First, the food is great.
On the negative side, Factor tells customers very little about the different meal plans they offer. How do the plans differ in terms of macronutrients or total calories? Factor doesn't know. Does the plan usually come with fish each week? "It depends." Factor gives customers almost no information on what to expect each week, unless you log into your account and adjust the meals manually each week, which I don't want to do.
Factor support has been, in my experience so far, terrible. I reached out via email, they replied but did not answer my questions, I replied to the email, and then I never heard back from them. I called the support phone number and had a similarly frustrating experience. Poor communication, not much help.
I've been a customer of Factor for around a year, enjoying their food and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, recent experiences include receiving recalled food, undelivered orders, and encountering disrespectful service from their customer center in the Philippines. Complaints about password changes were dismissed, despite a supervisor admitting to it over a recorded line. Overall, I don't recommend their service due to declining quality in both food and customer treatment. Consider ordering from a different provider.
They are shipping old food. It's not fresh. Recalled under cooked chicken but still shipped it next week and charged my account. First recall, OK, I understand something went wrong but then why you ship food with the same problem next week when your email says it's under cooked again. How old is the food before you ship it. How do you know next week food is going to be under cooked. You sent recall email on Dec 25th for that week's food but your email also has Jan 3rd date as well, which means next weeks food. Food is supposed to be cooked and shipped the same day. Not a week later. I am ordering 10 meals! That means it needs to be fresh so I can keep it in fridge for few days. I threw them all away in the trash where this food belongs. I don't want to get my family sick.
4 of my 6 boxes have been over two days late. One of those 6 only contained 5 out of the 10 meals I PAID FOR.
Factor "customer support" will continuously issue you "credits" while simultaneously applying a dinky discount to your next three boxes. (Which I assure you they will f%#k up again within the next three boxes, so keep that in mind). You cannot utilize the credits until you are paying for a box without any discounts applied (which remember - they are CONSTANTLY applying *******@ss discounts) I am up to $184 in credits but I have 5 more weeks of 10% discounts. PATHETIC.
What this shady company doesn't understand is that we're spending both our money and our time. I made payment, received confirmation but no box. If they really thought food is important, they would understand what happens when a customer has to suddenly plan, purchase, and prep food for a week, that wasn't planned on. That's a lot of time spent. You cannot rely on their delivery; you cannot rely on them for weekly food.
Don't waste your time on this horrible company. I had the same experience with HelloFresh and didn't listen to myself—Factor is the same company, the same practices and the same horrible service and customer support. Zero stars.
BEWARE!
I went on their site 3 weeks ago and activated my account(Apparently that makes it an autoship account and a week later I was charged $228.
They claimed they couldnt cancel the charge. Spoke to a supervisor, and he assured me that I would be refunded in 5- 10 business days...way too long for me!
A week later the order shows up at my house...sent it back...the driver told us it happens 9 x out of 10 deliveries!?
Where does the food go? Wasted?
Fast forward to 13 days later...9 business days.no refund yet. Called their customer service, no refund had even been issued...and he tells me it will be ANOTHER 5-10 business days... amd wouldn't put me on w a supervisor...said it would take 24 hours...
BEWARE! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THEM EVER AGAIN!
***I had been a good customer previous to this and the food was great...so I am super disappointed about this...
I love Factor meals. They canceled my subscription unexpectedly without notifying me, throwing my next few days into a tailspin, since I had counted on the next delivery to be coming to me. I made several phone calls to them, chats and emails. A really devastating experience and one that I won't repeat. I gave their Customer Service team 56 hours to turn it around and crickets! No response from Factor. Nice way to retain a customer spending $5000. A year of their meals. Moving on ;)
This week I received an email there would be a delay of one day in my meal delivery, the next day following the rescheduled delivery, i received a second email it would be two days. On the new delivery date (2 days late) I receive an email that my meals will not be delivered due to their logistical issues. This week I was depending on the meals as I don't have additional cash for groceries; when I contacted their offshore support, I was given all typical pleasantry talk but no actionable plan to compensate me other than $5 & a refund which would take up to 10 business days. The refund is my right, for the service I didn't receive; but I was not compensated for the additional emotional distress or inconvenience; other than a lame apology. What was meant to be a smooth experience, ended up being my worst nightmare as I have no food, or groceries for this entire week. I spent hours trying to reach someone as this is an emergency, factor75 dropped the bomb; left me to pick up the bill. Its offshore customer support lied to get me off the phone stating I would get a call from one of the US based supervisors; come to find out this is not even an option of receiving call-backs. The lack of support, and the unreliability added a lot of unnecessary stress and now I'm stuck with no food for the week.
