This is a scam site that was never given permission to charge me. I have filed a complaint with PayPal and hope they remove them from their business.
After finally paying my citibank credit card balance down to $0.00 I wondered why my next statement showed a balance of $12.97. Turns out freeshipping.com has been charging my CC that amount each month for AT LEAST TWO YEARS. Shame on me for not being vigilant enough to catch these scammers! If I could rate them a ZERO, I would but will give them a lowest possible "1".
My Dad is 83 years old and has been charged repeatedly $19 every month for the past four months. He does not use the internet and did not sign up for this service. We can contacted them twice to remove him from this service but they lie and say they will cancel but the monthly billing continues. Now he has to cancel his credit card. They prey on seniors and this company is fraud! We will be seeking legal action.
I was charged 13.00 for something I'm not interested in and then 2.00 for I don't know why all I'm asking is for a refund please I'd appreciate it very much thank you.
I had to literally cancel my credit card so they would stop charging me monthly for whatever it is they charge! I never ever signed up for their subscription, I called and they can't even find my so called "account" with them even after I gave them my email so how in the world can you charge me for something I'm not using and I'm not aware of ever signing up! Total SCAM! Can't believe this is legal!
This company fraudulently tricked me into signing up for a shipment rebate in Canada when I purchased from GAP. They never ever told me that I would be charged monthly fee on my card. This is a fraudulent/deceptive company that people should avoid at all times. Or make a complaint on the FTC website against their fraudulent billing without my approval.
Call this number to try and cancel *******886 and see if they will call you back as promised. If they don't, go to Shipmentsfree.com Facebook page and inform all people about this company and policies. Be careful as this company is a total scam.
Update: 28th Jan 2003. The company canceled my subscription or membership on request by email sent by me. So they seem to reply promptly for some reason or because their name has already been tarnished. Had they informed me about the fee and membership, I would not have bothered. It was somewhere hidden in the bottom of their email. Even there, it did not say monthly.
I don't recall ever signing up for a subscription. Yet they charged me $13 in December and January!
I like many others thought I was getting a rebate of $10 on my purchase and signed in to my paypal so it could be processed. I was surprised it immediately charged $2 but hey, I would still be $8 in the clear. A week later I am charged $13 and these scammers claim on the site that I have to wait until next month for my $10, no doubt after I have paid $13 a second time. Please, do not make the mistake I did. I canceled my membership and counted that money as lost.
Went to Kohl's to make an order to pick up, while getting ready to put my order in I got this page freeshipping.com which I thought was Kohl's having me fill out my debit card info. After I fillex it out my debit card transaction came up about freeshipping.com charges. I was shocked. I put my info unknowingly to someone that took over my screen. I wrote to these people and they said sorry to see you go ( I never was there)and cancelled something I had no clue needed cancelled. Not one mention of refunding fees.
I went online to see complaints about this company. I was shocked the exact same situation happened to another on Kohl's order page.
The rating for this company has more bad complaints than any other. They can see the people feel scammed and i see they're not fixing the problem. Shame on you. freeshipping.com!
# UPDATE
I received a refund shortly after I made this review, but I still felt tricked.
Freeshipping sucks. Good luck canceling your account. Had to shut down my cc to stop this bs. Getting through to them is a nightmare
I have been using freshipping.com for some time now. It was all good until it wasnt. Last week they shut my account down citing I had multiple accounts from this address. But thats not true, I cancelled my account before signing up with my different and preferred email id. The real reason they cancelled me was because they owe me more than $600 in rebates, they had me go through their site for multiple purchase over the last few months and when it came time to pay they cancelled on me without notice. They didnt even sent me the check for last month. When reached out support they said they dont have any knowledge of it and a big executive will email me with explanation which I did get from a guy Joe( same guy who does customer support) saying multiple accounts violation. So respectfully asked him can you show me the dates of these accounts active but there has been no response. So I checked other complaints about this company and the pattern is the same: whenever your rebate goes a little high like greater than $200 they cancel on you without notice. I even asked them to talk to me and sort it out for the higher rebates but they never responded. Now I want to urge others who were scammed like this to do the following so others are protected:
- Reach out to the retailers and complained about this company. Return your stuff you bought from them and give them the reason
- Call you credit card company to block this merchant as put them in the black list.
- I have a corp lawyer friend who is helping me guide through this on if we can do some sort of small court case on them. Reach out to one and see if this is what you want to pursue. If I have more than 10 such cases we can all file against them together.
Update:
In the past few days freeshipping.com actively worked with me to clear any confusions. Not only they agreed to accept my rebates/cashbacks they also reinstated my membership with them. I have been with them since 2018 and will continue forward. I will try to spread this positive feed back and update any complaints I filed against them with this outcome. Again, I really appreciate the help.
I NEVER used this company yet there was a fraudulent charge from them on my credit card.
Thank God my credit card company is on top of it!
This company got a monthly subscription of $13 from us without our knowledge by tacking their free shipping onto the end of a Kohl's online transaction we made. Fortunately it only cost us one month before we cancelled it because we were alerted by our bank on the charge. Had they not called us the $13/month would likely have continued for some time without our being aware of it. This company is guilty of gross deceptive practices.
I signed up thinking I would get a rebate of $10 in shipping I had just paid. Waiting to see if that shows up or not. But what was not made clear in the sign up process was they would be billing me $13 seven days later and then again every month while I was a member. Lucky for me American Express flagged the $13 charge as possible fraud. I canceled the membership.
Never heard of this company until I get a scam alert from my bank. I never signed up for or agreed for them to do this. Now I have to file charges and bank will do investigation into this company. I can't post pictures because I've never bought anything
Kohls must have sold my husband's info to this company. My husband has been being billed since December 2021 and never signed up for this. The only thing he did sign up for was a Kohls Card. We will be closing our Kohls Card after this. And trying to get through to an agent is non existing. We have 3 phones and been on hold over an hr trying to get an agent. Smdh give my husband his money back scammers.
I got charged 13.00 for something I never gave permission to, just because I ordered online from Kohl's. They had no right to take my payment info!
This company is probably barely legal. It is still a deceitful scam. I was charged $13 a month for something I didn't even know I had. I called them and they claimed I signed up after buying an NFL jersey. I had no recollection of this. They probably weaseled themselves in at checkout and swiped my card then when I thought I was paying for something else. Even if this company is technically legal, they are still making the majority of their business by tricking people. They know they are deceptive, but they still do it because they know it is the only way they will make money. The FBI should investigate them. I don't even know what they provide, so they are probably laundering money or something. Always remember to check your credit card bills thoroughly; we live in a sick world.
The Cash back that they offer has many hoops for you to jump through and even after fling every rule the cash back does not materialize. I would have been better off to use Rakuten or topcashback for FREE
Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at Help@FreeShipping.com?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
