My bids were re awarded. I'm delighted. I didn't think that this would be possible but the problem was rectified swiftly. I'm very happy and look forward to my experience at Freelancer.co.uk
Top notch help department for Freelancer!
Patient and very helpful!
If help is ever needed, they are very quick to respond.
I had a pretty good experience with Freelancer.com. It's unbelievable how many highly qualified candidates they have. My experience with their Support Desk (Mark G.) is also something that I will never forget. I had a lot of money on escrow so when my project ended I received an email from him asking me what I wanted to do with the leftover funds in my account. He's just so wonderful! I did not even think of it. So I asked for a refund. Thanks Mark and to everyone on Freelancer.com for making it so convenient for your users to navigate your website, find freelancers and excellent customer support!
Love that you could tell I had made a payment error on my first time out and contacted me immediately. All fixed and no headaches whatsoever!
Freelancer is fraud. We posted a project in freelancer. The freelancer asked for advanced payment. We paid advanced payment to that gut and he didi not finish the project. We asked freelancer to help us to return our money but they refused to do it. We deputed the payment from Paypal but Paypal did not return the money to us. Interesting thing is freelancer limited our account and withdraw money from the person who accept our project bus they did not return our project. They are completely fraud and they do not care about your money.
I am very satisfied with the the support and very satisfied with solution of my problem. Thanks a lot to all of the team support.
The question I raised is about the fee that I got charged automatically for professional lancers. But as I have my own job and I am actually usually busy for my job, I should be a free member instead of a professional one. This should be one of my mistake that I missed the choosing of member ship when I registered this website. However, the customer support team did a good job in handling my case. They gave me clear and patient explanations and provided me the convenience of further processes. This indeed is a good service and it showed the trustworthy and value of them.
Thanks for the handling.
Overall I think freelancer is a much needed and brilliant for of support. However some freelancers don't share this vision and compromise the integrity of the organization. However the system is set up to protect and maintain the integrity setforth. Freelancer has assisted me in turning a manuscript into a book, a tv series written in Word to a professional Manuscript and a Website to market all my books and Videos. I thank Freelancer and the representatives that share the vision.
Good communication. Great to know that you are not left in the midle of a timber in the middle of a night
Posted a job with the help of an assistant & within the hour decided I didn't want to proceed. I was signed up for a 1 month "FREE TRIAL". I closed my account & checked my PayPal account to find it had been debited $44 for the job & another $5 for removing it - what scam artists. No one was upfront & advised me of the process they just wanted me to list a job.
The assistance was quick and efficient. I am not familiar yet with membership-related matters. Troy handled it well:-)
I think he is the best out of here. Really quick help and he found a solution for my problem. Thank you a lot :)
Thanks a lot Deana R for your support
You helped me to reopen my account
But please ask backend team to remove limitation from review.
Thanks
Thanks for the prompt reply and action taken at my request. I have never seen such quick response to a request.
I received a data entry project on 31st August to be completed in 5 days. After accepting I wanted the employer to set milestones. (Which I came to know through one of your representatives that I should accept the order after getting the milestones) I sent lot of messages to employer asking about the milestones and he just kept silent. A ticket was created on 4th Sept and today the matter was resolved by you deleting the project and refunding the project fees.
My support took much longer than I expected but it was because we ran into policy issues. However it was resolved and with friendly support.
Freelancer, solve the problem very quickly. In 10 minutes, they solved a lot of big problem and save me from the fraud. I love freelancer.
1) Transactions made on this site are often blacklisted by major banks in countries.
2) Terrible Customer Support
3) Bad Terms & Conditions and bad days for buyers and sellers.
4) Runs like Elance.com
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