After being highly encouraged to try their subscription service, I utilized their first-time promotion to sample their product and brand, befote deciding to investment.
Spoiler- they are not worth it.
After receiving our selected meals, I canceled my subscription online- through their website's instructions to ensure my subscription was indeed canceled.
Yet today, 13 days after canceling, I received a singular text saying my second box was out for delivered within a few hours. What?!
I quickly searched for any email, any notification from the company- absolutely nothings to indicate my account was still active.
But they sure did withdrawal funds from my account.
My husband called their customer service department; I was surprised to hear his professional frustration over my meeting, as he's pretty laid back.
He was told that without an email confirmation of the cancellation there was nothing they could do.
Ensuring my husband they'd send a cancelation confirmation to my email within an hour or so.
I waited 3 hours before calling back, sharing that I wasn't frustrated with the representative, but the experience I've had with the company.
That changed when Christopher continued to read from a script- powerless to do anything, repeating it with apathy.
I reiterated that I still hadn't received a cancellation today- that this cycle is untrustworthy and madding as they refused to resolve the error in any way.
They took no accountability, would not refund payment- full or partial - or offer an iota of human professionalism as their platform suggests.
I'm truly disappointed in this company- they claim to support healthy meals and, and foster local community.
Please save yourself the exhaustion and avoid this heartless company; I wish I had.
I was very busy the week for my meal selection and forgot to go in and place a skip on the meal delivery. It was very disappointing to find out that Factor 75 would auto ship me meals containing meat, when my initial order did not contain meat. I think if you are going to auto ship someone meals. It should at least be in line with what the person has ordered in the past. I just donated $101 to Factor for something I don't eat, and the food has a high sodium content.
I was asked to provide proof of purchase; however, at this time the only proof I have is my bank statement as of November 5th,: transaction was initiated on Nov. 1st and extracted from my bank account on Nov. 3rd, but I do not have an email notification. The last email from Factor is regarding my cancellation as of Nov. 5th, and prior to that was my initial order in late October.
$14 a pop for dinky little glorified TV Dinners. Just to add salt to the wound, they didn't even send me what I picked, nor what they prepicked which is just extra confusing. Apparently they just send whatever they feel like. They taste like reheated leftovers, which is exactly what I expected but I thought that I should share that in case anyone was wondering if they were any better.
Not recommended.
Food has been consistently good.
They use FedEx to ship their food. Boxes started showing up damaged. Food was exposed and splattered inside of shipping box. Food has shown up this way multiple times. Had to cancel. The last order showed up with lid of the box open.
I put my subscription on hold for 3 weeks and lo and behold my account was charged. This cost me to overdraw and my checking account and when I contacted customer service they were pretty much like oh well that's not our problem, we can't do anything for you. So I would have continued service if they would have offered any type of solution to my problem but they did not so I canceled out right and I will not recommend this food service to anyone and I plan on posting on every single site that I can

Hellofresh allegedly employing children
Do you think that the missing 350k+ children some could end up working for a multinational corp? BLACKROCK?

I canceled my subscription based on the parent company Hellofresh. Hellofresh pulled ads from Rumble in an attempt to cancel Russel Brand. This is trial by media and anti 1st amendment. Here in America you are innocent until proven guilty. My dollars will not support any company who believes in censorship.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. The food is terrible. They add so many spices that it doesn't taste very good. If you are not home they will just leave the package outside. If it goes missing or anything you still have to pay for the meals. The customer service team is extremely unhelpful. If you dont cancel with alot of advance notice they will still charge you and wont let you cancel even though the next delivery is a week away. This company is a complete rip-off. Please do your research before joining this subscription. There are so many bad reviews online, with all the similar issues that I just shared.
