If you do, I would be cautious about ordering from international sellers, use a credit card in case you need to contest the charges, and do NOT expect ETSY do a thing if you get ripped off. They are useless and could care less once the sale is final.

If the individual seller is honest and does good work, you'll have no problem. However, if there is an issue with your order, don't expect any help from Etsy. In my experience, they support and protect disreputable vendors at the expense of honest buyers. I'll never use Etsy again.

This was my 1st time ordering. It's been a month & still haven't received item. With 3 messages of she's sending it again... I guess it's a buyer beware. Get a lot of reviews before ordering.

I have ordered from the same shop in What three times, and found the seller ( who is in the US) extremely reliable and prompt in sending my parcel. I think it all depends on the seller, since these are individual shops in the site. I hope that helps.

Please keep in mind that etsy has thousands of sellers. It is a difficult site to rate here on sitejabber because ratings really do not relate to the site. Ratings would have to relate to individual sellers. I have had at least 100 transactions on esty and have not had a single issue.

I've only ordered linen dresses from China. I've purchased at least a dozen items. My ONLY disappointment was w/ the first order as I did not contact the seller. Since I have always asked the seller a few small questions. Every seller got back to me almost immediately and there was open communication. If you can contact a seller, you can get an idea of how " professional " they are. Good luck. Hope this helped a bit

Honestly, I ordered once and had very bad experience. Never will use this website anymore. The seller was very mean, when I complained about the order. Don't expect a refund

It really depends on the person you ordered from.the lady that made my son's first birthday outfit did pretty good. Got it with in a few weeks after putting the order in. I just ordered my son's 2ND Birthday outfit but from a different person. That was a few weeks ago but she did message me last week telling me she got my order and that she will be working on it. So yea depends on the person. Just keep checking your Etsy account. If they message you you will get an email through Etsy. Sometimes they don't check their orders right away.

It all depends on the vendor. It's like eBay. Every one is a separate business. Some of them are good businesspersons; others not so much. I've had some good experiences and only a couple of bad ones. I have two friends who sell goods on Etsy and are successful because they take it seriously both their products and how they do business. One way to know is to get a conversation going about the product and see how promptly they answer, how they talk about the product, and just how they impress you.
