Freshly has a excellent website, however a operations manual is necessary to navigate it. I'm 81 and have had my share of maneuvering websites but this Freshly is too much for me. I had given up, but my wife wanted to continue. As luck would have it we were fortunate to get Engrid when we tried one last time. She was very knowledgeable and patient.

So I was in a very bad accident 5 months ago, stove some friends out of kindness, bought a gift card for my family and I to freshly. Redeeming the gift card automatically enrolled me in a recurring pay program, not only did I not want this, when I called customer service they told me that is how it's all set up. When you're getting fresh food delivered to you every week, having good customer service is key. Freshly excels in that area. Whenever I've had even the slightest problem, CS has been proactive and responsive. I love that. The food is good and helps me eliminate thinking about what to do for lunch when working from home which is nice too. Can't say enough good things about Freshly!

My wife and I (80 y/o) had initially used Hello Fresh in an attempt to make sure we were getting a balanced nutrition. As it turned out, it took me (the cook) 2 - 21/2 hours on an average to prepare each meal. Besides the time it took me to prepare the meals, we found that the food was heavily seasoned. We switched to Freshly, because it was still fresh products, but still took only 5 minutes to prepare. But, the kinds of meals were so much different than what we have experienced over the past 80 years. We both grew up as meat, potato and vegetable meal eaters. About the only seasoning we used was salt and pepper. There were some roasts or dishes that used other mild seasons, but not the norm. I am going back to cooking our own meals that we plan and buy for. Thank you for the opportunity to check out Freshly, and thank you, Angela D. I worked with Nikki today about a meal I couldn't even finish eating. She was helpful, reassuring, and made a change so that I didn't have to deal with the meal next week. She also gave me some additional information if I have issues with meals I don't like in the future. On top of all that, she gave me a $5 credit for my account. It was quick, easy, and so helpful! We have enjoyed these meals off and on for two years. Easy to order and the food is very good! I needed to skip an order and I was too late, but Alejandro was excellent and helped me resolve my problem. Freshly is great for weeks you don't feel like cooking and want healthy food.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
