First time buying glasses online.
The info on the website is a bit misleading. I purchased single vision glass lenses and it took 7 weeks, not 3 as stated on the website, to get them. To their credit, the last gentleman I spoke to got my frustration and upgraded the shipping to next day. (Everyone I dealt with was courteous. No complaints there.)
Bottom line; I am satisfied with everything. Very happy with the glasses. Now knowing what I know I would do it again.
2 recommendations; #1, to the customer, call and ask questions first. It helps get your expectations a bit more realistic.
#2, to the company, you might want to put a more realistic timeframe for glass lenses on the website.
Ordered prescription sunglasses. Took eyeglasses.com nearly 2 weeks to get the frames from Raybans. That would have been okay but there was no communication regarding the delay and no warning it would take this long prior to my placing order.
Eyeglasses came as ordered. On time. As agreed. A very positive experience that I would repeat again. Staff were courteous and helpful. I was little worried about ordering on line but the glasses are perfect and exactly what I had hoped for. My compliments to the folks at eyeglasses.com
This online store does carry a great selection or glasses. The customer service I received is not so great overall though. It's a long wait for frame to arrive from frame supplier as it's not in stock, much longer than what the rep suggested. And there's no automatic update, so you will need to chase after the reps in order to understand what's happening. If you're lucky, you will get one rep Rose who's keen to help you in instant chat. Other times, you don't get any reply in email or instant chat at all. 7 weeks past, I still haven't received my glasses, and I don't even know where the frame is
In the future, I will always choose to purchase online! We saved so much money -- more than $200 less than we would have paid at the eye doctor's office! My son is so happy with his designer glasses -- Thank you!
Maybe too many choices but everything well laid out. It took way to long to receive finished product but happy with them when finally arrived. I had no backups so was impaired for three weeks. Would have shopped elsewhere had I known how long process took. You should be upfront with that info.
Great selection and fair prices. I have no complaints with my shopping experience or delivery. Also received excellent customer service from Rose, who answered all of my questions when I asked about my order status through the website's Chat service.
Overall pleasant experience--easy to order, glasses are made to specific tolerances and arrive in a timely manner. I can't think of any negatives--if you need a new pair of glasses, eyeglasses.com has just about every frame you can buy, and the lenses are perfect every time; and all this at a price quite a bit lower than having them made locally. My go-to place for eyeglasses for both my wife and myself. I'm a satisfied repeat customer, and will continue shopping here.
I did not like the fact that I had to keep calling to find out more about my order, you took the money from my card straight away then told me 1 week later the glasses were not available and had been discontinued. Money should NEVER be taken until you know you can supply the goods you should just have a hold on my card. I was offered an alternative which I agreed to but still had to call twice to find out how much longer it would take as these were a birthday present for my husband. I will say that Rose mary was helpful.
Not at all satisfied with my expensive glasses. The lenses were not made correctly. Wearing them train my eyes and give me a splitting headache. Customer service is non-existence. Submitted complaint and question, no response whatsoever.
Will not be doing business with eyeglasses.com, EVER.
I have an exceptionally tiny face/eye distance + need for progressives; no matter what, its not fun buying glasses. Eyeglasses.com has, by far, the largest selection available, which is nice for a change. So I was able to get something I am happy with at a decent price. I am very pleased with how quickly the pairs I rejected were returned and processed, and really appreciated the email I received telling me they had arrived. And my credit card was credited very quickly. Overall, I am really happy with my first experience buying frames online. I would have purchased the lenses as well, but with progressive lenses I just did not want to take the chance.
The order took a little over 3 weeks, from the time I gave my glasses to UPS until I received them back. This is fine, but I was under the impression from the web site that it would be much sooner. I think better tracking while in transit and being worked on would have made the wait more acceptable.
Eyeglasses.com is my preferred frame supplier and I have been a loyal customer since 2012. I appreciate their low prices, free shipping and I like the convenience of returning them, if there is any problem to their brick & mortar store in Hartford, CT.
Good. I bought the second cheapest lenses, but perhaps should have gotten a higher grade for greater clarity. Not sure if the problem is the new prescription or the lens material really. Reading glasses frames, wire, jingle a little. Distance frames are just fine.
Fairly easy. Suggest you add note on lens selection page to indicate prices are for a pair, not each. Received glasses on schedule. Not satisfied with lenses. Working with cust service about this matter.
Nice selection and my glasses are very high quality, but mobile site is really touchy. Recommend using desktop site on a computer to avoid issues as I had to contact customer service to resolve an order issue; they took care of things right away and I am very happy with my order. I would order again since the quality is so much better than other online eyeglasses sites.
Caused a processing delay due to not following clear instructions initially. Contacted customer service for assistance and they were quick and courteous in helping me complete needed details. Love the glasses and the online purchasing process which is so much better and easier than visiting a local optical store which for us is about a 45 mile drive. Thanks.
Once I figured out order to place order it was a breeze, like selection.
Was told I could not get glass bifocal sunglasses. I have very active six year old daughter who "cleans" my glasses and also jumps in my lap a lot. She has ruined four pairs of plastic "glasses" so I do not use anything but glass.
My first time purchasing glasses on-line. Selection & prices are very appealing. Frames I selected were out of stock, took a little while before my order was updated to different frames. (But...they gave me a discount & upgraded my shipping) However, the lenses came out wrong, & are useless. So...I will either return them for a refund, or try their free 're-do' of the lenses. It's very convenient, but not the same as going to a physical location for eyeglasses, which hasn't been possible lately, and that's why I gave eyeglasses.com a try. But all in all, not a bad experience, & it's a convenient option.
Answer: If you have a significant correction like me their quality is poor! Go somewhere you can trust will have quality control and customer service to help if your lenses don't actually correct your vision.
