You pay for nothing. I looked up myself, husband, and a friend information... apparently they have no information on any of us... unless we upgrade... please... fool me once... not twice... they should be sued. There are no stars for this website.
This service was of no use to me at all. It didn't come up with ANY information that I requested. I tried several different names just to see if it would bring up the marriage records of any one of them, including myself, and not ONE search came back with any information. The response was always, "Upgrade now to a Premium Report to see the information that you are looking for." I called the customer service number twice and just got a voice mail each time. I left a message yesterday, and no one bothered to call me back. I can't see how they can keep any customers like this. Stay far away.
I used eVerify to look up a license plate of a car that was parked on our block with no identifiable owner. The information that came back was completely wrong - state, make of car etc. In addition, I had signed up for a $2.95 single term of use, but my PayPal account was charged $19.95. I disputed the charge with PayPal, but they denied my claim. Save yourself this experience - do not sign up with eVerify!
This is a blatant bait-and-switch site, and deserves to go out-of-business quickly! I entered a phone number on the Phone Search part of their front page, and it pretended to do some searching, then came up with a screen that had green checkmarks next to the Full Name, Address, and Full Background Report "Available" links. I clicked the link next to Address, and paid their $19.95 fee. Then, it went through some more [fake] searching and came back with absolutely NO information. I then saw a link to request a report from a human investigator to be returned within 48 hours, so I clicked on that and got a confirmation. Here we are 10 days later, after making an inquiry to them and demanding a full refund... absolutely no response from them at all (and, yes, I check my Spam folder). This has been the most blatant theft of money I have ever encountered on the internet. Shame on this bogus site!
I tried their system and it couldn't find me which should not be very hard. Then they tried to bump me for more $$ for their "Premium" service. Seems like they are just in this to collect the $2.95 5 day trial period charge SAD
Useless, if I could I would put 0 stars, it does not provide accurate information, is wants you to wait to 48 hours to do a concrete report, not best timing when you are buying a car in the moment, Horrible website, wastes of money and time,
I submitted an opt-out request, and after sending them an e-mail as to why my information was still on their website, it was removed. I think the opt-out request should be done on-line it cost me $11.00 to fax the requested information for one person.
This site purports to provide "reports" on people, cars, neighborhoods, etc. I paid for three reviews: two different cars, and one person (me). In each case, the report had extensive boilerplate (graphics, and various general descriptions of their service), but contained nothing beyond the very basics of the car or person I was interested in. I am sure this is a scam, since they don't seem to make any effort to provide value for the money they charge.
I just signed up for Everify and have already cancelled it. I pulled up people that I know (people in my family) and this site has nothing on them. The addresses that they have for my dad is not even a place he has lived. He has a very uncommon name so I know it wasn't just a mix up with spelling as Everify wants you to believe is the problem. I can get more information on a person through Ancestry.com than I can from this site. I would not pay $1.00 for it after the experience I've had today. So very disappointing.!
You see what you want on the screen, you pay. You get nothing but a come-on to pay more for the "premium report". I stopped after the 1st 30 bucks. Still trying to get that back. I got nothing except a membership which is worth nothing.
I purchased this to find out more about a used car I was looking at. I did not trust the Carfax and wanted to find out more information. It was useless. I think they just down load the car specs and load them onto their website. Shame on them.
I tryed it one day for the 2.95, don't bother it did not have info on phone numbers at all. I did my self and it had no information at all. This may be a good thing, idk.
I would just save the 3.00 I was offered it 5 days cancelled in 1. TY
Ever have somebody run you off the road and you're able to get their license plate? Well you won't find out anything about them here. All you'll get is information about the make and mode of their car like the MSRP, wheelbase length, etc. despite them claiming they had all the info you could want.
It gets worse though, because then they try to make it appear as if they do have the information (I wasn't stupid enough to fall for this but spoiler: they don't) but you need to pay them an extra 20, 50, 100 bucks.
They KNOW they're misleading people. Report them to the BBB.
Do not waste your money on this scam. False advertisement youve been warned. What youre looking for you will not find it. Theyre direct you to a so called premium subscription which you also will have to pay for. Thsi site should be shut down any good reviews are probably fake
You pay to verify information on a cell phone number and your information
Comes back. This is a scam I cancelled the subscription and if they don't
They are in for a big surprise with a non rechargeable visa which is almost empty.
Ah ah ah scammer you can try and pay yourself SURPRISE
You pay 20 dollars for them to tell you that you have to ugprade to premium account which is an additional 20 dollars to access any information, youre essentially paying 20 dollars just for an account then have to pay 20 dollars to access information. They lie, they scam. Anyone who came here and rated it more than one star clearly works for them.
Easy to sign up.
Site is absolutely useless and whomever owns it doesn't care about anything but collecting your money. I cannot find anything beyond address of only a few people I know. When I search "myself" absolutely nothing comes back as if I don't even exist. You would think searching your own background you'd find at least something. Wow, absolute rip off!
I only signed up to find which court my buddy's case was located in. He's serving some really hard time for violent assaults with a firearm. He was sentenced to 10 years when his trial ended two years ago, yet eVerify shows "No Criminal Records", with his exact name and address link.
Now they have my credit card, and good luck to me cancelling... Fraud City.
1. Didn't produce criminal history for somebody who I know has a record in New York state.
2. Didn't have a license plate record, they offered a 'complimentary' secondary search, I never heard back from them.
Their inaccuracy brings into question their credibility.
I can only conclude that eVerify is a poorly run, falsely (maybe not fraudulently but overstated) advertised website that I would not recommend. It looks nice and the promises for information are very tempting, but eVerify does not deliver any results.
Wish I had read this web site's reviews by others before I visited this awful scammer! I thought I had researched well enough. A sight which purports to list background search sites from best to less must be in cahoots with everify.com or is, in fact, everify.com. That referral site is http://www.topconsumerreviews.com/background-checks/ Don't go there--they're scammers too!
Thank goodness I only went for the one-time search rather than the "Free Trial" period. Now I must check next month to ensure that everify.com doesn't charge me again. Wish I could get my hands around their throats.
Answer: Hello. Because we are a public records provider, I would not recommend our services to screen tenants. In fact, we state in our Terms/Legal page that we prohibit clients from using our services for tenant or employment screening. Sometimes there are inaccuracies in public data and it's best to not use public data for making these kinds of decisions. You will be better served by a tenant screening service that uses credit data/non-public data to screen your tenants. I recommend reviewing the FCRA guidelines on data use. I hope this was helpful. Thank you.
