$14 for one of these meals? Are you kidding me? Tried to pause next week but app wouldn't let me log in for two days. TOO LATE they say, sorry. Food coming anyway and we took your money. Cancelled the entire thing today. Total Scam
I am very disappointed at the deceit by factor, claiming that they offset their carbon footprint. They have sent me my first delivery in two separate shipments, which means: two trucks, two trips to the same doorstep on the same day. Today i received a factor box, with thermal padding and an ice pack, only to find two tiny addons in it. An entire box, padding and ice, for two small cereal bars. I wonder if the people at factor have any electric signals going through their brains. I respect the planet, so companies like factor aggravate me.
I ordered 10 meals and I got a package with 10 meals… just not the ones I ordered. I called and they gave me a partial credit until I escalated it and demanded all of my money back for an order they messed up. They gave it to me as credit and told me it would be applied to my order… in 10 weeks. What scam of a company takes your money, gives you incorrect product, and then holds your money for 2.5 months? Obviously a company that is so crappy they have to trick people into staying with them. There's tons of other meal options… pick one of them, stay far away from Factor.
This company lures people to subscribe to them, making a good discount on the first order. Then they will withdraw money from your card without warning and send you the cheapest set of food if you do not have time to choose food on time or miss it. As a new customer, I didn't know about it. I immediately turned to support with a request to cancel the order, as I did not like their food. They refused me, saying that it was not in their politics and we should have done it earlier. After that, I went to look for the unsubscribe button and didn't find it. It turns out where it should be - IT'S JUST NOT THERE! You will also be prepared for the fact that you will not be able to remove your CARD FROM THE SYSTEM. It's nonsense, but then it turned out that to cancel the subscription you need to click on the link, which is very difficult to find and not everyone will guess. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY, IT'S NOT WORTH IT
I just got screwed over by factor. I canceled my subscription and future orders and even emailed them about all the cancellation and they ignored this. They stole the money right out of my account after they sent a box that I didn't want and after I canceled it. I would not recommend this company as they will take from you and never reply back to you!
During a factor delivery the driver stepped on and crushed my prescription sun glasses. I will be reaching out to factor to see if they are willing to refund me the amount of the glasses or relieve the situation.
Called 7:05pm 8/20 and spoke to David. Dedicated team was contacted to fix issue of broken glasses.
Called 5:21 pm 8/23 and spoke to Mary. Was informed that the carrier was the first one to be contacted prior to the dedicated team. I asked to be connected to a manager and was left on hold for 13 minutes. Jose picked up and is placing me back on a brief hold for 10 minutes and was informed he would be contacting the courtier.
Called 5:15pm 8/24 and spoke to geo. Geo took my information for a 3rd time and placed me on hold. Was placed on hold for 25 minutes and Sven answered the call. I was a question to send an email showing the damaged sunglasses to her email. I have been informed I will be contacted in 24 to 48 hours pertaining to the development of what will be done about the broken glasses.
Called 1:15pm 8/27 and spoke to Kyle. I was not called back from the previous call and had to call factor myself. I was placed on hold for 10 minutes then informed the manger will not take my call. After informing Kyle I would be leaving a bad review on the factor page he quickly changed his time and took my information. I am now on hold to speak to the manager. After a 5 minute hold I spoke with Van. Van has followed up with the courier. Nothing further can be done and I was informed that Van will call me back tomorrow at 1:42 PM. I will be patiently waiting for that call.
I was called 2:15pm 8/27 by Dom Reed. But was unable to take the call.
I was called at 3:47 PM 827 by Dom Reed. Dom informed me that a picture taken of the box next to my glasses prior to the glasses being broken is all the proof she needs to inform me that her driver did not step on my glasses. Factor will not be honoring the week I've spent to try to get a refund for the destruction of my glasses.
My husband cancelled his plan under his email the first day he signed up because he didn't use the right military discount code. They billed for 3 more weeks and blamed him. I used the military code. First week was ok. But I didn't eat a meal before the second week ordered and the second week tasted spoiled. So threw it all away. All told paid 5 weeks of food (70 meals) and ate 14 meals between the two of us.
