamestop online is garbage.
I never received my order, then it took five days just to get a response from customer service. They said they were going to send a replacement, but never did. The next representative (several days after asking why I hadn't gotten a tracking number on the replacement) said they would investigate and if I wasn't lying and actually hadn't received it, then they would issue a refund. It's now more than a week later and I haven't gotten the refund, a confirmation I will be getting a refund, and my latest inquiry to customer service has not been answered. I will never order from Gamestop again.
A new game was purchased online and a damaged one was received. Calling Customer service on a Monday and Thursday I was given the same automated response, over 60 minutes of wait time and call back later in the week and then it hangs the phone up.
I ended up doing an online return where I can print up a sheet to bring to store for the return. Going to the store I am told that the store doesn't accept online returns and I showed her where it stated on the paperwork that it did. She then tells me that stores get a "preference" to take back purchases that were online. Needless to say it looks like I paid $70 for the lesson of never shopping at Game Stop.
I ordered two games, I was notified that they were delivered, except nothing showed up, then I checked the order and they were delivered to a previous address that I haven't lived at for over 15 years. My billing address was correct and where it should have been shipped, but it switched my shipping to some other address. The person who lived there said nothing was delivered, I emailed Gamestop and after a few days with no reply, I called them, I was told they would ship a replacement to the correct address, then a week later I got a reply to my email and they said they wouldn't send me a replacement. No refund, no games, and still not replying to my further questions. I will never order from Gamestop again.
2 yr old cards were deactivated, $100.00. That is theft of service and a Federal offence. No exp. Date
Sent multiple emails about a problem to the *******@gamestop.com! Care that's funny you haven't replied in over a week. Highly suggest going elsewhere
I ordered five new games online. When I opened my package, I discovered three of the five games opened with torn-off stickers on the cases. I waited almost an hour on the phone with Gamestop, and their response was "let me see if there is something we can do" like they never been through this before. Five minutes later he came back with a solution. He said they will do a shipping label to exchange the three games, and that it will take a few hours for my label to pop up in my email.
The email eventually came up and it was for a return of all five games for a refund, instead of an exchange for three games. My wife spoke with them again about the issue and they gave her two options; either return all five games or find a store to return them to.
I notified Gamestop service on Facebook Messenger and they responded the next day. I responded back in more detail about the used games but have not heard back from them since which would be 5-6 days ago.
I decided to go ahead and return the three games back to a store. I showed them the games, explained my story and they attempted to explain to me that they typically pull new games from sleeves in the drawer and put them back in a box. I said I was aware of the practice but still would like to return the games as I deem them used when the shrink is removed (as any other typical retail store would). Well apparently so does Gamestop because they began to discuss how they have no way to prove that the games were new because the stickers were removed from them (I gave them the games in the exact condition how I found them in the package). Eventually he said he will look at the disks and determine that way. I was given a refund (except its been over 24 hours and still hasn't shown back up on my card yet) for the three games, however, the customer service was some of the worst I have seen from a well known retailer; not to mention some of the shadiest practices, too. I don't think I will ever shop from them again.
Worst business I've ever dealt with. I've been trying to contact them for over a week. I ordered game cards, they were digital but I didn't realize it. I got ripped off for 42.00 bcuz they will not respond to any kind of contact. Never again!
Bought online game charged card then sent cancel order. Returned money then next day charged card again 17 day 7 different people all claiming money was credited. Inept service on line Buy at store only
I had an issue with the item not being available when the website said it was in stock. The order updated today and said it was now available.
It's fluffy warm and big it's really cool and I love the style of it I can make good videos with it and I just love it because it's jumbo sized so if you want it go to GameStop
Wow love how it doesn't say what time your customer service line opens it's not listed on the website, not listed when you open a chat, not listed when you call the number just says you are closed. Absolutely the worst customer service on the planet. I will never order anything from GameStop again and I will never buy anything in any of your stores again, I want this message to be addressed by a manager. Friday I got a same day delivery of a refurbished Xbox and it did not work. I tried going to both the GameStop locations in my town and they both said there was some kind of an issue and they I had to wait all weekend long and reach out to you on Monday. The order still says pending and when I try to submit the return online it says it doesn't recognize the order number that it pulls in on its own that comes from YOUR website. You promise "easy returns" and they is clearly and blatantly a flat out LIE! Fix the issue with my order so I can return this broken unit or give me the full credit immediately I've now had to risk my health after having a no contact delivery to go to two stores that couldn't help me because your website and system doesn't work (person at the store is the one that said your online system doesn't work and that I should always buy in store and never buy online because of this very issue) sure would be nice to know what time the phone lines open so I know what time to start calling but your service is so terrible you can't even show what time the lines open. I need a response and I need the credit so I can go to a reputable business and give them my business instead fix it now so I can give you back the junk you sent me.
If I could leave less than a star I would. I ordered a Nintendo switch and they only sent me the cables and the wrist straps for the controllers. No consol was ever incased in my package. What am i supposed to do with just the cables? I called them multiple times, each time I would be on hold for anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour. There was no help. They told me that I could file a police report but that they would not help. I used to love this company, but I will never shop with them again.
GameStop sucks, I used to be a pro member but I didn't renew my membership and why is that? Well I didn't need it to have the membership it costs $15 which ain't bad and plus u get $5 a month but it doesn't stack it just stays there if u don't use it all u will ever have is $5 which is dumb and also the points I earned from buying things which again I earned and now that my membership was finished which was a month ago I can't use my well earned points unless I keep my membership, get the hell out of here those are my damn points I should be able to use them to redeem discounts on games and now I can't I'm not in GameStop on a daily bases or buying and buying I have bills and things to do but when a game comes out that I'm interested in I can't use my earned points $#*! off gamestop!
Have tried to get ahold of someone from customer service for few weeks now and can't get anyone on the phone there is no chat and I received an email back little more than a week later for them to tell me that the refund that I was looking for was already put back onto my GameStop card. I pulled up the transaction history for the card and screenshot it to show the money was never refunded and can't get any response. This is horrible customer service and theft
