Come on express! How can you sell expensive clothes and have such a cheap website. Using it is very frustrating and really wants me to give up and shop somewhere else.
Website has constant server issues and is unable to shop. I haven't shopped here in a year because quality is terrible and they have the strangest combination of designs. Im done.
Still haven't gotten my jacket I ordered 10 days ago. They just sent me a tracking # but it says ready to leave on Saturday so it hasn't even left yet and if you add the actual travel time of my item I won't get it till next Friday if I'm lucky. I bought it for the weather we just had this past 2 weeks not the freezing cold that's coming now so probably not even gonna be able to wear it by then since this is a thin jacket. Very pissed off actually. I shop often online and never had this problem with other stores.And if there's an issue they let me know right away, but Express hasn't send me anything after I made my purchase. I had to keep calling them asking what was the story till finally today the lady told me it has finally been shipped and will arrive on Saturday which she was wrong because it's actually ready to be shipped on Saturday and no, im not getting it on Saturday. 1st and last time ordering from them! Not a happy customer and reading the rest of the reviews now I know I'm not alone. Worst shopping experience online, never again!
I placed an order 3 hours ago, and when I checked my bank account the charge was almost DOUBLE! I called customer service right away and after an hour of listening to this girl claim she had no idea why that would happen, she finally said that there was nothing they could do anyways because the order has been processed already... which is definitely not possible for orders to be processed in 3 hours during the busiest time on black friday. This company is full of $#*!. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM ITS A TRICK.
As I have shopped in store many times, I decided to give their online ordering a shot. First of all let me say that I think the quality and value of their clothes is good and fair. However, as a Canadian, I learned a valuable lesson. First, upon receiving a sale email saying things were up to 70% off, I ordered several items. What the checkout total did NOT convey was that the prices were in US dollars. Long story short - I didn't really save a ton. With shipping and dollar conversion, it was the same as going in store with no sale. After contacting them with this information, they didn't seem to care at all and said, "yes, the prices are US"... that's it. Second, since one of the items was the wrong size, I learned that I can only return through mail (not in store) and to the US and the processing time is horrendous. Stores here will not deal with ANYTHING bought online. To me, this business model for customer service is unlike anyone else I deal with and one can say that it's kind of archaic. I will never be ordering online from them again. I sincerely hope that one day, Express gets their act together and begins to treat their customers whether their online or in-store, the same! If people have a good experience, they'll come back and spend more money!
So let's review. Checked out a cart full of items, took almost a week for them to decide not to fulfill two items (poor inventory control?), was promised I would not be charged, was charged anyways and no refunds were processed, customer service was rude and unapologetic, and then instead of processing a refund for items they never sent me but charged me for anyways, told me to go dispute the charge on my credit card with my bank. Basically they made no attempt to recognize or fix their own error. Maybe because they're profiting from it.
Also the quality of their clothes are terrible. I had one previous order from them where two shirts had holes in them after the first wash and another shirt had a ruined collar after the first wash.
Express.com will never get another penny out of me, and I will make sure as many people as possible know how dishonest of a company Express is. I guess they're trying to make up for the failed Canadian business venture by stealing money from their customers instead.
Everything that I have ever purchased from express has been very cheaply made and not lasted more than 2-3 wears. I do not recommend this product at all.
I could go on for at least 30 minutes. Summarizing why NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON EXPRESS CLOTHING... but I value my time and getting the word out there will suffice. Here is a break down why to take your business elsewhere.
-The quality is worse than Walmart and Goodwill. Actually, it doesn't even compare.
***THREE clothing items that had to be returned from ONE order!
Because of this, I had to reorder and be double charged while waiting to get things straightened out.
In the mean time. Its been TWO WEEKS and the money has not been returned to my debit card.
Between phone calls, emails, and store visits, not to mention stress... AT LEAST a DAY OF MY LIFE. Seriously at least 24 hours I will never get back from this experience.
I didn't get my work clothes for a new job in time and I will NEVER EVER EVER buy from these poor clothing quality people again.

