I had a problem with my Fantastic Vent Model 5250. The wall control quit working and I inquired about getting parts, only to find out that Dometic has taken over Fantastic Vent and parts are no longer being manufactured. Jarred tried had to get a replacement wall control, but none to be found. He even suggested other websites, but I couldn't get an exact match either covering coast to coast. He even gave a suggestion for a replacement if I had no success - (MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke.) After doing more testing and reading, I discovered that the rj11 connectors quite often create a problem. I replaced the rj11 connector and voila, the controller now works. Thanks Jarred for your suggestions and help.

For the 2nd time I've canceled my order with Etrailer and purchased what I need from another source. Exactly as happened last time, the shipping date and therefore the estimated receipt date changed 3 times in as many days. When I question it I always get "we are short staffed and trying to get the orders out as soon as possible. We update your order status to keep you advised". Truth is I order stuff because I need it and when you keep using it back it doesn't help me at all no matter how often you communicate it.
It would be helpful if Etrailer would post a statement on their website that says "we are short staffed and shipping may (probably will) be delayed". But they don't. They draw you in with a great delivery date and then change it asking you to be flexible. Well no more Etrailer. I will go elsewhere.

I created an order from e-trailer on 6/7/22 because the website indicated all items were in stock and would be shipped on 6/10 and delivered by 6/15. After ordering, the shipping date changed several times. The ridiculous part was, according to the website, if I were to create a new order, it would be delivered before my original order even shipped. I contacted e-trailer (Rory) with my disappointment and frustration and was given a new shipping date. Rory also said an IT ticket would be created to fix the website. Since my conversation with Rory, the shipping date has changed two more times. It is now two weeks from the date I placed the order. Again, this is for items "in stock". Very poor business practice.

Needless to say, I have cancelled my order and will not order from e-trailer again.

I tried reaching out for assistance for one full day and half of the next one, finally I was able to talk to a guy, the guy was nice and knowledgeable so I went ahead and placed my order, delivery time was a concern but they assured me that my hitch was going to make it on time for my trip, guess what? They didn't ship out my item claiming that some information was needed to be verified but since this happened on a friday my item didn't ship so no hitch for my trip thanks to them, I placed my order early that day but they called late that same day when nothing could've been done to be able to ship my item out.

My first and last time buying from them.

Not reliable for my needs.

They need to realize that an apology and blaming covid won't do the job.

Terrible company!

We received damaged jacks. The company said they would send new jacks right away along with a return label for the broken jacks we received. Not only did the replacement jacks never ship, but we only received half a refund after returning the broken jacks. We finally had to have Citibank get the rest of the refund for us.

Have never heard back from "experts"

I have sent 4 or 5 emails to the "ask an expert" about an issue I am having with one of their trailer light converters and have never heard back from them and now the time has expired to return the product.
Their customer service is a joke. I am beginning to wonder if the question that were anwered bu their experts that you see on their web site are made up.

I was impressed with the responsiveness of Kevin C., these days it seems like getting any response is rare, however with this company/Kevin it was very quick. Do appreciate that there are companies out there like this one that still believes in customer service. I do however have to question the recommendation provided, I was looking for lights to be installed in my trailer, I mentioned that my trailer was approximately 24' in length, I was told that I should get 10 lights. So that's what I ordered, I haven't installed them yet, however I have a feeling that might be a little over kill. I'm hoping that the recommendation wasn't an attempt to make a bigger sale than necessary. Thank you!

Incompetent

Idk how they stay in business. The owner must be a special kind of special. Ordered a ladder rack that supposedly took a month to get in stock, then they pushed back my shipment for 8 days straight before I cancelled. Don't waste your time with these sand eaters.

Where is my item?

Ordered cross bars for my truck cap…. Was told I would have them by a certain date… their site shows they hadn't left their shipping dept…. After a few emails they finally responded and said that my item left and usps must not have scanned my item…. I contacted usps and they said they don't have my item… so did they create a shipping label and don't have my item in stock? I told them to cancel my order… they said we can't it left our facility…. I said I didn't get it when I was promised…. They said I have to give usps 14 days to ship…. I said I will return if/when it comes… they said I would have to pay return shipping…. What kind of bull$#*! is that…. I guess my next step is to dispute the charge with my credit card…. Have purchased from etrailer many times…. Never again!

