The company enjoys a strong reputation for exceptional customer service, with numerous reviews praising the professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency of the staff across various locations. Customers consistently highlight the smooth rental process and the quality of the vehicles. However, some concerns arise regarding staff training on company policies, leading to occasional issues like unauthorized charges and vehicle maintenance oversights. Overall, while the majority of feedback reflects high satisfaction and a willingness to recommend the service, addressing training and communication gaps could further enhance the customer experience.

I've been an Enterprise customer for many years and have always had a positive experience, at least until the last couple of months. Considering that I rent from the company at least 2-3 times a month I think that their customer service should be a bit more than what it is. Since I don't own a car I have no personal insurance so I always purchase theirs whenever I rent. No matter how much insurance I purchase from these people there's always something that the insurance doesn't cover. WHO KNEW THAT BUMPER-TO-BUMPER coverage didn't include tires on the vehicle and would I like to purchase some more insurance just in case the tires came off on the road. TALK ABOUT TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN OR TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF. Also at Enterprise (St. Barnabas Rd. MD) they get very upset if you don't drop off the keys and go when you bring the car back. They get angry when you ask them to check the vehicle in and make sure that everything is ok and get the receipt. Who knows what happens to the vehicle between the time you bring it back and the time they rent it to somebody else. I took one back one time and ended up being charged for gas when I had just put gas in it before I took it back. I'm also afraid of the vehicle being damaged just being left in the parking lot and I'm the one charged for it. Young lady at the counter was VERY RUDE. Told her I'd wait for the vehicle to be checked in and she MADE SURE that I had a long wait. Love my Enterprise in Fredericksburg VA. They take the family owned/operated pledge seriously. Never had a problem with them.
On 4/2421 i was incolved in a single car crash i have geico they offered me a rentail car from enterprise
On monday i tried to call but waited 45 minutes and no one came to the phone
I called custoner service and was told that the car was waiting so i went down to north ashley to pick it up by the advice of enterprise. When i got there i went into the office got one step in and a man yelled at me ordering me to " get out i started to ask a question and again i was told to get out and i did
I waited a couple minutes and two employees came out i asked if they ever answered there phone and was told that they were busy i asked about my car and got ssked when did i reserve a car and i said geico made it for me i then got told if i made the reservation that morning that i woulf not get it til the next day i told him it was made sunday and confirmed by enterprise that morning i gave them my reservation number and was told i have to wait two hours and told to go over there
By the looks of the parking lot that was full no space to even park i left i called enterprise customer service who said that they were going to send the complaint up and to the district manager still no call or car my advise to you is stay away from this company unless you want racesim as that is how it felt there was no one there but me and the two enterprise employees so 2 hours to wait was extencive on a 81 degree day and they did hsve a full lot of cars
So glad I was given the opportunity to be restored with good standing, and rent an auto from this location. The staff really works incredibly hard to give terrific upbeat customer care.
No matter how busy the front desk, I'll always appreciate Crystal's genuine concern for me to keep a positive Enterprise experience. Christian made every effort to provide a great car & seamless paperwork.* with a perfect price. I also want to acknowledge the serene confidence from Ms. Lisa's presence.
My Thanks to you, and
the entire Hallandale staff!
Sincerely,
J. M

Jerome Forehand in the office at the Colonial Heights, Va. Location went beyond and over to satisfy his customers. He displayed professionalism across the board. He was very understanding, helpful and had a listening ear. His expertise and knowledge helped me to decide in what I was undecided about. And for that, thank you Jerome!
The lack of organization is totally unprofessional, prepare for inconvenience. I've been waiting for a phone call back for 14 days
I had a car accident in August 2020 and the insurance gave me a rental car from Enterprise all paid by the insurance co. In december 2020 Entreprise sent me an invoice charging me more than U$400. I called my credit card bc I thought it looked like a fraud but on Feb Enterprise charged me again and this time they deducted from my bank account. I'm trying to solve this problem since february with no success at all has been such a headache talking to all the parties envolved collecting documentation I've got all proof and still no answers. I don't recomend this rental company.