I was considering trying the Factor 75 meals. They REQUIRE a credit card be put in to get pricing and meal information. First red flag. Then I make my selections and get to the shipping page and realize they will be delivering it on the week I'm away. I stop the process and don't complete the transaction. I receive no emails confirming anything. I never completed the order but left things in my cart to order for the following week. This AM I see they've charged my AMEX. I check my email, trash and spam folder to see if they ever sent an order confirmation. I am certain I did not complete the order. BECAUSE I'LL BE ON VACATION! I call customer service at 6 am. They disconnect the first two calls. The third call they tell me it's too late. BEWARE of this company! I have cancelled my order for next time which I never set up but there is already a second order scheduled. They refuse to delete my credit card. Real scammers. I've contacted AMEX to dispute the charges. Now that I have contacted AMEX and disputed the charge I finally get an email acknowledging I have cancelled my subscription. Why no confirmation of the alleged order/subscription? So you can't cancel until after the point of no return.
Get 1/2 of meals ordered. Got a $158 empty box Great food bad service no call backs from mgrs!
I'd give them a zero if possible. On 9/7/23 I entered my credit card information so I could browse their menu (I should have noticed something was up due to this requirement). After reviewing their menu, I decided that I was not impressed and immediately cancelled (I was on their site for approximately 3 minutes). I received a confirmation email that I had cancelled a few minutes later. A few days later I reviewed my bank account and noticed that on 9/13/23 (6 days after cancelling) Factor charged me $110. I called the company and explained the situation. They told me that they see I cancelled, but that there was a 2nd place on their site that I needed to cancel and because I did not do that, my order WOULD ship (they could have cancelled the shipment) and arrive on September 18th. I was then hung up on by the Factor Rep. This is ridiculous and compete fraud. How can a someone cancel, receive confirmation of the cancellation and then 6 days later be charged for something that hasn't yet shipped and they never wanted? I received the meals today (9/18/23) and again called Factor because I wanted to return the meals that I did not want and did not rightfully pay for. I was told there is nothing they could do and I could not return the product. I was also told that DO NOT RETURN it is "clearly" written on the box the meals were shipped in. I filed a fraud claim with my bank, received a temporary credit and am waiting for their final decision.
I can see why they have a high volume of calls. Chat people do not understand what is written in simple language. They could not find my orders either by number, by invoice, by email or phone number. I asked to have someone in authority call me back and no one did. A phone call on Tuesday seemingly to escalate the priority of a missing order from JULY - it's now September - never got done. They have no records of chats, two of which got disconnected as did a phone call. Just straight up incompetent. The only reason I gave one star is that my cousin did receive her gift plan email and thought the meals were good. My daughter having had hand surgery never got her email with gift card. I corrected her email four times with people and online the day of the order but it never got corrected. But seriously, entering phone numbers and emails over and over? Ridiculous!
Really deserves 0 stars. The food is awful, it's filled with salt and is inedible. I still tried to keep it out of convenience but I missed the deadline to change my meals by 6hrs just ons time and they refused to change the meals or skip them for me! I'm a vegetarian and they sent me all meals with meat… it was $135 of food that is just going to go to waste. I called twice to try and get it fixed and they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. I asked fo speak to a supervisor twice and they kept telling me one is not available because they were all busy… I called at 6:10, right when they opened. I also explained I'm not a person of a lot of means. And because I was counting on food from them and can't afford more groceries for this week and they pretty much told me they don't care. I get that I missed the deadline but people make mistakes and it was the first time I had done this. Usually theres room for one mistake. Especially when someone can't really eat now for a week! This company is horrible. Do not get fooled!
Answer: Nope there isn't a single positive thing that happened
Answer: I'm brain dead apparently and didn't realize it could be this horrible or that customer service would be horrendous
