High level of integrity
December 15, 2021

Keep in mind they give you stocks with a high likelihood of success in the long term taken as a collection of 25 or more. A different issue is whether you are investing more than you can afford and start becoming stressed out if a particular stock drops 50% over a short period of time. A different issue is whether you want to invest in a stock that hasn't been consistently bullish over a 5 day period, and prefer to be a momentum chaser.

Sure they have a few winners but the majority of what they recommend is garbage. The recommended "Best Buy now" stocks are peak and if you buy at this time, you are guaranteed to lose 10-20-50%. Ask me how I know. If I didnt sell options on this crap they recommend, id be so far underwater. Stay away.
Its actually a good short sellers guide. Short whatever their Best Buy now is and you'll make some money.
I started doing this and I'm up 10% on shorting their recommendations. They are FOS

STAY AWAY!
November 22, 2021

I've written a previous review on this company, which in my opinion is a complete SCAM operation. How they get away with their bad reputation is beyond me.
I signed up for their $99.00 membership in March of 2021. Immediately, they began a deluge of emails recommending other levels of "membership" to their service... all of which, of course, were for more money (at instant discounts, of course). They are like snake-oil salesmen... charlatans.
I've lost about 30 to 35 percent of my retirement accounts b/c of these scammers.
PINS: bought at $80.59... now $34.40,
SKLZ: bought at $28.27... sold at $19.63 (currently: $6.39),
APPN: bought at $151.56... sold at $72.11 (currently: $58.03)
FVRR: bought at $216.57 (avg)... sold at $224.28 (a WINNER!), currently $93.19 (lucky me!)
FLGT: bought at $104.57... now $81.37
SQ: bought at $254.09... sold at $136.08, now: $148.75... sold too soon... should have kept another 5 yrs!
I have a LONG list of their "picks," which I did not buy into and nearly all are LOSERS. LMND, LRCX, NTDOY, PYPL, ZNGA, TTD, and maybe two dozen other "buy now" picks.
Oh, I forgot! Their standard disclaimer is "Buy only with the intention of keeping for 3 to 5 years."

STAY AWAY from these guys unless you want to lose your money and you like being deluged with email solicitation for upgrades to the REALLY, REALLY good stuff.
BTW... to the staff of this website... I can't print my MF rct in anything other than PDF. Why don't you accept a damn PDF? Jesus Christ! I just wasted 45 minutes writing this review!

There isn't a financial publisher, The Motley Fool included, that can promise that a recommended stock will not encounter market fluctuations. In 6 months of membership, I have yet to see any value. Rather I receive incessant marketing emails urging me to buy their next expensive and questionable "service". While there is a small and limited amount of stock advice, it is buried under at least 5 more layers of additional attempts to get you to buy more "services" and in the end the advice is no better than you can find on (insert any free stock advisor or broker service here) or even just on YouTube.
Ultimately what I paid for was a constant barrage of email spam since I don't have the time to dig 2 hours each day for that rare useful bit, and I'm not interested in paying large amounts for their next level of useless subscriptions. Worse, many of those emails can't be opted out of without canceling entirely.
This service is a net negative since I could have found better info for free in less time. They will not stand by their own product with a satisfaction guarantee and they refused even a partial or prorated refund at cancellation.
I would never recommend this service, and I won't be fooled by them again. How about you?

We’re sorry that your experience with our marketing has been frustrating. There is no singular investing strategy which fits the needs, preferences, and a reasonable fee ratio of all investors. Our many services simply follow different strategies and have different resulting risk profiles.

Since publishers like The Motley Fool are prohibited from personalized recommendations, we offer all of our services to members who have subscribed to receive promotions in the hope of finding a better fit for some. Only been a member for a couple of years and during that time have been very pleased with the returns generated. Problem is now that I am retired and funds have been fully invested, I have a hard time justifying the cost to renew the service when still holding investments for the 5 recommended year period. Would love to see them have a retired subscription service which just lists all the sell recommendations for prior recommended buy positions.

Great learning tool
July 29, 2021

As a freelancer (arts), i. E. far from rich but at least able to save some amounts of money & otherwise complete idiot when it comes to finances, I didn't want to have just this "dead money".
So I read a book "stocks for dummies" type, looked around the net, found Motley and started with 1500 €, really small amount I wouldn't miss if I lose it. I like Motley's articles: they are down to earth, easy to understand (even for financial ignorants), but still comprehensive enough to get an idea about stock/company etc. During this time I didn't just make suprisingly nice sum out of that original 1500 €. Most important is that I learned a lot - the world of stocks & stock exchange opened to me as something really interesting in itself. At first I bought some stocks, advised by Motley. Later on I also bought some stocks I found and studied about independently. For now most of them are doing just fine. My plan is to hold most of my portfolio for a longer period, but here and there I speculate (a little) - also mostly successful. OK, I made some mistakes and I'm still making them - mainly selling my "speculative" stocks too early, for smaller profit, but nearly never these mistakes are such that I lose a sum worth mentioning. And this is also an important thing I learned from Motley: not to panic every time when some of your stocks slide down or there comes a "crash day" or two.
The only thing I didn't like was too many e-mails, but I settled this in the Settings.

To conclude: Motley Full is a great tool for total beginners - it prevents you to do basic beginners' mistakes or at least as few as possible. Besides it enables you to learn the basics fast and even with great interest.

Retirement Minded
June 29, 2021

I am a 70 year old man retirement minded who is selling 401K Mutual funds to invest in individual stocks. I am using Stock Advisor and Rule Breakers and their website. Videos for investment advice. Motley Fool has some great picks. The stocks tend to be volatile. But I do believe in their philosopy of buyin at least 15 stocks and holding for 5 years or more and holding a cash position. What is lacking is there is little guidance on the sell side. Retired persons must sell to meet minimum distribution requirements or may need to sell down to pay living expense.

No real advice is actually offered. It's a network of clickbait articles to drive traffic to buy their service - which ends up being more clickbait and generic "advice" articles which in turn are clickbait to buy more services from partners. It's not real investment advice. You'd do better reading the free articles that are published by legitimate sources.
