I placed an order with Eyeglasses.com in March 2018 for a pair of Savile Row, Orford 18Kt, Skull Temples frames. Since then, I have been given the run around and have heard almost every story there is. It's now the middle of August 2018 and I was told the frames were shipping to me last Monday. I called their Customer Service and the guy I talked to had no idea where my order is. I could have ordered the frames from a seller in England and had them months ago. I am NOT pleased with Eyeglasses.com and IF I ever do get my frames, I will NEVER order from them again!
I ordered replacement lenses with minor prescription for my sunglasses on the company's website. Price was quoted and agreed on. Once my frame arrived to their store, I got an email saying that the price for the lenses will be $40 dollars more because they had to drill holes in them (drill mounting fee) - standard practice I would imagine. Felt like bait and switch. Tried to contact Eyeglasses.com by leaving voice messages, sending emails and going on their chat. I never received a response from them no matter what method of communication I used. I got the sunglasses back, with the lenses installed. I guess they did an ok job, but the whole experience doesn't make me feel like using their services again.
Additional note - I've been wearing the sunglasses with lenses made by Eyeglasses.com for the last few weeks. I can tell you that they are as clear as they come, but they do not block the sunlight as well as my other sunglasses. The reason for that most likely is that Eyeglasses.com put an anti-reflective coating on both sides of the lenses. It helps with clear vision, but works against blocking the sunlight. In fact it makes it worst. By definition, on sunglasses A/R coating is only applied to the backside of the lenses to eliminate any reflection from behind or a mirror image from the eye. I guess it was too much bother to make that distinction for Eyeglasses.com.
Ordered Sunglasses July 30th 2020. It is now August 13th 2020 and I have heard nothing. My emails are not responded to and I have tried many times. Left message on their voice mail and no one will answer their phone. Will NOT be buying from this company again. Would give it minus stars if possible. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
My lenses are wrong I was told to send them back for a 50 percent refund, so I totally wasted my time and money for worthless lenses, get your glasses through an optometrist if you want them right
Got progressives done in frames I already owned. Way cheaper than anywhere else and I received quality lenses. Very happy with this purchase.
I love my glasses from eyeglasses.com so much that I ordered a second pair and they still had them for the same price, 3 years later!
Overall, it's been a good experience; however, there is a bit of peeling taking place on both arms of the glasses. I purchased some arm sleeves to help with the problem.
I recieved my order but returned it last week as unsatisfactory. I am waiting to get the situation resolved. Bifocal lenses were too high.
Beware of your frames aren't "in stock", you may be waiting 3+ weeks for them to even ship! I'm still waiting!
I have another pair identical from another supplier and a comparison show your lens are thicker than your competitor everything else was great
I placed an order on June 22,2020 and it's been more than a month and I still have not received my order. Customer service is another issue. It is so difficult to get a hold of someone from customer service. And when I was finally able to talk to someone I was told that my order will arrive at a certain time. Of course it didn't arrive and I never received any update in regards to my order. So I had to call again and go through the lengthy and torturous experience of trying to speak to someone. And when I was able to finally get a hold of someone I was told that they have no idea when I will receive my order. Of course they offered a refund but that doesn't even equate to the wasted time that I had to endure and the horrendous customer service that I experienced. Save yourself the agony and do not purchase anything from this company. I know they have positive reviews from their website and I'm wondering about the validity of those reviews. One of the worst company I've ever encountered. I would give a negative number as a rating if it was an option.
Decided to order glasses from this website because they had the highest rating for lens quality. Frames were ok but lenses had an oily film. I have tried soap and water, glass cleaners - nothing helped. I had to send the glasses back. I HAD TO PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING AND THEY GAVE ME REFUND ON THE FRAMES ONLY AND NOT LENSES THAT THEY HAD SCREWED UP. I am not sure if they are using bots to give themselves great reviews, but this company is awful from start to finish - low quality product, you pay to ship the product back and they do not give you your money back.
Ordered progressive high index lenses (I require huge correction) August 2023 giving all details necessary.
Got new lenses end of August, wore for a couple weeks noticing the necessary the distance correction was poor. Thought okay give it some time, drop in local frame shops checking fit, all aspects of fit are fine. Finally called several times never reaching a person, left ph no. & mssg needing to either check Rx or re-do lenses. Left 3,4 mssgs. Got an e-mail saying rec'd mssg, but no plan! It is an inconvenience to start w/ Im ordering lenses bc old pair Im wearing are broken& taped up. So again to be w/out glasses that aren't broken is s pain. NEVER ONCE GET A MESSAGE BACK OR A CALL OR INSTRUCTIONS. THEY'VE BEEN PAID. DONE! Poor poor quality & customer svc.
EYEGLASSES.COM is absolutely useless! They lie to get your order, then lie about the status of your order, then lie about you sending e mails, then lie about your refund status. Only when you threaten with law enforcement action they miraculously within 1 hour of the third 45 min hold on the phone refunded my purchase in full. If there was a minus rating it still wouldnt be low enough for this merchant! Very lucky to get my money back for sure!

Excellent customer service and I love my new glasses which replaced my favorite list pair of same designer, style and color.
With the selection of more unique hard to find frames, and the fast and easy process to purchase, I was completely happy with this purchase as ones in the past!
To be honest, I was very wary of using Eyeglasses.com after the 2 star reviews on Google; I wasn't sure if I would receive the same service as I did with my 2020 order. Today, I have received my glasses and I love them; the only process that should be reinstated is using live CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS.
No one wants to leave a message in voicemail box; the consumer is entitled to speak with to a LIVE HUMAN on the phone.
I hope Eyeglasses.com will reconsider the automated system and bring back live customer service.
Answer: If you have a significant correction like me their quality is poor! Go somewhere you can trust will have quality control and customer service to help if your lenses don't actually correct your vision.
