I have read some of the past reviews and I can only say that I'm lucky I haven't run into any disputes with sellers or buyers and haven't had to contact the Etsy staff for anything in my approximately 5 years or so of using it. HOWEVER, I did have words with one seller, who I was looking at the switchplates she decorated in her store (which I also had started making switchplates. I was a beginner so I was looking around Etsy to see what techniques other people used to make theirs)... I asked her what she used to seal her switchplates with. That's all. And she FLIPPED out on me... saying that she sees switchplates in m store and she knows I'm going to copy her, and shes reporting me to Etsy and all these horrible things. So I basically tore her a new one, to put it nicely. She apologized because she realized what an $#*!&*$% she was being, and told me she was having a bad day. Whatever. But that's the only problem I ever had. Other than that, the sellers and buyers have been friendly. I love this site because it's so incredibly inspiring, I could spend hours looking through the stores and items... and spending way too much money on stuff! I sell also. It's just a really fun, really unique website. I couldn't do without it.

SITTIN PRETTY WITH MYLEEN RIPPED ME OFF $450 ON AN ITEM I PURCHASED THAT THEY REFUSED TO SHIP TO ME. THEY REPEATEDLY MADE EXCUSES OF WHY IT HADN'T BEEN SHIPPED. LONG STORY SHORT. THEY REFUNDED THE MONEY FOR THE ITEM AND KEPT $450 SHIPPING. THEY WERE 100% IN THE WRONG AND ETSY WOULD DO NOTHING.

NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SELLER: Felicia Bowman! Please contact me for to see the picturess of what she sent me. I have all the emails back and forth as well as pictures of the results! HORRIBLE. I ordered this for my 8 year old daughter that wears a size 6 in girls (and she knew that) and I received something that I cannot even fit on a baby doll! And I paid and extra $22 to have this dress shipped by an overnight carrier, I have proof and pics that it was sent USPS! She is refusing to refund my money and says this will fit my daughter. This is what Etsy sent after my receiving a fake ring from Cestsla on Etsy. I had to keep at her and them to get any response on the faking off a sterling ring and fake stones for a 14k with diamonds... I literally had to file a lawsuit... which resulted in her sending another ring. Hasn't been checked out yet. That's how recent this is

Customer Service Is Nonexistent with Etsy
August 1, 2022

June 26,2022 I placed an order with Giselaandzoe via Etsy. I never received an order confirmation so I messaged the seller a few days after placing order. I received no response from the first nor second nor third.

I decided to wait until after the item is delivery day to decide what to do. The original delivery day was around July 10 the latest. The estimated delivery passed and I noticed I had a new delivery day July 19. That came and went. Never received order.

The seller contacted me finally and never fulfilled her promises.

I contact Klarna because I had a hard time finding the chat bubble that Etsy used to have. Thanks to Klarna I received part of my refund but wasn't refunded the shipping cost.

I get in contact with Etsy and they said that they would help me that was in July August the 1 still no resolution. They keep saying that it's on Klarna's end but Klarna says it's the seller who has control of withholding the shipping.

I have contacted Etsy on several occasions about this matter and they keep saying that they'll get back with me if they need to. And that they will take care of it. I highly doubt it.

I have shopped on Etsy for years and never had a bad seller nor had to deal with Etsy customer service. Now I am done with Etsy. They are truly dishonest and have no idea of what's customer service. No more shopping on Etsy ever again.

Scammer!

Don't buy from this site, because when you have problem with your order they won't responsible for anything, for instant if the seller sent you fake tracking number, the escalate team will say it's not their responsibility if the tracking number is wrong or error as soon as the seller have tracking number for you. This means any seller can fake tracking number and they will get away with it. Or if the item does not arrive, the escalate team will called it a late arriving and you have to contact the shipping company by your self. And not even talk about refund, because most of the shops on ETSY pay through PayPal and thus they will advise you to contact PayPal your self for refund. All in all this website is a $#*! scammer who responsible for nothing that ever happened to you lost order. Ehh. But they will responsible for the damage item, however needed the proof but where could you give them proof when item never arrived. Hahaha what's a joke website!
Contact ETSY escalate team and open case on ETSY is a wasted of time and shopping on Etsy is a wasted of money.

DONT SELL ON ETSY

DO NOT SELL ON THIS SITE UNLESS YOU MONEY TO GIVE AWAY. Try Amazon or EBay, they exercise common sense and treat sellers better. The way Etsy treat its sellers is vile. Dipping into my account to refund buyers for the simplest query offering full refunds even though they received their order and not giving me a chance to respond. They refunded 20 orders even thought I provided the tracking information showing the orders were delivered they still continue to refund buyers. One buyer reached out because of missing screws, guess what they gave her a full refund even though she didn't request one. Another buyer contact then 5 months later saying she didn't receive her order when clearly did and they still refunded her 5 months later! They just dip into your account and do whatever they want! Decided to cancel my card to stop them doing this, guess what, they got my new card number before me. Disgusting, not properly thought out policies that can lead sellers to loose a lot of money if the slightest things goes wrong and you don't get a chance to deal with it. You might as well stand on the roadside and hand out free products because they've certainly given my products away for free and I've lost thousands as a result. AVOID AS A SELLER, THEY HAVE TOO MUCH CONTROL OVER YOU BANK ACCOUNT AND THEY TREAT YOU HORRIBLY! The attached screenshot is one example of 20 orders they refunded for literally no reason! Asked for screws got a full refund! How is possible? Beggars belief that this is happening, I cannot believe it!