I haven't been a fan of Express until a little more than a year ago. I have made over a dozen of orders since then and they only botched my order once and it was in late December. I don't know what was going on but there seems to be a lot of complaints posted during that time frame. I've made two more orders since then and I received everything as I ordered. I buy all items with a either a coupon code or at a sale price. The coupons or sale seem to be an ongoing thing. With the price I pay, I really can't complain about the quality. It is still better than some cheaper brands. I usually get loads do compliments on the way I dress, and once people start shopping at Express they seem to get hooked. I suggest trying on a few items before you complain about the brand. Many of their clothes look better on and flatter your figure. I LOVE, LOVE Express for the way their clothes make me look. Please don't shut them down with your vicious reviews! Also the whole point with the sheer and plunge shirts is to LAYER! It makes one look hip and adds interest to your style.
I placed an order online, can't get anyone to help me get a return label. Can'y evern get it online. They make it hard on purpose to make returns, sad company. I will NEVER bu ytyour products again. Too many other grat companies that will honor their return poliucy.

I bought a sweater online. Returned it to one of the store locations and they never credited my account. I have been battling to get my $29.95 back for 4 months. Never shopping at Express ever again.

I wanted to return something I bought online at the Queens Center Mall Express store but it was a horrible experience. They wouldn't return it even though it was unworn and the staff as well as the manager were rude. Even the receipt I received from the shipment was typed wrong. It said the vest was navy blue when it clearly wasn't (and I had no idea it was wrong when I showed them at the store) and they wouldn't accept it even though they were at fault. Really terrible. I wish they were more professional.
Do not purchase anything on line no store will accept a refund.pants I purchased are too big and the stores I'll not accept them since it as a subcontractor of express
I live in Canada. This company is boasting same price in US and Canada, and the price in Canada local store is the same as on their website (which means for example the same shirt is priced CAD 59.99 in store and USD 59.99 online). I made an online purchase thinking the price is in CAD and I even used a coupon ($25 off $75 Purchase). It was only until I received my credit card statement that I realized I was charged USD instead of CAD. Considering the current low CAD and the huge exchange fee, I was actually charged 30% more. I contacted their customer service and they kept saying their website price is USD. This is ridiculous, which idiot in Canada (perhaps except me) would make a purchase on their website, paying USD when actually the price in local store is much cheaper. This is a ridiculous compancy.
Don't order anything on this website! I placed an order and they charged me $40 more than the amount on the receipt. I only noticed after I received my credit card statement. I called and emailed them and they gave me some weird story of how when an order is placed they put more money on hold in the account than the total. It made no sense but they assured me that my money would be in my credit card within a few days. I went on vacation after that and assumed (my mistake) that they would do as they promised. I recently checked, 4 months after speaking to them, and the money still hasn't been returned to my account. So my advice would be to not shop on this website. If you do, then I would strongly advice you to check your statement afterwards. And if there is some wrongdoing, to immediately notify your financial institution instead of wasting your time talking to the service representatives. Plus shipping took forever. Overall extremely bad experience. I wish I could give them 0 stars.
I ordered a pair of jeggings. Cost me $90 instead of $40 due to all their hidden fees. They arrived. Were not worth $10. Returned got $60 back
Oh yeah it cost my $20 to ship back out of my pocket, they charge me a $7 return ship fee.

I'm working on the logistics for a site where screenshots of orders can post. A few months back I went though my email to find 17 canceled orders. It's been a couple of years but that was still a fairly shocking number when most stores I shop rarely, if ever, have cancelled an order. I continued to shop and now I am at 29 canceled orders. My husband and son also have accounts. It seems that when rewards are involved or coupons are used in conjunction with sales, items are canceled. Which is not the fault of the customer if they are legally using rewards or coupons, within the confines of the law. There is no rhyme or reason. Many purchases are completely canceled or they pick and choose, meaning, you could end up paying $8.00 shipping on a lipgloss, because other items were deleted from the purchase. This is unlawful as its stealing from consumers. Do NOT contact customer service. Their Customer Service is the first I've experienced where, as others have complained, they will steal your rewards and berate you. You'll get numerous answers that contradict each other in the same email thread. I'm curious if anyone else would be interested in a website like this. I can't afford to waste hours of time putting together matching pieces, suits for my husband, or school clothes for my teen, only to have boys and pieces of the purchase canceled. Something doesn't feel right about such an archaic structure.
