I am constantly looking for good deals on items I want to add to one of my collections, and watch a large number of sales on eBay. I compare from various sellers and narrow down as often as I can to one Buy-It-Now. And that is when I line up auctions that I think can't net me a better deal. I have many factors that go into which ones reach eSnipe Status. As I get a selection, I put in what my max bid will be and move on to the next one. Lots of people overbid, so I certainly do not win everything. But it is nice to be able to "Set it and forget it". The cost of buying points for use in bidding (no deduction for not winning) is low. And if I find that I am going to be online at the end of the auction, I always have the option of cancelling my snipe in favor of manually sniping. But keep in mind that network traffic can be heavy and can thwart that effort. Having an eSnipe has no such issue. The only minor downside is that you cannot add an eSnipe in the last two minutes. But this only becomes an issue if you have multiple auctions ending at the same time that are not already being eSniped. In conclusion, for me, I would buy much less and have fewer opportunities without eSnipe.
Usually, I will use eSnipe when I know that I will not be available at the end of an auction. I do not want to bid hours or days ahead, because it will surely raise the final bid higher than it would be otherwise.
The tweaks that would make it better, in my opinion, would be:
1. Being able to add a snipe closer than the 2-minute limit ahead of the end of the auction. This may be tied to an eBay requirement, so there may not be anything that can be done. But at least I can cancel a snipe right up to the end of the auction.
2. Being charged 30 sniping points for winning bibs that are less than $30. There is really no good reason to do this. I avoid sniping some things because it otherwise uses up too much of my reserve, over time.
Despite the need for tweaks, this has been an invaluable piece of software for me.
I've used eSnipe a dozen times and have always been satisfied, even though there are free sniping sites out there. However, on my last bid, as I watched the seconds tick down expecting eSnipe to place the bid for me... nothing happened. Then I went to their site, which was down. When I spoke to customer service they blamed an eBay connection (which is a lie) and never updated the problem on their server status page (keeping members in the dark that they ever had a problem). They did admit during this conversation that this technical glitch happened to many customers of theirs. They were very dismissive about it like "this comes with the territory of placing bids in the final seconds". That's your job! Now they are refusing to refund my remaining "bid point" balance of $10 which I will NEVER use because I would never trust them again.
I have been using eSnipe for several years and have never had a problem with it placing last-second bids for me. It allows me to blindly place bids to my limits on items that I want, well ahead of auction ending times. This allows me to not only carefully research and consider my bids, but to relax and not have to watch for the closing minutes of the auctions. It is always nice to get my emails from eSnipe, saying that I have another win :)
I've used eSnipe for about 10+ years to bid on stuff I'd like but didn't want to fuss and fume at the last moment placing a bid.
So far out of maybe 40 or 50 uses it's been great - once in a while it doesn't place my bid but I've had that problem directly with eBay too - the web works in mysterious ways.
It's tempting to just go to the bay and bid my maximum price but I've had much better luck sniping in at the last few seconds. The cost of the snipe (1% for a winning bid) is very reasonable for the service and convenience.
I've been using eSnipe for over a decade and have saved a TON of $$$. While they can't guarantee that my bid will be the highest, they can level the playing field by making sure that my "best and final" bid is judged equally with those of competitors. Otherwise, competitors would just nickel and dime up their own bids, in and effort to smoke out my "best and final." The only alternative is setting my watch, placing my bid manually, and hoping I don't have a conflict when the auction is ending. My time is worth a lot more than that!
Your success is our success! 🏆 Thank you for your incredible review and for trusting us with your auctions. We're here whenever you need us! 💼
I have used eSnipe for years and have had only a small handful of problems. In the past I would set my bids for the last 2 seconds of the auction and occasionally would miss a bid, very seldom. You can set your bids and go on with your day or go to bed and wake up with an eSnipe win on your bid. Super convenient and you can do multiple bids at one time. Hard To Beat! I will continue to use this great service as it has worked like a champ for me.
