Attempted to use the live operator to place my order but there was a conflict with my prescription and the order taker promised to hold my order, but I went to the website I found that she did not retain my information as she promised. In addition, the site was more confusing than the last time I used it a year ago. Also, there has a been a steep increase in prices and I am anxious to receive my glasses to see if their value will increase as have the price points.
It was painful to complete order, entered 8 items was told 6 is the max so I had to split it and lost the coupon for 25% off and free shipping sad

The price of the glasses and then forcing to choose specific options was very limiting. The price of these glasses was pretty much the same as what we would have paid at the eye doctor (AFTER we applied a discount from another site!). I do not recommend ordering from EyeBuyDirect. This is not the first time I have been disappointed from ordering glasses via this site but will most likely be the last time I will place an order. Ridiculous.

Had major problems ordering their BOGO sale, the site kept crashing (probably because BOGO + free shipping sounded awesome). I got all the way to the purchase page (getting through about 11:30PM after trying all day) and realized the sale only included frames. The lenses are what make my order expensive, and made all the hassle of getting spending all day getting bumped and refreshing my screen attempting to place the order extra frustrating. In the end, I ditched the BOGO sale and still ordered reasonably priced glasses, but only one pair - and two days later. Not the end of the world, but not what I expected.
I have a lot of glasses from EBD and they have all worked well for me, but ordering this time has taken me 5 days of live chats and it still didn't work correctly. Over the weekend the website kept going down, but every time I tried to use credits, it would remove them or my payment method or the shipping and made it impossible to check out. They do have good customer service so they ended up giving me a partial refund for the credits I wasn't able to apply, but something should be done to fix the system. I look forward to getting my glasses though!
Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
