I've had my eye on a pair of Everlane shoes for awhile. Now that I try to place an order for them (after having numerous Everlane ads targeted in my direction), it seems the Everlane cannot process the order! Not through PayPal or through my Visa Card. Each time I attempt to order, I get a message that Everlane is unable to process the order and to try another payment method. Each time I try a different payment method, I get the same Everlane system response. I emailed Everlane but I guess it takes a few days before you can expect a response. There's not a Customer Service Phone for them. I guess our relationship is over before it ever even started. Neverlane!

So frustrated with Everlane. This is my second time ordering from them and I can't get over how long it takes to a) receive the order and b) exchange for another size. For a store who barely has any actual storefronts, they should make the exchange process much simpler.
The first time I ordered the item didn't fit so opted to get store credit since I wanted a different size, rather than returning it and having to pay the $6 fee.
But, instead of letting me apply my credit immediately, I have to wait two weeks for it to appear on my profile. Well I did that, ordered two more things and again, the sizing is off so in order to get the correct size I have to wait another two weeks to get credit for the return. I'll call tomorrow and hope customer service will expedite the exchange but come on, it's 2020. Many online retailers will gladly send out the new size before receiving the exchange.

I haven't even received my items yet, but I spent over $1,000 at Everlane and none of it has arrived yet after placing my order OVER two weeks ago. This is 2019, not 2009. Customers except order to arrive within a week of placing an order now, and almost every other big retailed guarantees this. Waiting more than two weeks for an order is just crazy. Can't imagine how long the whole process will take if I have to return anything.

Disappointed again :(
August 18, 2019

I wore a new Henley tee for 7 hours. This is what it looked like when I took it off. I've had more holes appear in their tees than any others I've ever had. Now I know it isn't my washing machine or dryer. Too bad because they have some cute clothes and the staff is lovely. Unfortunately, everything is going back. No more Everlane for me.

The shoes are stiff and I cannot break them in. I reached out to the company and was told that I cannot return them because of strict policies. Sounds great, huh? I was also advised to consign them if I did not like them. Really? I wouldn't wish them on anyone.
I do not recommend their leather loafer, they are not sized correctly and the sole is hard and kills your feet.

I have loved everything I have purchased so far: 2 pairs of work pants, 2 jeans, 1 jean jacket, 1 cashmere sweater, 1 silk shirt, 1 tote bag. The quality is great! You do have to look at the user reviews for each product to see how it would fit, though. I bought a size 8 in one pair of jeans and they fit nicely. I bought an 8 in the other and I couldn't even start zippering them. The return process isn't easy, but I think they've tried to make it easier. But overall, I love their business model and the timeless pieces I have gotten from them.

One thing I am confused about is the reviews on their own site. I want to write reviews, but I have no idea how. I purchased my first few items a few months ago, so I would've expected to get an email by now inviting me to write a review.

Hope they open a location in Chicago, because it would be nice to try items on before purchasing.

Ordered a black jumpsuit that was pictured with a belt. It arrived with all of the belt loops and NO belt. When I emailed to request that they mail me a replacement belt, they offered me a $20.00 site credit instead. I turned it down since I will never shop with them again.

The heavy weight T shirt arrived with poor dye job on the front. In order to return the item, I had to email the company and request for an RMA. Then one of the staff requested me to take a photo of the defect and email it to them before they would provide a shipping label which will deduct $6 from my refund. Absolutely one of the worst shopping experiences. No wonder Amazon is winning. Never do business with them again.

Difficult
June 28, 2019

Nightmare, basically Everyone becomes unavailable after they have your money. I got a jean jacket and wanted to return, They charge for returns... mine was $6. And, I tried to go to a store in SF to exchange for another size, guess what... They don't speak on the phone. So can't find out if they have the item. Screw Everlane.

Poor quality shoes. Extremely uncomfortable and it gave me blisters the first day of wearing it to work. For $150 dollars you would expect more. The Day Heel shoes are just plain painful to wear. I will never buy from a website that gives itself raving reviews again... it's just plain dishonest.

They ship to Europe but do not offer free returns for customers in Europe. This is not mentioned when starting the return process on their website, only in the fine print of their terms and conditions. So be careful when ordering from outside the US. This is extremely bad customer service. I will not order there again.

I purchased two white t's and a pair of boyfriend denims. First, the material on the T's is practically see-through. I purchased a small and a medium just to be sure. After washing the small would fit only a child and the medium barely fits me (5'3 - 115 lbs). Never again. Also purchased the boyfriend jeans - they're "funky" is the only way to describe them. Don't fit well at all and now I find out I have to pay a restocking fee! I would NEVER purchase from Everlane again and would NEVER recommend anyway to buy from them.

