Yes we all get damaged packages and missing parts first and last time ordering from e trailer. First package was lost waited the 8 to 10 days to for investigation and reship 2 package was damaged so bad UPS sent it back mid transit so 3rd package had so much tape it was a joke had to the 2nd package missing every bolt, clip and pins and 3 months later still only half side of of a stabilizer hitch. Numerous emails back-and-forth trying to get the parts even sent a pick of the parts I received that day. Stay away from this company..

Bought item that the website shows will fit my vehicle (see pic). Once received I find out it doesn't fit. Called them and Robert (rude and condescending) said since I did not call them to order then I have to pay for shipping to send back. Even tried to walk him through the steps I took to get to the product and all he can say is "that's not what my phone does."
Absoulutely terrible customer service. Turns out after my experience I found it a bit cheaper anyways on Amazon so almost covered my shipping expense back to etrailer.
I have been using etrailer.com since 2015 and have ordered from them multiple times without issue. However with my last order they completely dropped the ball.
I order something simple that you can find on multiple sites (thousands of sites) and I just went with etrailer.com since they had it at a discounted price - a back seat air mattress for my SUV. It was listed as 8 - 10 days for shipping so I ordered it and promptly forgot about it due to getting busy. This was on Jun 25th.
Aug 2nd I get an email from etrailer apologizing for the delay in my order but it hasn't arrive from the manufacture but they are expecting it by the 8th and they will get it out then. I am told to email or call if I have any questions. I tried replying to the email to express my dissatisfaction with the month plus wait and that I expected them to do something to make things right - my email bounced since their mail servers are improperly configured. I decided to just wait the six days for the order to get shipped.
Life interrupted again and I got busy; they got eight more days in order to ship. When I checked the status today it still had not moved forward in the processing. So I canceled the order with a note explaining why.
So much for etrailer.com - I will be ordering from someone else from now on. Either provide the service/goods you offer or shut down; quit misleading consumers.
I'm here to attest to, unless you want your anxiety or temper to skyrocket stay away from this company. They were terrible to deal and communicate with after the purchase. At first glance when talking to the sales representative-Adam-conversation was light and pleasant due to the used car salesman theory of hoping to get a sale. Fast forward to post receiving the $500+ roof rack. After installation they made a constant grating high pitch sound so I called etrailer and was basically told sorry about your luck and the item was not returnable. Not a good answer so I persued further with Adam who sold the item to me. He reassured me they would send a paid return label and I would get a refund. After several emails and over a week later still no return label. Crickets from etrailer and Adam. Seriously lame. Thanks for a terrible product and a terrible experience. I hope others take this review to heart!
I purchased a hitch and wiring harness for my 2016 Acura RDX. The first thing their website does is identify your vehicle. Once that information is input it presents your different options. I added the hitch to my cart then moved on to the wiring harness they recommended. When received the hitch was correct but the wiring harness was for the MDX not the RDX. Etrailer.com refused to acknowledge their mistake and insisted that I pay for the return shipping. This was the third and last hitch I will buy from them.
I needed replacement retaining washers for a Solera Pitch Arm Assembly. The item description: "Replacement Retaining Washers for Solera Pitch Arm Assembly" The cost was $17.88. NOTE: the description used the plural "Washers," not washer. I received ONE washer! WHAT A RIPOFF! Buyer beware! This company will price gouge you!
Gregory M. Give a very quick response to my question, advised me on the hitch I should use, and supplied me with a reasonable answer to the basic question I asked about. I'm very happy with his reply and will be purchasing my WDH for etrailer.com. On a side note, I'd like to say that I have used etrailer a few times in the past and have not been steered wrong. They are always helpful.
I've previously had good experiences with e-trailer. Their selection and pricing is decent. I recently ordered a set of hubs and wheels for a small trailer. Upon the anticipated delivery date, I logged back in to my account to track the order. I learned that part of the order was backordered two weeks, and this was never communicated. I asked for the portion of the order that was indicated as ready to ship to be overnighted, I was told that was also not available, even though their system indicates it is ready to ship. Clearly there is an issue with their inventory accuracy on the commerce platform, and communication about backorders is a manual process which broke down and never occurred in this situation. Disappointing experience they refused to address. I now have to rent a trailer when I placed the order in time to repair the one I own. Again, I've had good experiences in the past, but this time there were multiple issues and no desire to correct the issue on their end. I ended up cancelling.
These guys really do everything they can to provide product details so you know what you're getting before it's shipped out. Very happy with the customer service!

Beware, etrailer will tell you yes it fits your truck like a 5th wheel rail kit. The first shipment of the wrong kit came with a box very poorly packed and box end broke and all the brackets, bolts everything poured out. Took trailer 2 weeks to get the still wrong kit parts to me. Now it's been 3 weeks, I have the wrong kit and they want me to pay $138 to ship it back to them. Then you get it, then look at instructions and realize you have the wrong kit. Etrailer says sure we'll send you the right kit but after you pay $138 to ship back their mistake. They say it's not in stock, then a few minutes later say ok ok that kit IS in stock. They don't what fits what and don't know their stock level. If you want to take the chance, go for it. I wished I would have just paid a little more money and got the right kit from someone else.
Ordered a vent and other items a week ago and their website said it was IN STOCK. Well apparently that was a lie because I just received an email from them telling me my order was now ready to ship but the temporary payment option had expired and they needed me to call them and provide my CC# again. This means the items were NOT in stock. I canceled the order and will never do business with them again.

I don't think The person that answered my question has a good grasp of how a sidewinder pin box works. He may not of understood the question. I would the think that the wear plate should have a little more contact than just the front couple of inches.

I ordered a new one. I came up with a further problem in that the nut on the old horizontal bolt had been center punched in four places, I assume by the factory, and I had to cut it off with a cutting wheel, which damaged the threads on the old bolt,
I ordered a new replacement bolt which does not look like the old bolt. The old bolt has threads on the end for about 1/2 inch and the replacement bolt has threads about half way down the shaft.
Hope the new bolt and new nut will work.
