I knew from looking at the photos of an other customer, I would have to modify the hitch frame. Using a cut-off disk I removed several inches on the drivers side frame and sacrificed one bolt hole to accomodate a mounted plastic box that Ford installed on part of the frame. Yes the hitch has lost some capacity but I only haul a small open trailer, so this hitch will do the job. No modifications had to made to the vehicle. Every thing was stock when complete with the hitch install. Photo taken by the previous customer made the very job very easy
