The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with some customers appreciating the affordability and variety of services available, as well as the potential for building long-term relationships with freelancers. However, significant concerns dominate the feedback, particularly regarding delayed payments, unresponsive customer support, and a perceived lack of accountability for both sellers and buyers. Many users express frustration over unresolved disputes and the platform's failure to ensure transparency and quality among its freelancers. This highlights a critical need for improved customer service and stricter oversight to enhance user trust and satisfaction.

We were scammed on fiverr by a website developer, who never finished the project. He started a template and never completed it. He prolonged the project time on purpose. And us not being familiar with the return policy he made sure that he extended the time period to finish the website before we could get our money back, give us many excuses. He refused to communicate to us and Fiverr ended up siding with the web developer. We hired the guy in December and still don't have a finished website. First excuse was a car accident, the no internet in Pakistan, then he stopped corresponding. 600.00 lost. I highly highly recommend you going with another option, fiverr is deplorable.
Since they don't have a vetting process even for the high skill areas like software, accounting etc. many sellers are completely inexperienced. In addition, Fiverr provides them the wrong guidelines, which validates their wrong approach and make them confident in their mistakes. For example, we had some website development work and apparently filling out 8-10 questions is the prerequisite of estimate and paying the fee. No where in the process detailed requirements comes into the picture, which will naturally lead to poor delivery. Multiple developers confirmed - that is the Fiverrs methodology. So on top of being experienced, rookie suppliers now learnt to do things the wrong way. So you have to vet many many suppliers to possibly find one experienced one. We see that the experienced sellers are leaving this platform, because it failed to distinguish the experienced contenders from inexperienced pretenders.
I had been working deligently on my SEO work for my website myself and was doing pretty well. Then everything went sideways when I tried several "SEO" people on fiverr. I mean my rankings actually went DOWN! They did black hat SEO and could have gotten my website delisted off of Google! Complete waste of money. I also tried them for a logo and as it tuned out, the same logo had already been used by another company when I searched the trademark database. Fiverr is full of the lowest quality workers that have no real skills except for that they give themselves a title. It's full of beginners with no education nor qualifications. Fiverr accepts everyone and at any age and they don't care if someone is qualified or not. They don't check anything; anyone can give her or himself a title of whatever they want. The only thing Fiverr cares about is making money off of a bunch of stupid people, buyers and sellers, lured by super cheap prices. Sorry! But yes, I was one of the stupid buyers, many times over and each time I got crap. Yes, like you, I was lured by super cheap prices; but then I ended up being the real loser because I got nothing of value in return. It's like throwing money out the window and watching it float around and fly away. It's complete bologna. Complete waste of time and money.
Fiverr is low-no quality work.
(I uploaded one of my receipts to prove that this is a real review).
NOT INTUITIVE- I originally set up my account to hire a web developer but now I'm trying to set up offering of my business services but it's impossible to figure out how to do that on the platform. Extremely frustrating experience I've been on here 20 minutes and have gotten nowhere - it is very unclear how to even upload my photo
Fiverr is a good platform for new freelancers as it is straightforward and free to create an account as a seller. At this time, it has become a viral platform,.
Site doesn't work. Can't set up an account. Can't get to a contact page. And customer service sends you a link to submit a ticket. Guess what, that page doesn't work either!
Keep your money. I have dealt with quite a few (about 10) different sellers on this platform over the years. I was always thinking to save money, and help some less fortunate people out at the same time. I had faith and kept looking for a seller with an ounce of decency. They are no where to be found. The sellers will try to rip you off at the drop of a hat.
The very worst scenario is a project with payment milestones. Once a seller has received some payment, they now own you. They will try to get you off the platform, ask to send money directly to their bank... Stop working, delay after delay... have you believe they will continue,... etc... etc... Finally they will need more money to continue... "ALL" the sellers will act as though they care, and they are good people... DON'T BUY IT. Every seller I have had the displeasure of dealing with, are scammers.
The company (Fiverr) have told me that sellers will get banned for violations etc... Total B.S... Sellers can open new accounts so easily in other peoples names, emails, addresses, bank accounts etc...
Now with all of this being said, my projects have been copywriting and web related projects. So I can not comment other industry participants. But regarding my projects, I found Bangladesh and Pakistan sellers to be the worst, and Indian and African sellers not far behind... People from these countries prey on western people.
Hire local... Know who you are dealing with! In the long run you will save money and be much safer.
Good Luck!
I had an account but it was deleted when I went back to use it after a while.
No worries. But when trying to make a new one, my phone number was not accepted.
So support said, to give them the old username and email.
When I did, the new account was deleted, or at least suspended.
No reason is given, though there may be some type of vague accusation.
You cannot get to Support with an account, and when I make another, I am accused of breaking their rule of having more than one account.
What a useless circle.
I want to know what this is really all about, but...there seems to be no one to speak to.
Very weird.
#FO81B2EEE4282 The company is dishonest in many business practices. They do not post negative reviews and then allow sellers to make false claims.