I ordered a baseplate, tow bar, wiring kit and brake assist. The baseplate was defective as was the tow bar. The baseplate fork/prongs that stuck out, where too narrow on one side so nothing could fit into them. When you try to explain this, the people you speak to just don't get it. Many back and forth emails essentially educating them on what parts are called, how they fit together, etc. I went to the manufacturer of the baseplate, Demco, and talked with them. It was definitely defective but getting that across to etrailer was extremely difficult. I chose to report the defective tow bar to someone different, thinking I could get someone more clued up. First response was her trying to transfer back to the original person helping me without reading any notes on the issues. The people helping are very young, high school age it feels like without any real world and common sense experience. Its all really soured me on etrailer. I will not order again from them.

I ordered an item on May 13,2022 and received a confirmation of the order along with confirmation the item was in stock on the same day. I just checked the order status today and it says the item will be shipped on May 26th. That is a full 2 weeks to get the order shipped when it is in stock. This is totally unsatisfactory and I will never order from them again.

POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE

I have never written a bad review for a company. I recently purchased a roof rack from ETRAILER for my 2020 Honda Civic. There was supposed to be 3 boxes for the complete rack. I received 2. I understand things happen. When I called etrailer and spoke with them, they informed me they couldn't figure out why I didn't receive the 3rd box, but they did see that I had not received it, and that it was lost in transit with UPS. They informed me they were going to do an investigation with UPS. That's fine, I asked if they could just ship me again the missing parts as I need the rack ASAP to which thy refused. Not sure why they can't just ship me the missing parts again and when they find the missing box have UPS just send that one back. Then my wife asked about returning the rack so we could get a refund and purchase from someone else who would offer better customer service. They said that would be fine but we would have to pay the shipping back and they would deduct their shipping and handling fees for when the send it to me. This really is ridiculous.

Worst service ever

I placed an order 5-3-22 and was told everything was in stock and ready for delivery by 5-17-22, called to check on order 5-17-22 because internet site showed order had not shipped. Called again was told it would ship 5-18-22. Just looked again and now shows 5-19-22 ship date. Called again and was told that they were waiting on lights i ordered that they said they had in stock, but didnt, so my whole order was held up because they dont know what they have. Now they say they dont know when it will ship. I canclled the order and will buy somewhere else, You cant depend on any one any more!

Virtually no returns…

Bought a curt trailer harness for around $30 but it didn't fit due to some tricky wording in the description. I initiated a return and employee Chelsea D basically told me it was my fault and even if I returned it there was a $15 dollar label fee and 20% restocking because I lost the box (She was also kind of rude as well but that's besides the point).

Now I know why Amazon exist.

I ordered a Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver and a Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes on April 27 2022.
According to them, when I placed the order, everything was in stock.
Unfortunately, they were not, and they shipped my order May 6th, 11 days later.
I specifically ordered this from them, at a higher cost, because they told me it was stock and I could receive it within 5 days.

Customer service is an automated email return, so good luck getting ant kind of communication with them. Tried 3 times, did not get anything else but autoreply.

Overall, you can get it cheaper anywhere else. Don't lose your time with them.
They have no stock on anything.

Dishonesty

Order # ******* Very poor service and honesty! Ordered two vehicle sway bars on Apr 28, which were showing on-site as both being IN-STOCK. Later notified that one was back-ordered. On May 5, back-ordered bar became IN-STOCK but wouldn't be shipped until May 10th. Arriving May 16th. Called to see why the delay and was told by Justin, that this problem was normal, they didn't care that their website was incorrect, but I could pay an additional expedited shipment fee of $47 to get the bars by May 11th. They exhibited no concern about their website being incorrect and will make no effort to overcome their mistakes. Totally unprofessional. Will not purchase anything from them in the future.

I placed an order on 4/25. On 5/2 I looked for my order status to see when the order shipped. Found out the order had not shipped? I called customer service and was first told the order was out of stock but when I look at the product on line and found there were 13 in stock. Finally after after 20 minutes and two 5 minutes holds I was told the units were in stock and they will ship out the next day or two. I checked again tonight and found the order still had not shipped and when I talked to customer service again tonight and they could not tell me when the order could ship. While I was on hold I checked Amazon Prime which had the same product in stock and it could be here in 2 days. Cancelled my order at Etrader after talking to customer service and placed the order with Amazon. I will never do business with company again and neither should anyone else when they tell you after 10 days they have no idea when they can ship an in stock item.
