This company will shut down very soon. They are rude, weird and everything about them is very shady. After having a successful 2 plus years in business and 5 stars from customers on their platform I was like other many sellers shut down abruptly. Additionally, I received an robotic email from their " Intergrity" department that my items which are 100% handmade does not qualify to sell on etsy. They made almost a 100K from me in fees over 2 years, and all I received was a stinking email that my 2nd grade child can write better.
Your company is doing bad business and I will post this review all over the place and wherever I can. The fact that they doing this to legitimate businesses and letting all kind of scammers to sell clearly machine made imported items is disgusting and disgraceful. You will be very soon in court facing a class action suit. Good luck to you and I guess that was the best that happened to me since that pushed me to start my own website and pay less fees in adversting.
Do NOT frequent this SHOP on Etsy Fannyh sells glass pendents She is not at all respectfull of customers
We did not receive a necklace and she refused to process a refund
Fanny considered posting a review a " threat "
After much anguish Etsy support finally processed a refund
However, in the process, they lost me as a valued consumer,
Read this review and beware of sellers such as Fanny on Etsy
Etsy is nothing but a scam wrapped in a nice website. My credit card was used fraudulently to charge $231 for merchandise from a vendor listed as twistedsisterC processed by Etsy. Etsy processed the credit card without address verification or a CVV which is unconscionable. I sent an e-mail to *******@etsy.com as instructed on the Etsy website with a promised response of 24 hours. I followed up with additional e-mails and filed a case complaint verbally with Etsy at which time they promised a 24 to 48 hour response. It has not been 7 days and 6 days respectively with no response. I just called and told it could take up to 3 weeks but that I wouldn't be receiving a response because I don't have an "Etsy Account." Obviously they have no business ethics, no concern for their sellers and certainly no grasp on reality if they think I am going to open an Etsy account so that I can get a response to fraud. Obviously Etsy is only interested in revenue and will let all problems be duked out between buyers and sellers without protecting either. This company has no integrity!
I ordered a face mask from a seller called Texaslavishdesi*** thinking I'd have no problems with it having read the size, description etc. I get my mask and it had two large gaping holes on both sides that had both sides of my face almost completely exposed. I contacted the seller since they had stated "contact me if you have any problems with your order." I message them and request a refund for a mask that i simply cannot use for the issue totally defeats the purpose of a face mask. I even attached a photo so they could see for themself just how useless it is. All they could say was that they don't accept refunds and that it isn't their fault it doesn't fit my face. They also implied that I didn't read the measurements when in fact I did and it wasn't the size of the mask but rather it was not fitted on the sides so that it could rest properly on the sides of a face. There's no way I could've known they had a no refund policy as they failed to mention it on their page and I also didn't anticipate having any problems with it. I've seen many sellers that will mention their no refund policy if they have one. So I open a case and the seller was unresponsive then finally I was granted a refund from etsy. However the seller got to keep my money from the transaction which irked me. This was simply a seller that couldn't care less as long they got my money. I will never make the big mistake of purchasing from them again and I need to remind myself not to let this experience ruin etsy for me all because of one lousy seller.
I have been dealing with a scam artist store on Etsy named NEOLE. She promised a dress delivered with plenty of time for my daughters prom at the tune of $165. The dress arrived the very day of my daughters prom, of course we had to run out and buy her a new dress the day before knowing it wasn't going to arrive in time. I refused delivery and the post lady returned the dress, the post office shows that she (NEOLE) received the dress and signed for it, aside from the insulting, harassing and abusive messages she has sent me she is saying that she never received the dress and her "attorney" is looking into it. Still no refund. Oh and she has lied to the admin telling her that I sent the dress back to the wrong address and that she has never received it, I contacted the post office and they sent me the paper that she received AND signed for it. The admin has already told her twice to refund me but so far nothing and only her refusal to do so. Her shop is still up and running. Unbelievable
I bought 3 candles, from this place and I LOVE THE SENTS when I ordered 2 candles before, and did not like the sent, DAN FROM DAN CANDLES DANDLES,, made it right with me, and offered a refund, he acted like VERY POLITE, PERSON, I DID RECEIVE MY NEW CANDLES, AND THE SMELL WONDERFUL. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING AND WILL BUY MORE CANDLES IN MY FUTURE... THE PRICES ARE VERY GOOD FOR THE CANDLE $9.99 FOR CANDLES ARE A VERY GREAT PRICE FOR THE CANDLES. I HOPE ALL GOES WELL FOR THIS NEW COMPANY...
