My second Fitbit just died after a year and a half. The screen on the watch went blank and it also stopped monitoring my heart rate. I tried all the fixes that were suggested but nothing worked. I did a live chat with Fitbit representative and was told all my troubleshooting was exhausted and there was nothing they could do. I got an email that the warranty was up but they offered to give me 35% off on a new Fitbit. Even that was a hassle to try to do it in the end I had purchased it and the discount showed on the screen, but I checked my credit card pending payments and it still shows the full price. Perhaps they go back in and reimburse the difference but I saw someone write on here that they did not do that for them. I canceled my order immediately. I do not trust them and I will never buy from them again
Dealt with Fitbit for six weeks on trying to get a replacement for the defective Alta HR I returned to them. Said they're replacement then heard nothing for after I had to call them. Then nothing for two more weeks. Called and they said they had cancelled the order but I would have to go to another site for the reason. Went to the other site and they wouldn't give me a reason. Then got an email stating they were having difficulty processing the request and would send an email when shipped. They won't and I really don't care at this point. I have never had a more disgusting experience with any customs service department. I'm now going with Garmin. Screw Fitbit!
I got a Fitbit charge for Christmas in 2015. It broke-actually cracked in half. After a lengthy argument thru email and a few nasty comments by me they reluctantly replaced it. They said it was synced in August of 2015 when I got in for a Christmas present new off eBay from my so. The replacement also cracked in half and they said they wouldn't replace it but offered a 25% off a new one. I said why would I buy more defective junk from them. Rip offs. Do not purchase. Do research first.
Bought my first Fitibit in 2015 had it replaced less than one year as the band was boubbling. Received the replacement and having the same issue within the year. This time they do not cover the warranty. The warranty is only on the purchased item. They clearly have a defect and the company is not recognizing it. Will never buy another one. Very disappointed!

As of March 27,2023 Fitbit is canceling the challenges, the feature that distinguishes it from other Fitbit trackers and smartwatches. Fitbit.com is still advertising these features to unsuspecting customers and premium memberships are not being refunded if cancelled. Many users have the premium membership for the bingo challenges. Google has bought Fitbit for the platform and have introduced the Google Pixel smartwatch (which is being sold now on Fitbit.com). It appears that they will be phasing out Fitbit and push users to their smartwatch. However, Garmin, Apple and Galaxy watches also provide health analytics, track steps and tell time. They all do it better than google pixel such as auto-detect exercises. I will not be investing in any further Fitbit products or google pixel. Google/Fitbit is removing the features like challenges, adventures and open group which provide connectivity and social motivation.
The Pebble smart watch was supposed to be this big revolutionary product when they got their kickstarter funding and scored big with their $5M in funding. I think we all thought they would have all of these amazing apps at the time of launch. Instead what we got was what many called a "prototype". Now finally they have a steel version of the same watch which should at least look better but they still do not have any killer apps which would keep this watch in the lead. I saw samsungs watch and it looked far better and had more apps available for it that were useful to me. I think the pebble smart watch is a great buy still as that is really all there is available unless you have a samsung note phone. Otherwise, wait for the apple watch as it is supposedly around the corner. If the pebble watch suddenly get more useful apps then I think this could be a great device and I wish them the best.
I bought fitbit- Versa watch which stopped working within warranty period. I approached the support team and according to them they were suppose to replace the watch, after four months of continuous expediting at least three team said they will refund me the money, for that I need to send the old accessories to them. I got the accessories delivered through DTDC courier services long back with proof of receipt of courier at v their warehouse, still fitbit- is denying the receipt of courier. This reflects on fitbits malafide intentions. I don't see them refunding my money back in future their team have gulped my money.
Fitbit renewed my ANNUAL premium membership and the reciept showed a 12 month membership. This month they charged me again. I contacted them and they said that the membership was 9.99 per month. I replied that the reciept they sent earlier.
Fitbit Premium Membership (12 Month Membership)
$9.99
Qty: 1
Unit Price: $9.99
Truth in advertising needs work -- I will never buy anything from Fitbit again.
I have owned several Fitbit's. I recently purchased a new Charge3 because the other one I had died after four months. The new one lasted two weeks! I had to send it back. Ten days later nothing. I call and the say the don't have it back. I need a product
That is reliable longer that two weeks! Shame on you Fitbit
Bought FitBit Alta HR. Had it about a year and a half and it won't recharge. It's just dead. Emailed customer service, thought I could just replace the battery, but NO it's not possible, so now it's just garbage. They offered 35% discount on a new FitBit, which I considered, but NO, I only get the 35% off on certain ones, not the one I want. So I purchased an Apple Watch (Series 3) and very happy with the purchase.
Who doesn't have a repair shop?
Well Fitbit don't!
I bought my Fitbit Versa watch and within a week the screen cracked because of circumstances out of my control, but Fitbit just said: Sorry we don't have any repair shops and I should just buy myself a new one. As if it wasn't an expense watch already. Ughhh wish I rather took a Garmin watch.
I ordered the Fitbit Ionic directly from their site and they mailed it to the wrong address. Then, in two separate emails, I was told I need to contact Fedex and the post office to find out where it is, despite it was directly their fault for mailing it to the incorrect address. I suggest a Garmin or really ANY other product because their customer service is atrocious.
The one star is because the product was not terrible. The Customer Service on the other hand is flat out BAD! I have been waiting for six months now for a refund of a recalled product. I have made several calls, always with a promise to "ESCALATE" the call. Then wait, and wait, and wait, and wait and then call back again, "Oh, I am so sorry sir. This should not be taking so long. Let me ESCALTE this." Don't bother asking to speak to a supervisor, you will be placed on perma-hold with terrible hold music for 15-minutes and then hung up on. I have now called FitBit 8 times, over 6-months, to try to get this resolved.
I bought a Fitbit Charge 3 in 2019 based on the Fitbit name. At first I LOVED it! After having it close to a year I noticed the screen would go black. It would buzz, but nothing on the screen. I went on their website and found the solution... it worked. Then it started doing it more. After a litlle over a year... just out of warranty... the screen went black and stayed black. If you look at the forums, you'll see this is a HUGE problem affecting hundreds of their customers. Support was useless and condescending. When trying to post on their forums my posts were repeatedly deleted as being "inflammatory or irrelevant." Recently they banned me from their site. After the first one died, I posted on my Facebook page about this defective product. One of my friends had a Charge 3 but (wisely) had switched to an Apple watch. She gave me her Charge 3. It worked great... for one year and 2 months. It too has developed the black screen of death. I just purchased a Garmin. I will NEVER purchase another Fitbit product. They do not stand behind their products and care absolutely nothing about their customers. Shameful for such a well known company. I tried uploading a brief video, but having trouble. I'll try and add later if possible.
I have bought the original Fitbit (Flex 2) and the Charge HR. The band on the original broke repeatedly and so I moved up to the Charge HR. The band on that, too, fell apart. In addition, the unit stopped charging. I am not buying any more Fitbits. There are other products out there that have better longevity.

