At first I was not sure about booking with this airline just because of the negative commentssss. I've been pretty happy and surprised how good our first experience was with Flair. For those used to travail in Europe, it's exactly the same service/plane/extra then Ryanair/EasyJet/Jet2. You get what you paid for. We had no issues with our bag (we only brought two full back packs), either the check in, boarding, plane. Both planes were on time and the staff were nice and friendly. The only small issue we had is that we had to pay twice our seat reservation for the return flight. I ask for a refund via the chat and they say they will refund via the original booking card (I just requested it, so I will see if I will receive my credit) but overall, everything was perfect. Keep in mind that you will not have a complimentary glass of wine or hot towels.
Really worst experience ever. I was travelling to Vancouver on 27th of august and i added all my bags in advance as a package and stuff they do with checkin. I paid 120$ for 3 bags. Lady at the counter who checked me in was a disaster. First she make me pay extra for luggage again and then she left me at counter and went for another passenger at another stations. I was there calling her for assistance she completely ignored me. She makes me pay extra 90$ for the luggage. The timing was 1:40 pm around on that day. Really worst customer service ever. When i was coming back from Vancouver i checked in again there on 2 sept then the person who helped me didn't asked me any more money as he confirmed all of my bags were included in the package i got for 120 each as in 240 for both sides. So that means she made me pay extra for her pocket money … really horrible experience.
Ive had two flights cancelled from them before departure, out of nowhere, boom an email, ur flights cancelled. And i had to book myself other flights to get to my destination. Several delayed. Lost time, lost money, DONT think youllbe the exception, DONT book with them, dont take ur chances
Disgusting, fraud, rude staff, supervisor is so rude, unprofessional. This airline should be banned. This is a scam. They are all bunch of idiots. Stay away from them. Will never use this airline. Supervisor Abigail Notre at Pearson airline does not know how to speak to customers. Very rude. She is basically a threat to us. Must be sacked from her job. She does not know what is the meaning of customer service. Even other staff is rude too. Unprofessional behaviour. Unethical business practice. Just charging for everything even it says cabin luggage is free. SCAM FRAUD.
By the time you end up paying for seat selection. Checked bag and carry on it's not cheap anymore. Very disrespectful uneducated and unprofessional staff don't even have manners to talk to people

I was flying back from Toronto to Vancouver and was checking in via the Flair website. When I got to the seat selection, it showed any available seat had a zero cost to it. So I chose a seat and then it showed me it actually had a cost to the seat. So I tried different seats every single seat had a cost to it. I didn't want to pay the fee so I phoned customer support (you can actually find the number if you keep searching).
I told her about the problem and she told me she couldn't fix it. So I ask you (for the 1st time), is this their corporate strategy or incompetence? Corporate strategy to get you pay (for the seat) or incompetence. She told me I had to go to the flair counter at the Pearson to get the problem solved. The support person told me she made notes and counter agent would see it and fix the problem. So I had to leave an hour earlier (than my usual time to leave for the airport) to see the counter agent.
When I got to see an agent, she told me I had to signin to the flair site to prove I had a problem. Otherwise a $25 service fee would be charged. I was pissed because:
- does the counter agent think I coming to see her to waste my time and her time
- also the support person said everything would be ok and I wouldn't have to do anything.

So I signed in and she saw problem. After a minute, she said she couldn't fix the problem.

I didn't back down so she asked another agent who told her how to fix the problem. In the end, I wasted 1.5 hours for a problem which should never have happened.
Finally corporate strategy (get you to pay more) or incompetence (don't fix things to get you to pay more).
Missed two consecutive flights, first one was due to unforeseen circumstances and second one they closed the gate as we were trying to board…said no refund for either flight

I found the people working extremely rude, unprofessional and completely unsympathetic.
Be aware of Flair Air scams on their website. They ask you to check in online to avoid $25 dollars fee at the airport. When you go on their website to check in they show you all these free ($0) seats to pick from. If you even touch an option you won't be able to reverse it and remove the seat from your name and they force you to pay $20 or $30 for the seat. They deliberately made their website like this to force you pay more. Their customer service is beyond horrible too and they can't do anything when things like this happens. $20 is nothing but since they use nasty tactics to get our money I and a couple of other victims are forming a group and we are taking this to a small claim court. Maybe this way they learn not to scam and disrespect customers anymore. If you are victim too please reach out to me and I will explain how you should make a claim. You pay small fee but it well worth it.
This is by far the worst airline in Canada they rip people off left and right. You have to pay both ways for luggage with costs $500 plus they don't seat couples with each other you must pay additional $70 each for seating with your partner or spouse. Plus all food and drinks costs money inside the airplane. They don't even have common courtesy to feed you in a 5 hour flight. The employees are rude and horrible and airplanes are made 100 years ago.
I will never fly with flair airlines again nor I recommend anyone to do so.
Don't pay extra for seat assignments online. They will change up the seats you choose upon checking in and tell you that seats are not refundable. Had a terrible experience calling the call centre! Call centre reps just read a script and don't even try to help you. Spent more than $100 on extra leg room seats and assigned regular seats.

I was about to fly with Flair but my flight was delayed twice then finally cancelled without anybody from Flair to tell us what is going on. I only found out the alleged reason after I filed a compensation. They gave me two conflicting reasons why the flight was delayed. One is, they admit their fault so I am eligible and two is safety reason which means I am not eligible for compensation. The next time you book a flight, think twice. Either you want a nightmare or you want a success.
So first trip Edmonton to Vancouver delayed 4 hours, I get to the front desk staff were rude and unhelpful pointing to an online check in app with an attitude of disdain. Ok not disenfranchised yet BUT then my return flight back had a 12 hour delay which is bad enough but no text to inform me no email, nothing. I would never use again, west jet from now on. Absolute joke, rude incompetence, never again!
Flair has been extremely unreliable and not worth the price. Flair has a hidden price tag, and that currency is time and stress. They will consistently delay your flights, rebook and cancel flights, and offer bare minimum compensation. Even after offering compensation, they find workarounds to not pay the customers and to be a general inconvenience.
Very misleading agents! They all have different views and points they don't go buy the book? They just pressurize you to buy tickets they are offering or trying to extract more money from you because you are already going through a certain situation instead of helping you find a solution all they can think of is ways to charge you more money... very disappointed with their service desks they need to be more professional and have some humanity by trying to see what other persons situation is!
They told me to fly with covid for a custody exchange which needed to happend on a certain date rather then let me change the name on the ticket to my wife's name and let her go. It took more time and resources to avoid changing a name on a domestic ticket ( which I have done through other airlines) then I would have to just change the name and move forward.
This airline did not even offer free glass of water in five hour flight. You need to buy a bottle of water while leaving the flight there were no flight attendant to say thank you or bye. Attendant were very rude. I would rather prefer to pay hundred dollar extra and get a better flight. Just because it's cheap they want you to pay to even breathe in the flight. Please do not take this flight.
Flight was canceled by flair and they didn't rescheduled any flight for us. I try to reach them for refund but they refuse to give me the money back.
Stay away from these guys, its total chaos in there! Flight cancelled twice within a month and now the refund fiasco is in the making... Be good to yourself and buy your tickets somewhere else!
Answer: Terrible. ON hold for at least 30 minutes, and no help when you do finally get them.
Answer: Total scam. Wonder if the aircraft will actually get to thr destination on all thr "bandaids" they use to keep it together. And expect extortion rates at the gate for a personal item that will easily fit under the seat in front of you.