The staff is very rude and shady! I highly recommend going with other rent a car agencies!. They will look for any reason to charge you after bringing the car back. If you don't take my advise, i would hope that you take photos of the vehicle prior to renting it. You will need it! I would NEVER rent again from Enterprise or pay them a penny ever again!
Megan at lake sumter landing the villages florida was the only employee that cared enough to help me above and beyond. What she had to do. She was terrific
I've been renting cars since 1996 and because the vice president of the eastern Washington group doesn't like my personality and what I believe, I am on the do not rent list. I don't owe them any money. Never damaged one of their cars, yet because he doesn't like that I believe in God or what I stand for. Enterprise is a racist company. They don't like Christians.
Waiting 3 hours for a car outside in the cold. No service just keep waiting. Employees are not helpful.
Avoid at all cost. Enterprise aka (Enter-a-Surprise) advertise exotic cars at a good rate despite being unavailable only to upsell you at the desk to a car that won't fit your need and/or much higher.
In my case they were sold out of all cars. When I insisted I must get a car (any car) a manager called 911 as a mean of threatening me.
BEWARE - as of Feb 2021, Enterprise (Plantside Dr in Louisville KY) now puts a $300 hold on your card in addition to the rental cost, whether you use a credit card or a debit card. (I'm not sure if it's just this location or nationwide.) We have rented from Enterprise at this location several times in the past and never had issues. However, when renting this time, we found out upon arriving to pickup the rental that they would be putting a $300 hold on our credit card in addition to the $270.61 rental cost. First, it's ridiculous that the amount of the hold exceeded the total amount of the actual rental, but the bigger issue is that there was no mention of a hold or even the possibility of a hold when we reserved the car, nor was there any mention of it in the emails we received from Enterprise. In fact, my reservation confirmation email said the total charge at pickup would be $270.61. It is wrong for a company not to disclose something as significant as this. Had they done so at the time of reservation, I would have rented from a competitor instead - none of which issue such a hold when a customer uses a credit card. Upon returning the rental, I did speak with the manager about my concerns that I was not informed of the $300 hold prior to pickup, but he blamed it on corporate and then just walked away. Individual locations are informed when a customer reserves a rental, and obviously management at this location knows customers are not being notified of the $300 hold; yet there is no effort by Enterprise to contact customers to make them aware of the situation. So I'm making customers aware via this review. This was an inconvenience for me this time, but there were definitely times in the past when I didn't have an extra $300 available on my card and I would've had to leave without my rental. So, to anyone needing a rental car, skip Enterprise. Call other car rental places instead. It was too late for me to do so the day I picked up my rental from Enterprise because we needed to leave town within the hour, but I did call around to other car rental places before returning the car and found several places that do not place any such hold when using a credit card. I definitely will no longer be renting from Enterprise. Also, I noticed some reviews were concerned with vehicle mileage. If it matters to anyone, our vehicle had over 41,000 miles on it - a bit much for a rental.
Car was not ready for pickup. After waiting 15 minutes outside to drop off the car. I went in. Finally someone came out and immediately told me inside was closed. After getting attitude, they then found "damage" on the car which wasn't damage at all. When calling I waited over an hour to speak to someone to dispute the charge.
I gave one star because of a girl names Meg in the Reseda branch, who was so so rude to me today. At first, she said she had one or 2 car for rent, but it's $65/day. I accepted, and waited for half an hour to get that car. After half an hour, she said I don't have any car, and I'm sorry, while their parking was full of cars for rent. She was so so rude talked to me and I also will complain to her manager!
Never go to her! She's so rude with customers! Zero star for her
I rented a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I had to go pick up my family from Kansas City and I needed a bigger car for luggage and all. My pick up was 9:00 am sharp and that was the earliest slot available to pickup. I booked the car almost a week or 2 ago. And the night before my pick up, I got a call from Enterprise guy and he told me that they don't have any vehicle available and told me to book a car from Hertz or Alamo or any other car rental services.