I like Heather M had the same service. My watch was defective after less than a year and was replaced, 5 months later the same thing happened to the replacement. Also was given a lousy 25% off my next purchase. With such awful service and pride of a product I will make sure EVERYONE knows to buy something else cause this is a cheap product and the service is sub standard. STAY AWAY!
I should have read all these reviews before getting a fitbit product. My charge 3 has spoilt 4 times in less than a period of 6 months. If i count the actual usage period, its actually 1 unit spoiling less than 1 month. HOW TERRIBLY UNRELIABLE. I have wasted so much time n effort on this stupid device and Fitbit refuses to extend my warranty. CS sucks, be in email, facebook or call.
If u r looking to get a fitbit, please just save yourself the hassle and get another brand. $#*!BIT should go bust.
I had three Charge FitBit devices and one Alta. The product quality was EXTREMELY disappointing for all four devices. I had my first Charge replaced three times in less than three years and the started experiencing issues with the Alta thirteen months after receipt. The FitBit agent was not interested in helping with issues because there one year warranty period had expired. If you want a fitness tracker that will work longer than one year, perhaps consider trackers from other companies.

I have had 2 Fitbits. One only lasted eight months. The replacement one only lasted seven months. The first on wouldn't hold a charge. The second one the back was coming apart all four of the screws just came apart. It is a waste of money. The customer service need to have better peoples gas. They offer you 25% off of your next purchase. No thanks. DONE and DONE. Very disappointed in the product.

I bought a Fitbit Alta... cost 200.00. I used for a bit more than 1 year and died. I brought my device in Telus, I went to see them because
The watch band separated from the Fiti bit. Explained to staff my problem, She communicated with Fit bit. She told me they where going to send me a new one. I bought a new one for 90.00 and a week later the Fit bit stop working. P went again to Telus. Try to help but fail. They only sell them.