My experience was in an order for a graphic design. There were many claims by the seller (Sony_GFX) about large companies who were their customers, like Amazon, AIRBnB, Shopify and they had 5 star reviews. Even their username suggests an association with the Sony corporation. What I received looked like it was thrown together with clipart and in my opinion was not the quality of the examples given. I was appalled and wrote an honest review. But the review isn't on the sellers page. There is no way to communicate with them to try and get a refund even though I never downloaded the product they delivered. They give only 3 days to communicate the project to an end and that isn't enough time in most all cases. In this case, the seller asked for changes to the design, but they didn't deliver anything that I felt would ever be acceptable from the quality of what was originally delivered. It was a bad experience and I got nothing for the money.
This is Fiverr in a nutshell. There is NO GUARANTEE of satisfaction. Sellers MISLEAD with false advertising. As long as they deliver something, there is no recourse to complain after 3 short days. Once that is complete, it's FU.
My user id is slegal1
I started being a customer in 2012. Every year the sellers were more and more incompetent. Free graphic design is better than fiverr sellers. Lately, the funds that were in my balance simply disappeared. No way to receive back your balance.
We are buyers. This is a story about losing customers quickly.
Teh first impression is that the site is nicely organised and its quite easy to find the right candidate(s). We negotiated our first project with a seller. All good. Seller sent an offer. Great.
We are not able to Accept the offer. Weird. We jumped through a few hoops, discovering that we had to complete some more details. Fine.
But we are still not able to accept the offer. Then we discovered that all messaging is blocked.
Ploughing through forums (always a bad start in our view) we understand that Fiverr has an anti-spamming policy. Which is admirable. We had a negotiation with one person, resulting in an offer. Thats not spamming.
Then we tried to lodge a support case but could not proceed because we didn't have an order. Correct, we can't accept the@#$%&* order.
We simply closed the account. Can't be bothered wasting time on a platform that aims to throw up barriers every step of the way.
One of the worst sites to buy in the internet,
I have got scammed and were charged way more than what i supposed to. The management is absolute garbage and are greedy for money. $#*! that site and i am never buying again.
Don't trust these f****** at all I've had four accounts with them they've never once had the sellers back people scam you unbelievably they say they can do something just to take your work and your idea then they harass you all hours of the f****** day bugging you constantly then they offer you a credit for the b******* that you went through then they close your account because they they're just a big piece of s*** stay the f*** off them you've been warned I was defending myself from this piece of s*** and they said I was using that bad manners yeah of course I am the guy scamming me lying to me accusing me of being a f****** kid when I'm a f****** 40-year-old man f****** ignorant I've ever previous orders like this where they're just a f****** garbage piece of s*** to f*** you Fiverr my lawyer will be dealing with you
I totally gave it the benefit months back, when I created a Seller profile for my professional voiceover business. Figured make few side hustle dollars with a client or two... until I discovered its a total mess. I swear the MOD or what ghosted the platform over time, because half my profile was wrong or missing info. Had to dig and waste time editing that didn't take. Just site errors to 'try again later' bs. Then locating support also wasted time. I swear half the users are nothing more than fake profiles who claim $100K earnings probably copy pasted or embedded from some other site
Had SEO work done, was told to wait 2 months to see results - nothing. Contact customer service and get told the seller did a great job, but if I felt otherwise they would need to see some proof (i. E. seller did a great job even though we haven't even seen what they've done yet). Immediately I felt a bias towards the seller side. My next customer service rep wasn't better... They said since I waited past the two weeks (seller says to wait 2 months) that I can't do anything about it. Great, well, definitely know where not to buy from! Fiverr, we're done.
Great Saller Best Logo Designer I Always Order From Your Gigs Bro With All File 24 Hour Express Delivery
Hello i m video editing and image crop edit and logo maker canva so pleas order me contact and may choice
Fiverr are not interested in resolving issues when work is not done.
Better to use Upwork our any platform that has third party hold money until work is done.
I paid upfront twice to same worker. I was happy to give work to developing country people. But after initial engagement there was none after they got the money.
I hope someone reads this before signing up as a seller. Fiverr is absolutely the worse. Firstly, they take a whopping 20%. Second, you can't verify on a Google Fi phone number. OH BUT DON'T WORRY! You just need to verify on a landline. That's right, you heard me correctly, a landline. An exclusively online and remote work platform will let you verify... with a landline.
I spent a whole-$#*! 3 days setting up my profile and a gig page only to find out at the VERY. EFFING. END of it all that I can't verify with my Google Fi phone; and dont' get me started on the "alternatives." I'm utterly speechless that Fiverr would be so dense and off-base with respect to their very own purpose and mission as a company. It's truly baffling.
I hired a seller (scammer) She was not able to develope my theme multiple extension deadlines. We both agreed to cancel. The she went and vandalised the source code so the them can never be fixed. I complained to fiver and then they offered me a discount equivalent to a lollipop. That scammers works in there like nothing ever happened. Stay away from fiverr. A buyer with over 20 projects in two months. Upwoork and Freelancer is 10 times better and safer.
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