We're doing a happy dance over here! Thank you for your support and the glowing 5-star review. We'll keep working hard to exceed your expectations at eSnipe.
They don't give a sh*t and when you want to finally cancel the crummy service, they offer a credit for unused points, but then refuse to follow-through. ESnipe started out with potential, but there are so many better sniping services out there now. I think eSnipe was sold a few times and is currently operated by one guy in his underpants in his mom's basement. Try Bidslammer. It's free and uses multiple servers.
Over the last 5 or 6 years, I've been using eSnipe. I can't count how much money they have saved me. I hated putting in bids before going to bed, because they often got topped. I was losing a lot of good cards until I signed up with eSnipe. Also, by last second bidding with eSnipe, you not only save money, but you also stop those shill bidders from bidding up the item. Love, love, love eSnipe!
We're grateful for your 5-star review! It's customers like you that make us love what we do. Thank you for trusting eSnipe with your eBay bidding.
I will do my first snipe with them tomorrow but have had an incredible experience with the customer support. I've been on the phone with Mike for 1 hour and 7 minutes while he answered all my questions, explained to me the inner workings of their servers, the latency (only 200ms +-) and redundancy they have in place. He also explained to me how ebay works and the auction system as well as their statistics when it comes to different buffer times and win percentages. Absolutely incredible.
Your 5-star review is a big boost to our team's morale! Thank you for choosing eSnipe, and we can't wait to help you win even more auctions in the future.
I have used esnipe for over 10 years. There was a point where it did not work on Ebay but it was a problem for ALL the sniping services and it was sorted out in a month or two.
It is great for winning auctions on really hard to find items and to avoid paying too much in a bidding war.
Have used them many times in the past. Always found the service easy and intuitive to use.
Their short buffer allows a better chance of grabbing what you want at a better price. Finally you do not need to sit at your screen waiting and watching and second guessing what is going to happen. If your bid with esnipe is suffictent you improve your chances
Thank you for your fantastic feedback! 🎉 We're so happy to have been part of your auction success! Looking forward to serving you again soon! 💼
I have used eSnipe for many years and it is such a time saver. It also keeps the price of the item down by bidding at the last minute. I have saved so much and it more than makes up for the cost. It is reliable as well.
You've made our day with your kind words and 5-star rating! We're here to make eBay bidding a breeze for you, and we're thrilled to have you as a happy customer.
The more bidders that know about Esnipe, the more it will cost me. Esnipe is the only way I place a bid on Ebay. I get a kick out of watching bidders just run up the cost. Usually the single digit bidders. They have no idea of what their bidding practices just cost them. I like to think about the very most I would be willing to pay for something, enter a bid with Esnipe, and forget about it. If I win a bid, I know I bought if for the least amount possible under the very maximum amount I was willing to spend. Hope this review doesn't cost me money to now smarter bidders.
We're so glad our service met your expectations! Your satisfaction is our top priority, and your feedback keeps us motivated! 💪 Thanks a million! 🎉
I've been using eSnipe for YEARS. The sniping part is great, but I mainly use it because I ALWAYS forget to watch the auctions when they're ending. This way, I'm not bidding up the price. Esnipe catches the ending for me.
We're over the moon 🌙 knowing that our service helped you secure your auction win! Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal! Thank you so much! 🎯
As a 23 year veteran eBayer with over 5,300 purchasres eSnipe has made me a successful buyer. Learning how to utilize such a tool has brought me treasures at a munimum of cost and a saving of time--and worry:-) particularly saving me from anxiety and disappointment (bid what you will and be satisfied, win or lose)! We couldn't be happier to hear you had a great experience! 😊 Your support fuels our passion to keep delivering top-notch service! Thanks a ton! 🙏
I've been using eSnipe for about thirteen years, and I've been very happy with the service. I feel their pricing is quite fair for what they offer, which is a reliable last few seconds bid. I read one review where the reviewer complained about a minimum $1.00 charge for a foreign bid... Seriously? If the extra 75 cents is going to break you, then don't use this service for foreign bids. They also have a maximum charge. So if I am bidding on an automobile or other high priced item, I'm only charged $10.00! That's a great deal compared to me hanging around my computer! Anyway, I've been very impressed with this site and I highly recommend them!
