DON'T BUY BOWFLEX FROM FITNESS SUPERSTORE, IT'S EXPENSIVE SCRAP!
I purchased a Bowflex 25 treadmill and Velocore Cycle in Aug 2025 along with £425 for installation, total cost with mats/weights was almost £3500. Treadmill & bike were sold with 2 year warranty. I bought two Bowflex products due to compatibility as they both use JRNY app. Sales team didn't reveal that Bowflex was in administration and they would be unable to maintain or repair these expensive products, rendering them scrap when they fail and making warranty redundant.
The treadmill incline function stopped working first, then belt stopped functioning completely. Customer Services requested video which I sent, they didn't respond, so I called & spoke with Rhyus. He told me that they cannot source major electrical components for Bowflex equipment, although company is out of administration, they are not manufacturing spares, so they could offer partial refund. Note, Fitness Superstore continue to sell both the Bowflex 25 treadmill and Velocore Cycle, in full knowledge that they cannot support the warranty. This is like a Dealer selling a new car, it developing a fault when only a year old and the company refusing to repair it, leaving you with scrap!
I am left with one broken treadmill weighing 150kg and a cycle I know cannot be maintained, plus an additional subscription just renewed of £149 for JRNY app.
My emails requesting resolution are being ignored. I am only asking for reasonable resolution, i. E. replacement & installation of treadmill and disposal of the broken one.

BE CAREFUL USING THIS COMPANY

I've been a Personal trainer for about 25 years and run my own PT Studio for about the last 12 so you get a feel who I am.

I would seriously think twice about using this company for your gym kit especially if your not comfortable like me with a 'multi functional body power smith machine' being held together with Chains & snap clips in areas you'd usually find cables (I've never seen this in my 25 years). Personally I'm amazed that this is the case on certain products of there's but that's what you get and do to their lack of knowledge in the customer service department you'll take weeks go back and for on issues.

Also the manual to the kit was wrong which for me while erecting an industrial piece of kit is an horrific mistake but a simple email by them covers the problem in their eyes (MANUAL WRONG is pretty terrible).

The customer service if you get a problem is horrendous and I don't think they really haven't got a clue how to actually deliver good customer service.

If you just want some basic kit you'll PROBABLY be ok but personally I wouldn't take free kit of these let along buy off then again.

My advice is look elsewhere.

Good luck.

If you enjoy being scammed and treated like dirt, then look no further than Fitness "Super" Store. My experience purchasing an exercise bike from these charlatans was nothing short of a nightmare.
Firstly, let's talk about their website. It's a virtual wonderland of deceit, adorned with glossy photos designed to lure unsuspecting customers into their den of deception. Don't be fooled by the facade of professionalism; behind those polished images lie nothing but lies and substandard merchandise.
The charade continues when you reach out to them. Oh, they'll play nice alright. They'll sweet-talk you and happily take your hard-earned money without a second thought. But the moment you discover the shoddy, faulty product they've sold you, their true colors emerge.
Gone are the friendly façades and promises of quality service. Suddenly, you're nothing but a nuisance to them, a mere inconvenience standing in the way of their ill-gotten gains. Trying to get a refund or even a semblance of customer support from these swindlers is like trying to squeeze water from a stone – utterly futile and immensely frustrating.
Save yourself the headache and avoid Fitness Super Store like the plague. Unless, of course, you enjoy being taken for a ride – just not the kind you had in mind when you bought that exercise bike. Trust me, your sanity and your wallet will thank you later.

They made me pay for the return via courier (quite pricey) and they charged me for minimal rip on package! I lost half the price of the product on this. If you have any issue at all, not only they won't help you, but they'll charge you for the most basic things that you can find for free in other stores.

I have never dealt with such a bunch of crooks, we spent good money in Northampton store, it appeared to be faulty, so they bamboozled everything and stressed us out, arranging pick ups without informing us, we also have a faulty plastic cover, so we were told we would receive some compensation for our stress, and now they won't reply to our messages or the rogue we dealt with is a lier and is hiding, my advice to you would be to not give these cowboys your money go else where

Bought a Powertec workbench back in 2008. This comes with a lifetime guarantee from Powertec, and therefore expected to have a part that is starting to crack to be repaired or replaced. However, this companies view is to deny any responsibility for the warranty and pretend that they only gave me a 3 year warranty, without giving any proof to this effect, and opposite to the stated warranty on the manuals, the original order forms and several emails from 2011 that they are aware of the lifetime warranty from a senior manager himself, Steve.

Thoroughly disreputable company, that stoops this low. I am now in correspondence with both trading standards and with senior management at Powertec in the US, who are appalled at this.

Just don't. Bought an indoor bike. Cool to start with. Failed after 4 months, 2 year warranty. Three months to get a service visit. " Haven't got all the parts mate." Then decided it was all my fault. Apparently sweating near a piece of " maintenance free" ( their sales pitch) fitness equipment is now a crime. I work in the fitness industry, and I'm ocd. It was cleaned down every time I used it. Rubbish gear, worse customer service. I did. You don't have to.

This company is an absolute joke. I ordered a new treadmill on 17th February, which was delivered a week later. I paid for installation service, which they promise in writing to happen between 7-10 days, however this took almost 7 weeks (31st March), needing to chase them up / insist through a few calls. When the installation team finally came, the item didn't even switch on! It came faulty from warehouse. I have been trying to chase the company since then to either fix it or provide a new item, which hasn't happened yet. I find this service less than substandard. Fed up of this poor client service, I ordered a refund and return of item 2 weeks ago, but haven't heard anything back, nor have my money back.
Do not order from this company. Client service is non existent.