The return policy is terrible. They tell you easy returns and they tell you your first returns are free but then you are not only stuck paying return postage but they charge you a 6$ per item restocking fee. The site is misleading. Don't buy unless your are sure your stuff will fit or you will out a lot of money. No ethics here.

I purchased two pair of their "Day Heels" believing they were as comfortable as they claimed. This was not a small expenditure. The shoe was beautiful but the fit was awful. Everything on the shoe felt fine except where the ball of your foot sits. By the end of the day after wearing a pair I had to resort to an extra pair of shoes I just happen to have at work. After contacting customer service via email I was told since I wore one pair (to/from work - too painful to wear home) they could not except them back. I could obtain a credit for the pair I wore just to and from my car. The fact that they don't have a customer service phone numbers also concerns me.

I brought this pink cashmere but I got a pink t-$#*! with that pink cashmere tag on it! Which is very funny? I contacted their customer service and they told me to ship that t-shirt back and they returned a token to me, not cash. So, I went to the post the next day and shipped back the stupid t-shirt, where they asked me to buy a tap to better wrap the box.

I've purchased from everlane for about a year now. I own a range of things from a wool cocoon coat, trench coat, cashmere, 8 pairs of denim, Day Heels, v heels, boss boot, two silk shirts, and a couple tees (all purchased by me, except the Cocoon Coat which was gifted). I lightly promoted them as an influencer in exchange for $250 worth of product, with no pressure to leave anything but my own opinion.

I've noticed that there are quite a few negative reviews here but in general, I would take them with a grain of salt.

Everlane is a clothing retailer, and one retailer can't make every product flattering to every body type, comfortable for every foot, etc. As with any retailer, figuring out your sizing for the brand is necessary, as not all brands size the same. Example in normal shoes I'm a 9.5, but in Everlane and Italian and French brands I'm a 10.5. Once that is settled, there are far less negative reviews.

My personal experience with everlane has been great. I've returned about 1/3 of my orders over the years, like any other retailer. I use their Happy Returns' option, which is Awesome! My money shows up in my account quickly, and I've never had issues.

The quality ranges from good to great. The pieces I have kept are forever pieces, and the denim is the ONLY rigid denim that fits my body type perfectly and wears really well with constant use. Their shoes have been really lovely quality as well. T shirts, because they are thinner fabric and much cheaper tend to reflect that in quality. I have had to mend one of my t shirts as it did get a hole after about a year but for $18, I'm satisfied with that timeline.

Overall, I really love what everlane is doing for ethical fashion. I found the website user experience and the return process to be really simple, and I am overall pretty satisfied with the pieces I own.

This is a 3 month old shoe that was wrapped in cloth and kept in a box and hardly worn because the weather was still a bit cold. Their customer service told me to have it repaired.

I purchased 3 pairs of shoes I saw advertised on a blog. I've worn the same size shoe all my adult life and the size never fails to fit, so I felt comfortable order three pairs of the same shoe in 3 different colors. I paid $25. Extra to get them quickly so I could take them on a trip to Europe. They fit like an 8. This is a simple, slip on shoe. There's no valid explanation for a size difference that great. Sure, I can get a refund--minus their $6. Restocking fee (per item) and minus the $25. For the fast shipping. That's nearly the price of a pair of shoes. Very disappointing! I will never order from Everlane again.

BE WARNED! Not only is this brand incredibly expensive, but you can't just easily make a return. You have to email them, wait for a reply (do I need approval? What's the point here?), then they ask for your address to send you a shipping label, then you have to wait for THAT reply, THEN you can finally ship things back. What's up Everlane, are you hoping people will just give up? This is a very bad practice if you ask me because:

1) If people do give up, they'll be left with a bad customer experience of the whole thing. They'll think "It was so annoying to even try to return anything that I'm left having paid for expensive shoes I don't even wear now."

2) I'm as stubborn as they come, and if someone DOES go through the WHOLE process in order to return, they'll be left with a bad taste in their mouth as well. Why couldn't be made quick & easy? Like EVERY OTHER RETAILER OUT THERE? Log in, print label, boom! Done. No. Instead they'll remember they had to jump through hoops for a simple return.

3) They'll think TWICE about ever buying from you again. I have another purchase in mind and now I'm not placing that order.

You are creating a terrible user experience.

I ordered a pair of trousers— a new item, listed as in stock — a month ago. I am still waiting for delivery. I did get a notice that the item shipped — TWENTY days ago — but every time I track the package the projected delivery date is further out. At this point, I no longer want what I purchased. I'm over it. If this parcel ever arrives it is getting shipped right back to Everlane.
