Excellent. Ive been with motely fool for about a year and I also subscribed to supernova and rule breaker. Their research and platform have assisted me in my investing
I've been a follower of The Motley Fool for more than 20 years (!). They were a great source of education, handholding, and all-around enrichment back then, and they've remained relevant and helpful all these years. I heartily recommend the site for beginning through advanced investors.
I don't know where I would be if the fool were not such an important part of my life. As a retiree (15 years and counting) my wife and I have modest pensions that would have had us doing a lot of worrying about finances. But, that's not how thing are! We do what we want to do, go where we want to go and give what we want to give to our kids, our grandkids and a number of charities. That's all because the Motley Fool has taught us how to look at investing and has helped us build a portfolio that keeps on growing even as we keep spending. How much better can things get?
I have followed many newsletters since January 2009, using equal weighted round number unique stock buys versus the same dollar value of the equal weighted S&P 500 RSP ETF. By holding dividends as cash, and making buys or sells at the next market open price after the recommendation, both Stock Advisor and Rule Breakers are far and away the winners. They have internal rates of return that beat the RSP. Kudos!
Stock Advisor and Rule Breakers
You can find sound advice and timely information on current picks and funds, which helps immensely with protecting and growing your portfolio. Their individual picks they properly give the upside and downside on, so you need to watch, and understand the risk.
Really appreciate the in-depth research the MF staff does. It helps to make sure I have a solid handle on companies I'm researching and considering when I invest for the long term.
The one thing I would recommend it to minimize the number of promotions and buy-ins they email the current members. It does get tedious if you feel like you're always being sold something.
As a long time member, I've seen the Motley Fool change and transform over the years. There are many benefits on the web site I rarely access or take advantage of. Nothing wrong with them, its just a personal preference. I do enjoy the stock suggestions and information I receive mostly via email for the Fool along with occasional pod casts that interest me. The recent format for stock picks containing info for each one is very good for me allowing a quick look at the suggestions. I also enjoy some of the articles, also emailed, that contain a bigger picture look at stocks and current events. Also, I really enjoyed the Stock Advisor annual report received in the mail. The only thing I really don't care for is the almost massive amount of advertising coming from the Fool for the many services they offer. Many of these begin as informative postings only to end in a sales pitch and I receive, over and over, offerings for the service I've already subscribed to.
Excellent information, well presented. Many opportunities and options offered each month. Definitely recommended.
The excellent research of this service helped me to pick out some of my best stocks, even if the timing is not always the best. Thanks a lot!
After rolling over 6 figures from 4 employer IRAs, I invested in Schwab recommended Mutual Funds. My portfolio did nothing for over a year. When I first started Stock Advisor in 2015, I reallocated my mutual funds to David and Tom's recommendations. My portfolio took off. Great research and advice. Of course, not every one is a winner. You still have to make your own decisions wisely. But don't believe any bad reviews - those folks wanted a get rich quick scheme with a "lottery mentality;" the bad reviewers did not do their own homework too and probably made bad decisions. Thanks Motley Fools!
When I was 18, my boss at the time was a Motley Fool member. I was interested based on what he told me about the service and investment philosophy, but I eventually forgot all about it. MF eventually came back on my radar a year ago and I joined. To say the membership has paid for itself would be an understatement.
So while I'm happy about the gains I've seen in the past year, I must admit I'm a little tormented to think of all the discretionary funds I blew through in my 20s and early 30s. What it would be today if I'd gotten into MF and followed even a few of the recommendations that would have stood out to me back then.
Bottom line: Motley Fool is a phenomenal value, don't delay!
Been a member for a long time. Plain speak and great advice. Not every pick is a winner but what in life is guaranteed? Choose what you feel comfortable with. Could not invest without them
Motley fool doves excellent research for picking growth stocks for long term holdings! I am an individual investor and have learned patience and trust for their recommendations and hope they continue their good recommendations. Thank you!
You can be foolish too. The Motley Fool's pithy stock choices have something for the experienced investor and the novice alike. I have been following them since their radio show before the last market down turn. The latest recommendations have helped me to beat the S&P averages... love them!
Wow prices kept going up. My access to 3 services was very good on two but Stock Advisor would always be slow to give me access. So all your big guys who pay more with the fool get their info before me. That why I said No More When Tom and David started they were all about customer, investor not now. The Fool is a marketing hype company. I get almost as good info doing my own research, yes I don't get the direct interviews right away. But with the crap they pulled slow rolling info to lower level while lightning fast access for those larger payees. I tried to talk to customer service but I was the 149.00 a year 99.00 Stock Advisor and 50.00 for Rule breakers then they threw in Retirement ( of little or no use). So I finally left them after like 20 years and having their services for a lot of those years. They are a Marketing company now that gives stock advise. There are a million of those. It's really to bad Tom and David took this path, it has made them millionaires over and over, but left us original supporters out. They don't need us anymore with all of the Marketing money spent. I'm sure theFool budget for Marketing is 100x larger then their investing pool. This tells you we're their plan is. Tom David you let the Originals holding a bag of Marketing poop.
I rely on the Motley Fool to choose my stocks. They have been consistent over the long term, so patience is rewarding. I have learnend not to jump on the shopping spree immediately after their first buy recommendation but to wait for a pull back. Also, I buy my stocks by selling cash-protected puts to soften the loss of a price pull back. Always do your diligence, but the Motely Fool is a good guide. I rely on them.
I don't have a lot of time for Market research. Motley Fool does that for me. As a "second generation" fool I am pleased with the service
I have been a Fool for many years. In 2004 I moved money from a 401 to an IRA and started using Fool tactics to investing. I wish I had moved the entire 401 as my Fool based investments have rewarded me greatly. I follow numerous podcasts, and both Stock Adviser and Rule Your Retirement services.
I have used this service fro many years and it is a great resource for finding stocks I would never think to look at. You still have to sort them based on your own investment tastes but several over the years have made me real money. Thank You Motley Fool!
The Motley Fool site is more commercial than I thought it would be. You are constantly barraged to sign up for more expensive and thus more informative plans. I thought MF was above this. They are good stock pickers but money (subscriptions) always the bottom line, not the consumer. Nothing is free, why should I expect more from this group. Nevertheless they do pick good stocks. I can only afford their basic plan.
Answer: Kind of a scam: impossible to cancel auto-renew subscription from their website and impossible to contact member support, been trying HARD for 15 days...
Answer: Absolutely not... pure waste of time and money...

Answer: If you'd like to know the reason behind our name, visit this site or read below: https://www.fool.com/about/ The Motley Fool's name comes from William Shakespeare's play "As You Like It". The court jester, known as the Fool, could speak the truth to the king and queen without having his head lopped off. The Fools of yore entertained the court with humor that instructed as it amused. More importantly, the Fool was never afraid to question conventional wisdom. In the same way, we aim to speak the truth about money and investing...and to make financial guidance accessible to people of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Answer: To start with, you stay as fat away from motley fools picks as you can. They are a huge pump and dump scam, nothing more. Anyone tellimg you different has skin in the game at motley fool headquarters. If a revolution breaks put, these scum bags are first on the list to be hung
Answer: They cater to different requirements. The motley Fool One combines them all but I am not sure is open to new members. I just renewed my three year membership that has yielded many times over its cost.
