EyeBuyDirect.com sells prescription eyeglasses and frames, as well as sunglasses.
The company has garnered a solid reputation for providing affordable, quality eyewear, with many customers praising the extensive selection and effective virtual try-on feature. Satisfaction with product quality is prevalent, particularly for prescription glasses, which are often noted as a cost-effective alternative to traditional retailers. However, concerns regarding slow shipping times and excessive communication, particularly following orders, have been highlighted as significant drawbacks. While most customers express overall satisfaction, the inconsistency in delivery and customer service experiences indicates room for improvement in operational efficiency and support responsiveness.

Last time you sent the wrong prescription. Hope it goes better this time
Not sure yet till my glasses arrive but so far
Very easy right on the money on scripts. Web sight very users friendly.
EyeBuyDirect have multiple options such as optional features that can be added to the glasses. Website is easy to use as well as tracking my delivery. Customer service was helpful and professional in making changes to my orders without any complications.
Mediocre products at mediocre price. Fair quality. I've ordered from EyeBuyDirect a few times but don't anticipate doing so again. Just seems the relative value of EyeBuyDirect vs. other options was better a few years ago. The "inexpensive" options amount to a bait-and-switch... anything and everything a typical consumer might need/want costs extra, extra, extra.
I found using the chat feature to be more helpful than talking on the phone.
I am new to progressive lenses, and it seems like that feature, even with Premium Progressives, should be fine tuned somehow.
The Premium Progressive lenses feel more like regular Progressive (based on EBD website comparison), but I have not tried regular Progressives so I cannot compare.
I appreciate being able to send them back if they do not work out.
I'm really happy with the frames, and I can see so great through these lenses. I was nervous about ordering frames and lenses online, but I am SUPER happy!
Love my new glasses. I love the variety and the price. Best Customer service.
Very easy to use sight. Love that all my prescriptions are saved. Great selection
I get about 3-4 new eyeglasses a year. One for every outfit
What a great transaction! They were in my hands soon after they were ordered. I was notified every step of the way knowing exactly when to expect my new glasses. I will order from EyeDirect again.
I love my glasses and I love that I can get them at a price that is more reasonable than purchasing them at my eye doctor's office. It gives me the freedom to have multiple pairs and mix up my look!
Got an email advertising a good price on Furox Navy progressive eyeglasses with transition lenses. With a Capitol One discount a really good price turned into a great price. The glasses took a little longer to arrive than I expected but I am very happy with the glasses and the frames. Especially like that lenses add no chromatic aberration.
Could not enter prescription just for readers. My glasses are too strong with the visual as well as reading prescription so I cannot use the glasses except for the sunglasses because they have no prescription. You should have a reader only option.
I had some trouble with the program and ordered 3 pairs by mistake. Customer service was great and fixed the error, but then I had several fraudulent charges on my card and had to cancel it. I know that the fraud is from this transaction because I don't use the card much. The glasses are okay, but I probably wouldn't have chosen them if I tried them on in a store. I thought the frames would be larger.
I would recommend eye buy direct for someone living in an area without retail stores. There are plenty of choices, but it's better to try on in person.
Love the Glasses the price and delivery was super fast! I'm very satisfied.
Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