I wasn't going to write a review for Etsy but I decided I would after reading other sellers reviews. I was a top notch sellers with all positive reviews. I always went above and beyond. One night a lady wrote me a message telling me I shouldn't sell fraternity items in my shop. She said I should be ashamed. I thanked her for her opinion and soon after etsy began to remove items from my shop and when I tried to add an item they blocked it. So I I grew frustrated and had enough of their favoritism. I closed my shop after 10 years and hundreds of loyal customers. Etsy used to be ok was never that good for quick sales. One thing Etsy did for me I opened my own website and dumped the ridiculous fees. You sell something for $100 and you only get $60. Etsy has little to no customer support. You get no help from support didn't used to be this way now Etsy is going down the tube. They got too big without proper management. There are no fluency, you will never getxa straight answer. I gather Etsy don't have a knowledge Base. It seems as if their support comes from thin air no Intel there. You think you going to make all this money on Etsy, think again. I know it's exciting to own your business but if you use Etsy they are stealing your money. If you enjoy giving your hard earned money away then Etsy is for you.
All the details written by Ethnocity about the the "SO CALLED" yoga necklaces and malas are of no use. All the healing details written in each of the products is FAKE. OVERPRICED items with no healing properties and just trying to fool customers. Ethnocity is fake.
I listed some items on ESTY for sale and a lady ordered 1 of the items and paid ESTY $45 ESTY never mentioned the sale to me and I tried to talk to them about it and they informed me that I did not have an ESSTY account and asked that I give them a credit card and they would not charge me and help me find my account. I saw the items I listed and it even said I had 1 sale but I could not open the account. I will pay the lady back her $45 but ESTY will hate the day I was born. I intend to write about this on every venue possible for as long as I have the strength to write.
I've brought several things on Esty and I pretty liked them. I haven't had and dissatisfying problems and I hope I don't. I like the products on Esty.

I waited 6 weeks for 3 nfl watches, and when they arrived they were all the wrong franchises. Cannot get an answer from etsy
They do not honor scheduled order shipment dates. I am 5 weeks into a placed order with no ship date yet despite several broken promises.
My shop was suspended
No notification.
Customer support not answer sent 5 times
I think a company with zero culture
Not recommend selling on Etsy
As a seller, I love etsy. Low fees, easy to use, and I get lot's of sales... You can't beat it for handmade items.
I really like their creams, Home Brew natural coffee hand and body cream is just awesome! No doubt I give five stars!
They don't tell you you'll pay a customs charge even though they list their prices in your local currency. Very sneaky indeed.
Not a big fan~! Etsy is getting way to large to even navigate. Kinda discouraged and confused by the whole thing really.
Trust me. If you purchase from Etsy online you will regret it. And that is a fact. Terrible customer service. Lousy company.
Answer: Check the reviews, and Google the seller. Also, are the reviews written in good english? Does it seem fake? Check pictures from the buyers.
Answer: I would have to say no, with LOTS of exceptions. In the past few years Etsy has allowed business to claim handmade if it meets certain criteria. I often see many items that claim to be handmade but I have seen them on Alibaba being sold in bulk. That being said I look very closely and have purchased some wonderfu items from great sellers. The biggest problem with Etsy is that they no longer protect customers from fraud (they say they are not liable) but in doing that lots and lots or resellers and counterfeit items have saturated Etsy' s marketplace. I would never buy anything "vintage" there. What I have seen you are getting thrift store rejects or modern fake. Buyer beware! Investigate all vendors carefully!
Answer: I am agree with Ramina. 90% is not hand made. All comes from Factories. When someone has over 8000's item don't you ask who made it. They are all over from Pakistan to turkey east to west up united state. Etsy is happy just to take your money and every 4 or 5 months closing one store to show off and if you have some money as a credit they take it too. No customer service, no respect no manor, they made policy just for FUN and they have FUN with our pocket. Stay far from them FAR FAR.
Answer: I agree with Steve J on this one. A lot of sellers on Etsy work from home in the evenings for extra money. Most of them are not big businesses with massive inventories so I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Give them a little more time and if they dont send it out then file a case with etsy
Answer: Business checking isn't necessary (the banks now charge a monthly fee for a small business checking). You can pretty much set up a regular checking account
Answer: I believe this depends on each seller. Etsy is simply a platform for sellers, and often does not have any direct involvement with orders short of processing the payment. Certain items cannot be returned for safety and hygiene reasons, and sellers can refuse to do anything other than exchange. Contacting Etsy may or may not change the results.
Answer: If you do, I would be cautious about ordering from international sellers, use a credit card in case you need to contest the charges, and do NOT expect ETSY do a thing if you get ripped off. They are useless and could care less once the sale is final.
Answer: I have bought a number of items through Etsy and with great success. I had only one negative experience and Etsy took are of that. I recommend Etsy wholeheartedly.
Answer: The best and quickest thing to do is to email the seller and let them know that you would like to return for a refund.