First, while the food is palatable, it disappointingly resembles many frozen meals in local supermarkets. Stripped of the fancy plating and marketing, it could easily be mistaken for a frozen meal, not something one would expect at a price point of $12-14. The actual weight of the meals is also less than what the website claims, raising concerns about the company's honesty in its preparation and ingredient listing.
Factor's default setting is to auto-bill you weekly, and opting out for a particular week requires action nearly a week before the delivery date. There's no option to pause the service indefinitely without canceling. Signing up is a breeze, but canceling is a different story. You have to hunt to find the 'our lawyers say it's technically there ' cancel button or phone number, a process that's far from user-friendly.
The application can be buggy, so you better hope all goes well when you edit your order or try to pause a shipment. Their customer service is outsourced and acts primarily as a barrier to solutions rather than a facilitator, parroting inflexible policies while offering little to no transparency. It's not surprising that the BBB does not approve them; one representative straightforwardly stated, "Factor doesn't make invalid charges," in response to my inquiry about their process for handling billing errors.
Yikes.
One would expect a company to be flexible, especially when the product hasn't shipped, and the issue is reported promptly. However, this lack of transparency, coupled with their stance of 'we can never do anything wrong,' leaves one without recourse.
It's technically not a scam; you will likely receive food (sometimes, whether you want to receive it or not), but it behaves and structures itself as one in many of its practices.
For something marketed to busy people, it seems unlikely they aren't hedging their bets on many of those busy people forgetting to pause a week, not double checking if the application bugged out when making changes, and for most of those busy people to be too busy to fight them on any of their billing or shipping mistakes (which they'd likely say is out of their hands and is the fault of the delivery company).
I'd recommend Instacarting lean quinine meals (for more food, lower prices, and more reliable delivery times) and, if you feel like it, advise your favorite publication or influencer to avoid sponsorship with this company.
I ordered factor waited two weeks for it to come. My shipment was scheduled and never showed up. Three days later I contact them because they did not contact me. They lost my order. Their resolution to the problem was to credit be $100 on my seventh order! I don't even know if I'd like the food. I've never tried it, and they want a Credit me if I order 7orders! They never contacted me when the order was never going to show up because they lost it. They were just going to bill me and send my next box. If it even got there, I didn't go to the grocery store, so went out to eat two nights in a row waiting for my box, it was never going to show up and they were never going to contact me. Do not whatever you do try the service when I tried to call the customer. Service agents are very hard to understand and can do literally nothing for you. Their goal is to hook in the subscription and keep you, because after three phone calls, they still have not credited me back my account, and they had not canceled my order as I had asked never ever ever do business with these people
Touted as a plant friendly meal delivery service I ordered a large order for my vegan family. Our first order arrived filled with meat and fish. I called immediately since we can't eat any of these foods. Customer service was clearly outsourced to overseas and instead of realizing that good customer service includes resolving the issue, the Factor 75 reps just said, well it's your fault. And they said that even if I had only wanted vegan food, they have only two meals that week that would have been okay for us so that means that we would have received 18 meals of basically the same meals. So it was misrepresented marketing. I had to call the company several times because it kept cutting out, I'm assuming due to overseas connections. What a waste of $150. So disappointing and frustrating. Never, ever again!
We have been subscribers for 2 years. For the most part the meals are OK. Not spectacular, but decent. On occasion deliveries have ended up at the wrong house and once were left at the gate at the front of the community. We have extended grace and understanding because those problems were infrequent.
Unfortunately, over the past 3 consecutive weeks Factor has dropped the ball. Each of these past three weeks, the deliveries have been 2-3 days late. More important than that each of the past three weeks, HALF OF THE MEALS were missing.
Dealing with their customer service is frustrating. The overseas call center is woefully inadequate. They don't speak or understand English very well and are not much use in solving problems. When I requested to speak with a supervisor or manager I was hung up on.
Took a month to get my first order and the food was just ok. Canceled and they still send food and charged my card. Had to block them from my CC. Once you cancel With them you can no longer login to your account
I waited for almost 3 weeks for the meals to be delivered. I was told because of the holidays there might be a delay. I waited for 3 weeks and still no delivery of the meals yet they keep charging me every week. I was told that I would get a refund from Factor but that never happened. I had to dispute the transactions with my credit card company.