Scammers

This site is full of scammers and when you try to get help from Etsy they do nothing to help this company should be shut down idk how they allow people to take your money and then never send your order or respond to you when you ask about your order I placed a order on the first of august and the seller responded for two days then took down his site so I contacted Etsy support and they told me to get my money back I have to wait until today the 17th to get a refund then today the seller magically pops up so I guess they don't have to refund me my money beware of this scamming site I wouldn't recommend to anyone they need to be reported for robbing people out of there money

ATTENTION CONSUMERS! Use another trusted site. There is absolutely NO buyer protection. First purchase a few months ago went smoothly. I didn't like the item (t-shirt) because of the quality. But, I just decided it would be a hassle to ship it back. Second, and LAST time was a few weeks ago. Different "company." But, again for another T-shirt. I placed my order and 8 DAYS later, they convo me that it's out of stock and will be delivered in another WEEK! By the time it gets to me, it will for sure have passed the date I needed it. But, I figure I could use it for another event. I receive the package and now I'm pissed off. I specifically asked if it was going to be a certain color or atleast close to it. It's not. I'm baffled and even googled the color. Fast forward, I'm 100% not satisfied. The transaction, the quality (looks like something you can get at Charlotte Russe. But, for a cheaper price tag!), the fit (unflattering). I ask for a refund. Denied. But, she does offer to trade in for another shirt. Of course, after paying for shipping AGAIN, this shirt that I'm trading in will cost me $35+. SO not worth it. But that's not the point. I don't want any of the products. I just want my money back. Contacted Etsy and same lame answer as other people on here. No BUYER PROTECTION! Cancelled my acct. Going back to Macy's, Amazon, eBay etc. This is your last warning before you buy anything on Etsy! Just DON'T! Especially from HappyHeadTees. Learned my lesson. Never doing business with Etsy again. I have just bought myself a $27.58 rag for my car.

Bad experiance ever

Etsy doesnt respect the seller and they suspend any account they want. The customer service also are Terrible:
-they not respond to my messages and my tickets.
-etsy team doesn't listen to my complaints.
-They never respond to my appeal more than two months ago
-they suspended me from the chat while I am talking to them. I swear to you i did not smell or do anything wrong. Just told me wait a little to see the problem and then they told me without any introductions you will not be able to chat with us again without even talking about my problem!.

My advice to anyone who want to sell on it. Please try any other platform because etsy will make you lose all the time that you spent to build the shop, the traffic and the customers. And will make you lose any investment like marketing budget on promoted listings, fees and social platforms ads.

In the end, I loved etsy more than any other platform in the world, but after being disrespected, I hate it very much now and most of the reviews I have seen agree.

And I think etsy is a bubble and will explode sooner from any competitor who builds good relationships with his vendors. And It follows the interest policy of sellers and buyers, not just the interest of the company

ETSY IS SCAMMER

I was working on Etsy last 3 years and last two weeks ago Etsy suspended my account for no Reason they didn't send me any warning email directly suspended my account and next day emailed me. Has done a violation for the past three years I've been using it never did anything like that I followed their policy carefully and they suspended my account I appealed my appeal was rejected The guy named Freddy They have cheated me of 14,000 euros. I made the products and sent to my customer. My expenses were incurred. They refunded the money to the customer and my product also reached the customer. Then I went from Italy to Ireland to their office in Dublin. There was a person named Muhammad Sanaullah. He did not open the door, but I told him everything, he said call the customer center, I made so many phone calls, Etsy didn't pick my call. This is a huge fraud, Etsy is a scammer these people wasted my three years of hard work in a minute I request all of you please never to do business with Etsy, ebay and Amazon is better than Etsy, they don't cheat you like Etsy

I haver never had a weird way of returning an item. I have to open a case. I ordered one top, I opened a case to return it and got my money back immediately.

The other order I ordered many tops, the seller wrote. That they accept returns. I opened the case. The top was not like the picture. In actuality it was much smaller and shorter. The seller and buyer exchange messages. They asked me about the size if it matched their size chart, I said no and then they closed the case and I didnt get a refund. I was so upset! The sellers site said they give refunds!

There should be a customer service on Etsy website, there was none. But after the case was closed, I wrote down my phone number and they called me back. Etsy gave me a refund but short $4 and change? The refund was coming out of THEIR pocket which I thought was unjust. I think it should be coming out of the seller's pocket. But I am very relieved and happy that I got most of my refund.

What a nightmare. I will be very hesitant to buy on etsy again or I will stick with American sellers. The sellers I dealt with were in Australian and some other foreign country.