I believe in unfair advantages, at least when it comes to buying stuff on ebay. The competition for some items can be stiff, and esnipe gives me an edge on those things I really, really want or need. You copy the item number from ebay into esnipe and set your maximum bid amount and how many seconds before the end of the auction you want esnipe to place the bid for you. I usually choose 4 seconds. I've only lost a couple of auctions using esnipe, and I suspect the people who won were also on esnipe! And the cost is extremely reasonable! I don't think I've put in more than $10 in years of use, but the amount of bidding you do will determine that.
Pretty neat system if you like to bid in the last seconds on ebay auctions, this does it for you. Plus you don't need to hang around the computer when the auction is ending. I wish their site was a bit more user friendly, but all in all, it's a great service for the price. Keep it up!
The current issue of "there's a problem with your account" is all about eBay.com - I've been an eBay seller/buyer for 10+ years an now having repeated issues of not able to bid and I'm not even an esnipe user (alth. Have used them in past). Its so bad that I cancelled my ebay membership.
I love Esnipe. I have used their services for YEARS, have been grandfathered into certain conveniences, have saved hundreds of dollars and have won approx. 90% of the auctions on which I have bid. The other 10%, I had bid too low or there was a technical difficulty. By golly, if I was accurate and helpful 90% of the time, I'd be a goddess!
Thank you, Esnipe for creating this awesome service, allowing me to bid with confidence, saving me money and releasing me from the need to be tied to my computer screen. I share this site with every single person that, I know, bids on EBay, even my own customers!
Keep up the good work! :)
Answer: Yes you can bid, eSnipe doesn't know or care about your other bids - it only does the last 'snipe' you program it to. But if you do bid on an item you're telegraphing your interest in the item to other bidders. Doing a minimum bid does prevent the seller from modifying the listing so I guess if you want that you can enter your lowest bid and wait for your eSnipe bid to activate at the end of the auction.
Answer: Don't bid at 3 seconds, go 6 or 8 seconds If a bid is the same as yours then that means you bid second and the win goes to the First bidder, you would have waited for the last 3 seconds and become the second bid, Also, you cannot bid below the minimum next bid increment, I know it's we all want to safeguard paying too much but ebay wont charge you more than the minimum increment That only increases after the last bid amount. So go a few bucks more than your instincts or even 10 more, if you need the item because You wont pay over the last minimum increment anyway.
Answer: Yes. However, if eSnipe also places a bid you will be charged "bid points". ESnipe is basically a clone of you. That said, you cannot outbid yourself.
Answer: No, that is not true. I used eSnipe for four eBay auctions last night (and won them all!) And I just placed bid on three more eBay auctions, which end tonight.
Answer: Why don't you ask esnipe about your problem. I have no problems about esnipe and privacy breaches.
Answer: Unless your bowling you must be referring to paypal. You buy in advance user points from esnipe, how you pay them is your business, and you can not buy from ebay unless you have sufficient points.
Answer: The seller will ship the item straight to you. We just place your bid@ the last second. You will pay and enter your shipping information through eBay as usual. Please reach out using the Contact Us button on our website [ https://www.esnipe.com/contact] and include your phone number in your questions. We will be happy to give you a call!
Answer: Sorry for the delayed response. We just recently joined the SiteJabber community. When we created our site, we built it to support multiple auction websites. However, we only support eBay auctions (All of their websites). You can sign up and try our service for free!
Answer: Yes, I do it all the time. So that the seller doesn't think there's no interest and Add a buy it now and have somebody else get it before my bid is placed.
