'NOT OUR PROBLEM' stance
Items worth over £400 and lost by the delivery company.
Told me to contact the supplier rather than provide any adequate explanation as to why or how the parcel was lost.
Courier stole my parcel. Non existent help desk. Cowboys! Not the first time but certainly the last!
Stole my parcel and their communication is poor no number to reach out and the BS run around taking peoples things is just crazy
I have had my house renovated recently, and have been buying things from wayfair, dunelm and the Frame company. None of the deliveries arrived at all, I had to call the sellers to chase up my orders (time comsuming process with customer services on multiple occasions, beijg asked to wait longer and longer), leading to delays of up to or more than 3 weeks when I had paid for a 3 -5 day delivery. Wayfair resent my order via UPS which arrived the following day and the frame company sent out my products once again via Parcel Force. Dunelm sent the order twice using evri the second order was due to the failure of delivery the first time round. The second delivery was a next day delivery and nothing arrived for over 10 days after which I called Dunelm and just cancelled my order. I did go todunelm to buy my products as I loved them, and then after 3 weeks one of the parcels finally arrived. Now I have 2 quantities of my order, which I really don't need. I have just putchased products from ghd and received a email from evri this morning stating that they will be delivering my parcel and now i am anxious and upset as i doubt i will recive them in time, and will have to spend my time chasing up ghd customer service to sort my order which will inevitably be time consuming. Online shopping used to be easy, now it's just a pain especially as the shopping sites I am using are reputable businesses.
Do NOT have any packages delivered by Evri (the rebranded Hermes). Using them is 'penny wise, pound foolish' - use another courier instead.
Hermes had issues, but since changing to Evri, it's become even worse. Their couriers are, I suspect, mistreated by Evri - that's the only way such a large range of people can be so bad at their job (mass demotivation).
Their delivery agents then vent their frustrations on their customers by doing stuff like interfering with the deliveries, saying they came when they did not, leaving your package on the ground outside an apartment building (despite you being in), instead of ringing the bell and giving it to you - I'm serious! I've had this experience several times in the Wembley area: I've been out all day, returned to the flat and found a package containing my purchases on the ground in the communal walkway serving 12 flats, each which have people visiting). On other occasions, there've been multiple people in, each listening for the bell; Evri doesn't ring, then says they've come and found no one home, striking up a missed delivery. Evri show no commitment to organising the safe delivery of your wares.
Then when you try to contact them to co-ordinate delivery with the courier, their A. I. phone operator system only confirms what you know (hence you contacting them), without giving any option of speaking to a human customer services professional who actually might be able to help. So clearly, they view you, their customers with contempt, too.
All in all, this courier will ruin any purchasing or commercial experience you have. Do not use them!
Me? I've started using Royal Mail. They're more expensive but every customer is happy (with smooth deliveries occurring as they should) and I am happy too because my purchases are delivered to hand, at the door, instead of being left outside the building or finding their way into someone else's pocket.
The same Hermes courier who delivered my parcel to my dustbin (and sent it to landfill) among many other horror stories, has just turned up at my house under the name of Evri.
Incredibly sneaky re-brand from Hermes. I purposefully never order from big companies or anyone who uses Hermes (most people I know also avoid them like the plague) because of their awful treatment of people's possessions and parcels. I don't believe it's always the couriers fault, but the fact they are treated appallingly by this company. Their customer service is appalling. When they lose your parcel, if you're lucky enough to get past the robot system, you won't get an apology and you certainly won't get compensation. They have a list a mile long of items exempt from compensation. Even if it's obviously the couriers fault.
All I can say is, I would never trust this company. I was even told by a Hermes (NOW EVRI) driver never to use fragile tape on an item as this was a fun challenge to drivers to make sure the item arrived broken. They are often based out of storage units and items frequently get 'lost' inside these small units and are found for sale on ebay. Procedes no doubt go to Hermes/ Evri. Unless this company have also completely changed their management, working conditions for couriers and customer service, I would advice using any courier but them. Royal Mail might not be the cheapest, but I would rather pay more for a parcel that actually arrives. It is not worth the hassle with Hermes! Especially as most firms make it a logistical nightmare to get a 'courier refund' when you can't prove that your parcel wasn't actually delivered to a 'safe' place. You can see my parcel here, hidden at the bottom of our bin. No delivery note left, no idea the parcel was there until I asked the company to trace it. By the time I got hold of this photo, said parcel had been taken to landfill!
Evri is clearly disorganised and does not even know what its own drivers are doing. I have proof of everything I am saying here. I was informed by them, that my parcel was due to be delivered on Tue. 26th July, between 2 and 4pm. A little later, I was told it was "re-scheduled", to be delivered between 12:30 and 2:30pm. Later still, I was told it would be delivered between 6 & 8pm! It eventually turned up at 6:45pm, and I received an email (with a photo) confirming it had been delivered. But, the best part is this; today (Wed. 27th July, the day after it was actually delivered!) at 7:08am, Evri emailed me, to say the parcel would be delayed, saying "Don't worry, we will send you a message on Thursday 28 July 2022 regarding your delivery." When I clicked on the tracking button in that message (at 11:45am Wed. 27 July, the time of writing), I was informed "Update on your parcel
We're sorry we're not able to deliver your parcel today, but we will deliver it on the next working day." Therefore, evri is clearly a shambles, and this is solid proof of their incompetence. I would advise that, if you have the option, AVOID this outfit at all costs, and use another courier with a better track record. As I mentioned, EVERYTHING I have said here can be backed up with evidence, in the form of their own emails to me. This organisation is a joke, and clearly cannot be trusted with your deliveries.