I ordered these meals.
1. never received called them they refunded the money but said my address was wrong. The address they had provided me was wrong but there is not even a street in my town by that name so I have no idea where they got the address.
2. Told the to cancel my subscription they said they cannot because the second box was processed they told me to go thru my bank. So paypal filed a report but then sided with Factor 75 saying I had received my meals, which I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED them.
I advise against using their servce.
I used this service for about 6 months. Some of the meals were good, the convenience or the meals was good, but I often received the wrong orders. I would order 8 meals, receive only 2 meals, and be billed for the 8. The first time, I contacted them and they said they would credit my account. I thought it was a one time problem. Then it happened two more times. I contacted customer service, it took forever, not good service. I insisted they refund the money on my credit card. They agreed. It never happened. I wouldn't use them again ----buyer beware!
Factor delivery is unreliable. Often delayed by one or two days. I count on meals when I order them because I don't grocery shop AND order prepared meals. This leaves me with no lunch at work for days at a time. Last order was missing a meal and 4 of them are NOT what I ordered. (PS the beef is really gross. Very low grade.) After 21 boxes I am fed up with the unreliability, I canceled my account.
They treated me like garbage when I called customer service after I was sick and I didn't get a chance to review and change my order. First of all, why are they picking whatever they want and if you don't reply on time, they will ship you the order and charge you when it's not the order you want! I called and pleaded after spending thousands of dollars with them and their customer service rep was so disrespectful and rude. Told me he can't do anything that I have to pay for or when I never even got the order yet and I was calling in advance to where we could have both canceled the order and been happy! I disputed with my credit card and factor still has not bothered to credit my account so I don't have to go through a dispute! They are crooks! The way their business is designed is to steal your money and not be helpful when you call customer service, they have their reps from OUTSOURCED trained to take your money and not help you! Please run from Factor!
I cancel this order five days before an order was supposed to be sent out to me and they are telling me I have no choice but to take this order. The agent refused to get a manager when I asked for one.
I have been using Factor for about 6 months, but I've had to skip the last couple of months due to financial strain caused by some emergency expenses for my pet. Unfortunately, I forgot to skip one week and called them 7 HOURS past the cutoff time. To my dismay, they refused to provide any assistance whatsoever. Their explanation for not being able to cancel my order made absolutely no sense; it seemed like they simply didn't want to help. Furthermore, their food is mediocre at best. I even inquired about the possibility of changing the selections, as they had picked the WORST ones, but they callously refused to accommodate this request as well.
I am utterly infuriated and deeply disappointed. I will never use their services again. The fact that a business couldn't overlook a mere $150, especially considering my status as a regular customer, is absolutely ludicrous. Their complete lack of helpfulness and unforgiving attitude is beyond comprehension. I am determined to ensure that everyone knows about my negative experience and urge them not to use Factor's services.
I've loved the meals, and my husband and I meal plan around the 20 meals we order a week. But! This is the 2nd time they have not delivered enough meals and will NOT re-deliver missing ones! The first time was 4. Inconvenient but doable. This time it was 10! HALF of our meals not delivered. They refunded, which is good. Whats not good? They will NOT re-deliver the missing meals. The customer service rep told me that it was because the ingredients for those particular meals weren't available. Oh? Sooooo, why did you not make me aware of that and allow me to choose different meals in their place? Instead, you just deliver HALF of the 250.00 a week order, and hope for the best? He tried to argue with me, how can they re-deliver meals that they don't have ingredients for? I said, that's not a customer problem. Factor is a meal delivery system! You're responsible for that part if it!
I suggested passing along to higher ups *since they wouldn't let me speak with them* that they have a substitution option in the app when you select your meals. IF this meal isn't available, THEN give me this one.
I'm going to give them one more chance. If this happens again, they will not have my business anymore. This is just bad form, and when he tried to deflect by saying they can't re-deliver because the system is set up for one delivery a week, that's it? Dude, you can't tell me there isn't someone up the chain who can't override the system when it was Factors mistake!
Answer: Nope there isn't a single positive thing that happened
Answer: I'm brain dead apparently and didn't realize it could be this horrible or that customer service would be horrendous