Waited over a month for delivery. I cancelled the order due to the delays. The staff told me the order was cancelled and promised refund which ever happened. The item appears 3 weeks after I had cancelled due to delays and was left out on the street when I was away and house empty, neighbours called me so i requested pickup but that too was promised delayed too so never got the item and never got refund. Totally hopeless support and follow up. Written off to experience. I will Avoid Fitness Superstore!

Terrible aftercare
February 9, 2022

Worst company for aftercare I have ever dealt with.
Rower turned up with parts missing in an obviously resealed box.
Logged a service request which took them 3 days to answer.
Still waiting for parts two months later!
Have chased multiple times with poor response and now asked for a full refund which has yet to be acknowledged.
Horrendous company - do not buy from them

Shocking Customer Service - Still Owed 2k
January 4, 2022

Bought a Bowflex treadmill in November for over £2k. Delivered in December and a member of the installation team arrived to install. After he opened all the boxes it was discovered that the treadmill was damaged. Frame heavily dented and broken plastic. They arranged pickup but their own engineer refused to pickup the treadmill as the box was open and weighed 180kg. Now we want to cancel the order due to being messed around customer service don't call back and ignore emails. After sales service is shocking. Absolutely no communication. Stay away from this company. False reviews on here. Click on 1 star and you will get a true picture (day after day) of the true Fitness Superstore.

Pathetic customer service
December 26, 2021

Delivered a kettlebell absolutely smashed to pieces and broken. Sent pictures and the delivery note very clearly showing all the details. Customer service did nothing. Said the delivery note wasn't clear and they wouldn't sort a replacement until I gave them details to pursue with the delivery company. I sent everything I had and told them the box was smashed to pieces hence why the kettlebell is smashed. Wouldn't sort or replace so will never buy from them again.

I have never had such bad service and communication from a company before. We ordered some nice new gym equipment and paid for the premium installation to save us the stress of installing it ourselves.
Since placing the order we have just been messed around and let down, time after time.
The communication shown by this company is simply awful, you get promised things are being done or they will ring you back and never hear anything.
Stay well away from this company.

BUYERS BEWARE!
August 7, 2021

BUYERS BEWARE! I have had a Body Craft Rower for quite a few years and was told there really wasn't anything to replace on this rower so it should last a long time. With frequent use, which is definitely the objective, it eroded and became so noisy that it wasn't usable without being fixed. Back in 2020, I reached out by calling the store in Avon, CT and talking with several store managers (they cannot seem to keep them) and the Director of their Operations. A service rep came to assess the situation and order the parts which took months to come in. The part finally arrived and we scheduled a return visit, which was cancelled by the company OVER AND OVER after I rearranged my schedule to accommodate them. Finally, someone showed up…BUT…the same guy came back (I thought with the part) and when he returned from the room where the rower was he gave me his assessment again and told me I needed to order the same part all over again. He did not realize he was even here before. After many more phone calls to try to resolve this very frustrating experience, I asked for my money back altogether so that I could just go buy a new rower. We are now in Aug of 2021, many phone calls, text messages and emails and guess what? No refund! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. They are not a Body Craft Dealer and have the worst customer service I have ever seen. They are rude, unresponsive, disrespectful and was not able to either fix the rower I paid big money for OR issue a refund on a service they never provided. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!

The worst company I have ever dealt…
The worst company I have ever dealt with. No customer service, just put through to sales team, with no clue about customer service. Brought a Schwinn bike which arrived faulty (it happens). In the end they couldn't repair or replace it, after about 15 calls. Took 3 over months to organise returning. Even though we just wanted the bike to be replaced with one that worked. I'd stay away. Waste of our time/money and space. Staff were rude and was left feeling ripped off. Crazy way to do business….

Ordered a Nordictrack treadmill from this company in March. Delivery was pretty quick but the unit was faulty - the belt didn't line up.

We tried to contact Fitness Superstore straight away (within the 14 day return window) but emails were unanswered and the phones just ring out.

After going through Facebook messenger someone finally got back to us and referred it to Icon (Nordictrack manufacturer). We had the runaround from them for weeks with no further contact from fitness superstore and eventually Icon agreed to fetch the treadmill in the middle of May (looks like they have issues with all of their products).

We notified fitness superstore that the treadmill had been collected, only to be informed that we wouldn't get a refund until they got their credit note from Icon, even though our contract was not with Icon.

Luckily we had started the process in March of claiming the money back through the bank chargeback process as we couldn't get through to fitness superstore. We got our money back from the bank at the end of June, otherwise I think we would still be waiting.

I will never use this company again.

Shockingly BAD!
February 16, 2021

I purchased a Nautilus R628 in March 2020. I had problems almost immediately with the chair. After several weeks an engineer finally attended to the machine. He left but the item was still not right. After sales service was shocking. Generic replies to emails, no call back, no apology.
In the past month the flywheel no longer offers any resistence. The bike is now effectively useless.
Again no interest at all. No personal service and no effort to resolve.
Avoid company at all costs. I spent £850 so not cheap either.
Service is so bad they don't deserve one star!
