I had a few doubts about how to tackle a conflict with a freelancer, Katie gave me options for how to procede with it, and offered to contact him on my behalf.
She also cleared some doubts I had about leaving a project unawarded and reopening it at a later date.
I got right support within short time period. Got right answer and direction. It is really appreciable.
Josie G handled my request fully and provided the help I needed. I'm very happy with the help I got:)
Excellent customer service, Please give bonus to Josie G :)
Hi all,
I have worked since 6 years on Freelancer.com and just discover a Tool to manage and place your bid automatically in few seconds, and save huge amount of time.
I earned 2 times more money per month.
Here the website for more info: http://itfhrm.com/freelancerTool/
I found this promo code: freelancer, and earned 100$ discount
Have great bid.
Issue explained and solved. I also needed information to create and release milestone payments. The agent was able to give me details.
Great Experience! They support agent really help me solving the issue quickly. They are the best and supportive.
I am very happy the support which she/he provide. She answered my all questions. Such nice support person from freelancer.com
Kayla B. Helped me with my problem and was very helpful all over the chat session. Thank you very much!
I took part in contest. It was about translation from hebrew into english. The holder gave pdf file. So no one could translate it through copy/paste. I've done the whole translation by myself in MSWord. Because of the conditions of the contest (applied file must be jpg, png) a design was broken in file when i made it jpg from doc. I applied it being sure that i won (i repeat the contest was only about translation). Next day i found out that the winner was a guy, who had never spoken hebrew. I looked through his applied file. It had a nice design, he used photoshop and the whole my translation word to word. So i wrote to support and Brenda opened a ticket. Thank you, Brenda. But it took 2 days for ticket team to answer me that everything was ok in the contest but they will check. I've sent to them all provements that it was my own translation and the difference between online translator and that work. For 3 days i'm waiting for an answer. A man from the project which he wants me to do is waiting for my desisson if i would stay in this site and do the project or leave. It is ridiculous to spend 3 + days fir a check which can be done in 15 minutes.
This was the first customer support that I found very much helpful.
The agent (KAYLA B.) was very helpful to me and helped in identifying 2 fraud people on this site.
So, thank you KAYLA for your support and thank you freelancer.com
I got prompt reply and direct answers to my questions without any doubts, it gives good impression to an employer
Was excellent, the guy was very fast and operational. He quickly looked into the issue and understood what the problem was
I need some help to support on freelancer.com... Barry help me so much as like i want. I get the best help from him. Thanks Barry.
I have some clue, but not actually the right answer. I will try it and otherwise contact you again. Best regards.
Whenever I have a problem, Freelancer always seems to skirt around the issue, I always end up feeling more frustrated than I was prior to contacting help support. Not today. Even though I did have a $#*! fest, Kayla B. Was able to calm me down (no small feat0, and she helped me through every one of my issues slowly and calmly. She is truly Freelancers greatest asset in that department because I know that as intelligent as I am and as long-winded, as I can be, I am a holy terror when I get on my soapbox. However, Kayla B. Handled everything with grace and professionalism. I give a $#*!ing when it is due, but I also sing praises, and that woman needs a raise after having to put up with me, but also for having the talent to calm me down, answer my questions, and send me off in a pleasant mood for a change, not one where I am complaining about the incompetence of Freelancer all day. If you hire more people like Kayla B., you might make a fore-score in business. If not, close up shop now.
I have a question, Kimberly R. Help me, it's all okay.
I'm glad that everything turned out, thanks to the support team.
Kimberly R. Was very successful in generating solutions. She offered the information about withdraw from my account very quickly. I thank you very much.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
