Ordered an advanced Spanish course quite overpriced but wanted it. Was given a tracking number but from a NON USPS service. Tracking app could not find anything. I emailed them multiple times.their responses were vague which set off my alarm. Finally this morning I received email they're in contact with the shipper. A few minutes later I received a message on Amazon France they considered it lost in transit and were refunding the entire cost...so I'm unable to provide photos as it never arrived. I'm suspicious they never sent it in the first place. I don't trust nor respect them. Reading the many negative comments justifies my distrust.

Bought an Ex library copy of Exiled from Earth. Any book I've purchased without a picture has included a dust jacket unless it specified otherwise. This one didn't, although at $11 in acceptable condition I assumed it would, and I would have just let it go but their email says to contact them if I'm unsatisfied in any way, so I did. That was pointless, as they simply quoted one of their ex-library descriptions, and did nothing else. That is what really irritates me enough to leave this review. On top of this, the email they sent after purchase says the book will ship in 24 hours. It took about a week to ship, not that it matters to me in itself but that's two examples of them just blatantly ignoring their own messaging.

It's refreshing to receive a product that matches its description so accurately. The book was in very good condition, as promised. Ergodebooks takes great care in selecting and describing their inventory, and it shows. The pages were clean, the cover was intact, and there was no sign of wear or damage. I ordered a book which was the atlas component of another book. A previous bookseller got confused and sent me the original book, not the atlas. Previously I had attempted to order the atlas through the inter library loan department of our library and they also received the original book, not the atlas. Consequently, I was very pleased that Ergode Books not only sent me the right book, but also provided excellent customer service. The book was in better shape than described.

The book was completely detached from the cover. A receipt inside the book from the previous company Ergode bought the book from clearly stated this was an issue, but Ergode ignored this and sold the book without any mention of the issue with the cover

Recently, I ordered a classical history book from Ergode Books via ABEBooks. From the description, it was in very good condition and the price was reasonable. However, when they shipped the book, they sent it to a person over 50 miles away using an incorrect address. ABEBooks has been one of my 'go to' used book dealers for year, even before Amazon bought them. My address within the ABEBooks system is correct. I have been in the same home for 27 years, yet Ergode used some other address, perhaps from their own files - I don't know. Following the U.S. Postal Service's tracking system I watched as it went the wrong way. So, anyone doing business with them, I suggest you make a follow up call to them or message them on their FB page.

Takes 12 hours or more to respond to all emails. Does not answer the phone or give factual information in phone calls. I paid for one book and was sent a different one. I've spent a week arguing with them to send me the correct one and they have been unhelpful and told me to just contact Amazon. Amazon can't help me because I didn't purchase from them.

Really bad company to deal with. My book didnt even ship from them. Some guys house in CA. Arrived poorly packed and damaged. Good luck getting a refund. You will get a run around.

Horrible experience with this fraudulent company! Never received my book. Told me they didn't have a tracking number, then told me the book was lost in the mail. They couldn't process my refund due to "technical difficulties." Then I never heard from them again despite continued emails and calls (no one ever answers their phone). Unbelievable!

Same story as everyone, my item got "lost"!

Very bad customer service. I have a strong feeling that they took my money and just never sent my order. And when I asked for a proof of shipment, here is what they said:

"Thanks for your email. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. Unfortunately, the tracking # is not updated with us for this order and we have already contacted our shipping department to contact the shipping company and get the tracking details. Meanwhile, we assume the item may be lost in transit since you have not received it. We would request you to"

Purchased a book on July 5, I contacted them July 8 to request a tracking number and the replied back stating that the post office had managed to damage the book in transit and return it to them all within 2 days.

Do NOT BUY from them.

One of 2 things will happen - you will never get any package, or you will get a completely different book - very poor condition - and weeks after it should have been delivered. These people work by that old adage "there's enough people that I can screw over everyone one time."

I ordered a used paperback book on music theory from Ergode Books. They offered the specific edition I wanted at a competitive price. Most of the other vendors I looked at only offered an older edition lacking the added content for which I was buying this book. The ordering process was as easy as expected, the book arrived on time and it appeared in almost perfect condition. There was a slight crease in the cover, which was perfectly acceptable at the price I paid. I will check out Ergode Books again next time I'm shopping for a book. (BTW, I have no relation to Ergode Books other than being a customer and I was not compensated for this review.)

I found the best deal on a used book I was looking for on Ergode Books. It arrived fast in the mail, and the condition of the book is even better than I expected; it looks brand new.

The site was easy to use, the price of the book was the better than all other sellers carrying the text required; the order was processed without any fuss, and delivery was prompt. Delivery through/by Amazon was also very convenient,
