The popup for verified freelancers wrote verify for 0€ and upon clicking I got charged 90€. When I contacted support they simply said it is non refundable. This is unacceptable as it is a fault of the platform for now showing the price from the beginning
Thank you for the interview, Barry. I really appreciate your clear guidance and the professional way you handled the verification process. The conversation was smooth, informative, and very helpful for me as a new freelancer on the platform. Thanks again for your time.
The interview process was well-organized and professionally conducted. The interviewer asked clear, relevant questions that aligned with the requirements of the role and allowed me to showcase my skills effectively. Communication was smooth throughout, and the expectations, responsibilities, and workflow were explained in a transparent manner. Overall, it was a positive and efficient experience that provided a clear understanding of the position and the next steps.
It was a pleasureful experience speaking with Russel.
Clear guidelines and quick conversation and very helpful with all the things.
Thank you for assisting me throughout the process.
Barry provided outstanding support during my Freelancer verification. He was polite, patient, and very clear with every instruction. The process felt smooth and well-structured because of his guidance. I'm grateful for his professionalism and quick responses. Excellent experience with the verification team!
Excellent service — truly a 10/10 experience. Communication was fast, clear, and professional, and every task was delivered exactly as promised. They understood my requirements immediately and handled everything with care and accuracy. I'm extremely happy with the results and will definitely work with them again. Highly recommended!
I'm new to the Platform and as such I made a rookie mistake. I almost fell into a scam but thankfully I could spot the red flag. The FL staff were very helpful with my report. Margaux was very kind and prompt in her response.
Barry, everything was very easy to understand. I had a bit of a language barrier, so I asked questions on chat for my convenience. Once again, thank you so much, Barry.
I had the opportunity to complete my verification process with Barry, and the experience was smooth, quick, and very professional. Thank you, Barry, for your support and clear guidance throughout the process.
Excellent customer support. I was struggling with some repeated issue with my posting (project) and in communicating with the freelancer. I had logged a ticket earlier with another support agent but didn't solve this issue and i wasted weeks on this.
This person solved my issues in just 5min. So much helpful!
"This person only gives false promises. I contacted him twice, and both times he said the same thing but did absolutely nothing."
My experience with Freelancer.com has been excellent. The platform is easy to use, and finding projects and communicating with clients has always been smooth. I also highly recommend getting verified through the platform—my verification was done by Barry, and the process was extremely simple and stress-free. He was professional, clear, and made the entire experience quick and easy. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service and the level of support provided.
Very professional, quick and enjoyable interview performed by Barry. Questions were comfortable and accurate with the purpose of the interview. I really recommend working with Freelancer!
Freelancer.com has been great for completing projects and improving both my income and skills.
The contests offer fair competition where freelancers showcase real work, not just abilities.
The platform's secure communication protects both sides, and the initial setup was simple and straightforward.
I needed to give someone a bonus but I couldn't because it was a contest but Dawn didn't stop responding and explained nicely that I can't give a bonus until the end of the project
I'm a Life Coach, Author of fiction novels, a former Career Coach, Interview Coach, and Executive Recruiter. Dawn is very impressive and adds real value to the Freelancer brand. Let's put her on a copy machine and run some more copies of her patience, personality, and desire for client satisfaction! Thank you Dawn. Management: She's a Keeper. Value this employee.
I've always had AMAZING help whenever I have to go through customer service. Daphne has been my girl for all my highs and lows, Andrei was incredibly thorough and helpful, and recently Elora was also EXTREMELY helpful and diligent in an issue I was having. Really really appreciate support like this when it comes to a site like this.
The verification interview was smooth and professional. The interviewer Barry was polite, clear, and made the process very easy to follow. Everything went quickly, and I received my verification shortly after. Great experience overall!
Freelancer is a great platform to showcase our skills, whether part-time or full-time. It provides the opportunity to apply for various jobs. The interview for the verified freelancer program was very professional, and Russel V was patient and clear in answering all my questions.
While Freelancer is a very competitive online freelancing platform, but it is also the most affordable, best, and easy to use freelancing platform.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