If you don't want to stuck in last minute cancellation and get stranded or don't want to get hammered by last minute rental coz of cancellation, avoid Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
I will say Enterprise Might-Rent-A-Car.
GARBAGE! I went to the Lantana location and dealt with Louise Williams, who was very uneducated on her products and how to properly tell the customers what they are signing. I guess she just wants to make a bonus? Also, Joshua is the WORST "Area" Manager because "he only does email"... hahaha, what type of "Manager" only does email? They STOLE money from me and charged my card without permission. If someone even tries to deny this from your incompetent team of disrespectful employees, I will put up the receipts. You're disgusting. STEALING MONEY DURING COVID! GROSS!
I usually don't go out of my way to review, even when the service is less than stellar. Unfortunately, after dealing with Enterprise on two separate occasions and having two vacations ruined because of them, I feel I have to give a head's up to those consumers that are considering renting through Enterprise. On two separate occasions I made reservations, more than two weeks before needed date. I even called a few days before, to confirm vehicle availability. On both occasions I was reassure the reserved vehicle would be available to honor my reservation. And ironically enough, on both occasions I was notified hours prior to pick up, that the reserved vehicle was not going to be available. This caused two separate family vacations to be ruined. If you are thinking of renting from this company, please have a back up plan. I learned my lesson, hope my experience helps you reconsider and encourages you to find another rental company! Good luck!
I booked a reservation via Expedia with Enterprise, purchased insurance. When I picked up vehicle, I was charged again for insurance, rep did not bother to check if purchased prior or not. Due to over charging, I was charged an overdraft fee by my bank. Complaints were filed in re, a Joy requested to speak with me via manager at location in question, we spoke at location over the phone while picking up another vehicle on reservation... She made a veiled threat saying by going online and making complaints, it can effect ability to make future reservations with them. She also attempted to state by using my debit card, I can be charged an overdraft fee, never mind the fact I was overcharged. I had to agree to what she stated, otherwise, I would not be able to rent from that location again I filed complaints about this, remain unresolved.
If I could give all of the enterprise's car rental a 0 stars I would. Enterprise is a joke they are the worst places to rent a car from so please don't waste your time, your energy and your money. Especially the one in Ledgewood and Augusta NJ. Also if you ever come across Samantha Aka Sam she is the most racist ugly witch I have ever met. She have the most negative energy fake as hell and a huge drama queen or king she kind of look like a he/she. She is extremely unprofessional not just her but everyone I have deal with at enterprise seems to be extremely unprofessional, rude, and they think they own the place. They all need an attitude adjustment or corporate should give all of them a class on how to treat the customers. If they don't change there attitude enterprise will lose a lot of customers. I also notice that. Enterprise doesn't have a lot of Spanish or black workers working there majority of them are white so that should tell you about the company no diversity whatsoever or just plain old racist douchbags.
They would get no stars if I could. I will never be renting from Enterprise again. I got a rental car on January 28th, looked it over nothing looked out of place. The next day after only driving it to work and home I noticed a scratch on the car and a plastic piece behind the tire was cracked. I proceeded to call them to see if the damage was already reported, it was not so I went to work to watch the camera to see if maybe it happened in the parking lot and was not told about it, the cameras came back fine and it was not here. I notified them of this and they let me know that I would have to pay my $500 deductible so that they could fix the damage. IF this was me that did the damage I would 100% pay for it, but it was not and many people looked over it that are mechanics and have told me there is no way that this was fresh. I've spoken to the store and I've spoken to corporate with nothing resolved or not even a return phone call except to ask me when I would be returning the car. StateFarm who recommended them to me is aware, and not happy about the situation and I even talked to the people who are working on my car and they also agree with me. At this point, I will be letting everyone know how unhappy I am with the customer service.
Answer: They do not respond to complaints. Which is kind of frustrating when you have a complaint.