This is my first time ever reviewing something online but there constant disregard for the customer, the lies, cheating and deceit and the lack of customer support is diabolical and i couldn't help myself but want to warn others

The customer support representative i spoke to on the phone said he can see from the drivers tracker he was no where near my property and it was a mistake and it is going out for delivery today

Last times they just apologised for loosing my parcel and said they will look for it and never heard back

No wonder they needed to change their name from hermes they just keep making mistakes at the expense of others and do not care who looses out or what issues they cause
Said I got my package shoes a picture of my door with nothing on it, I've still to receive a reply from them
I agree with all of the reviews, you rarely receive the things, they shouldn't be allowed to operate
I want Brian Trower to read this message, Evri was ment to deliver my parcel on Friday 1st of July, a very important parcel, I tracked it alday on you app, then I get a message saying your parcel was delivered, it wasn't, no one came down my road at that time, I know this because I was waiting. Guess what, I tried to call, the automated robot asks for my tracking number, then says your parcel was delivered, and hangs up the phone, your online chat same thing! So my parcel was delivered right? Yesterday I get a message for Evri saying 'sorry buy your parcel was damaged beyond repair' and I should contact the sender to arrange a replacement, why should I have to chase this? So I have used yoir service twice ( not out of choice) and both times my delivery did not turn up, this is when yoi was Hermes, that time it took 3 weeks for the vender to refund me ( over 300 pounds) which where Christmas presents. 2 times I expected parcels from your company 2 time non delivery, changing your name does not improve the service, it just shows how awful the service is that you had to change the name, I never have an issue with any other delivery company, they are more expensive but you get quality service. Your company just lie,.
Automated communication system is useless, website is useless, the only new bit is the name the rest is rubbish as usual

Useless. Parcel still not delivered after waiting for 14 days. I'll never purchase from any retailer who uses Evri again. They are a joke.

Avoid using Evri at all costs! On 20th August I paid to have a small parcel sent from UK to Cyprus for repair. This was collected by a seemingly clueless driver who could not tell me anything about when it would be delivered and did not arrive with plastic envelopes to attach the custom forms, as other couriers usually do.
Weeks passed and I heard nothing about the progress of this parcel. The tracking info online only showed that the parcel had been collected. As the weeks went by, no further info was added.
I searched and searched for a way to contact Evri but could not find any phone number, nor email that I cold use to contact them. The only emails displayed were non-reply emails, and the online chat option would not accept an international tracking number. It seems tha Evri do not wish to have any contact with their customers!
In early September I launched an enquiry online and was notified - by an auto email, that a search would be made to locate my parcel, and that I would be notified by 30th September. By October I still had heard nothing. When logging on to my enquiry online, I saw that nothing has been found and that I am being asked to provide proof of collection, non-delivery, cost etc. Surely Evri already has proof of having collected the parcel?!
The parcel contained a medical device, upon which I rely for health reasons, and so I am desperate to have this delivered to the address to be repaired, so that I can have it back to use.
I am shocked and appalled at how dreadful the service has been and extremely angry that customer service / care is non-existent and that speaking to someone in person is not an option! Do not use this company! I am now at a loss about what to do to retrieve my pricey medical device and am distraught that it is most likely now completely lost.
Answer: Never had a good experience of this company, so sorry I can't. Its all negative stories I've got just now.
Answer: Nothing would induce me to use Evri for anything. Their quality of service is incredibly poor and needs to be dramatically improved before I would even begin to consider using them.
