The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

They refused to cancel my membership when l saw the matches they sent even after extending filters! A scam! Horrible experience
I didn't care for eHarmony at all. The matches were extremely limited in my area. After a year of not using the service, my bank account news automatically charged with no reminder of the subscription renewal. EHarmony refused to reimburse me after several attempts since I don't use the app. They have no customer care number and you can only contact them via email or chat. I highly recommend to avoid eHarmony and simply use a free dating app. I've had much better luck.
Absolute waste of time and money! Horrible customer service. Tried to cancel within the grace period and they refused only to tell me to lower my expectations! Really?
As a paying member thy send you very few so called matches 80 percent of which have no picture.
Don't give these scumbags your credit card they are a complete ripoff!
Please don't fall for their marketing scam. If you get on there you are hooked in for at least six months. What a waste of money. The only person who liked me was a 74 year old invalid and I am an attractive fit 68 year old woman who recently lost her husband. If they were legitimate they would refund your money, but they aren't!
I cancelled my auto renewal shortly after I paid for this site, but it wasn't recognized nor did I get a confirmation letter of cancellation. They charged me two years in a row, which nothing was ever refunded. Do not pay for this site, it's UN-exciting anyway. Too much work put in and nothing gained. POF is a gold mine, comparing to eharmony!
Dont ever trust any of these sites, they are terrorist owned, and spread the word all over the world, please I beg you too help the fight against these entities, trust me on this. I hope they die. We have to stop this now, right now trust me on this. Henry gonzalez
Total waste of good money... no matches - TOLD TO CHANGE PREFERENCES but noone could say WHY I had to change my preferences... the matches can't contact you because they are not full members so you are the carrot to get those people to buy a membership - utter rubbish... DON'T BUY!
I got a few matches for the first 2 months, then for the next four months - nothing! That's with a Premium membership! I cancelled automatic renewal.
I, unfortunately, thought eHarmony was going to be different. I had tried Match and Zoosk, and thought, I will try the one that states, "they are the best at finding your true love." Not true!
After starting my subscription, I realized the dating site was, in fact, less than what they advertise. I would happily go back to Match or Zoosk as their service is at least as good if not better. Unfortunately, for me and many others, you cannot get out of your subscription. I was four days into my subscription when I requested a refund. I do not wish to continue their services, but they do not care. Finding your true love is not their priority. Stealing your money under the sham of finding your connection based on your personality is their guide. Don't be fooled by eHarmony. Facebook dating does a better job a matching for free.
Eharmony drew me in as a client via their promotional low-priced package, which I happily committed to and paid for that 6-month period. What I didn't realize is that they will auto-renew my subscription without my consent and without allowing me to retroactively receive a refund (a common practice by 99% of online businesses). My credit card even flagged their charge as fraudulent. All they will refund is "a one time courtesy" of 50% off. Super annoyed because any decent company with sneaky auto renew features ALWAYS extend the courtesy of a refund. Never again with e-harmony, tons of better/free apps out there.
I joined eharmony because I was under the impression there would be a better crop of men looking for serious relationships than on other sites. 90% of the men who contacted me lived hundreds of miles away so dating was impossible. By contact I generally got nothing more than a thumbs up or smiley face emoji. From gown men... emojis instead of words. My profile specifically asked for a mesasage to start the ball rolling to get to know each other. The one guy I did end up chatting with lived 2 hours away from me and can't leave his home due to an ankle monitor for a serious crime. This is an expensive site that offers the same riff raff as the less expensive sites. Save your money, expect that most guys no matter how old just want in your pants, and Google him before you meet so there's no surprises.
Like many other people i got scammed by e harmony i want to start a class action law suit against this company for fraud are there any people who have been scammed that want to teach these scammers that they cant get away with it
Why does it take 6 months to find your perfect match? Why do they not offer less than 6 months of subscriptions? Because this site is NO good. Way TOO many match profiles sent without face pictures and poor local selection of possible matches. Activity is extremely low and uninviting.
EHarmony customer support is absolute garbage. Within 24 hrs of signing up and paying for a subscription I knew it wasn't for me. I am on the other dating apps and the selection of people is way better on every other app. I signed up for Eharmony because I bought into their advertising and thought I could find someone more compatible through the app. Immediately I saw that the selection of people that live in my vicinity is minimal - and the stupid app keeps suggesting people who live far away. The compatibility score/algorithm is accurate on a few things and way off on others. So after 24 hrs I sent a request to cancel my subscription saying it wasn't for me. I got a response from a customer service rep saying nope you're on the hook for the yearly subscription. I responded with the reasons why I wanted to cancel and said it was within 24 hrs of signing up. Another customer rep got in touch to say they reviewed the other customer service reps decision and nope no refund for you! And they both pointed out the obscure terms of reference that says nope you're screwed because we are a predatory company that will screw you over if you try to get a refund for legitimate reasons. The selection of people in my area is pathetic and I live in a major urban centre. I despise Eharmony and their garbage customer service.
Waste of money I feel taken. One its not cheap, two I did not find one person attractive and on top of it 17% ofmy matches had no photos! So disappointed.
I signed up and paid $482, only to discover that there were no possible matches for me in my area - no men in my age/religious range. I immediately asked for a refund, but EHarmony never processed my refund. It has been 10 months and they kept my money and, when I inquired about going on the site again (to get my money's worth) they said no and sent me a 20 page legal document saying they owe me no money or time on the site. Very disreputable and taking advantage of an 80 year old widow.
As a single female, I have tried Match.com and wanted to try eHarmony. Don't make that mistake. The website fails to provide compatible men to me. I thought eHarmony while more expensive was more selective and I would find men that were more closely matched. This is not the case. The men that were shown to me were few in number and clearly not selected based on my likenesses. EHarmony is in my opinion not a solution for on-line dating and I sure wish I could get my money back. No chance of that.
This was a very expensive mistake on my part. First, I live in a heavily populated metropolitan area and the number of women within 45 miles was next to nil. Second, after taking the time to sincerely answer 70+ questions, the matches I received were not a match for me. I am heavy into physical fitness and I was being matched with women 70-100lbs over weight who had no interest in fitness. Not saying this is a bad thing, but just the matching algorithms are poor to say the least. Third, the activity on this site in my area was really bad. A lot of old profiles with little to no activity. After a couple of weeks on this site, I can see why. This site is a borderline scam. If they stood behind their product and offered a no questions asked money back guarantee, they would be out of business tomorrow.
This is a horrible dating website. I was blown away of the catch to get you to pay monthly. Once I realized it was too late. I was only 5 days in & saw it would be well over $300 for 6 months. The site found NO matches of interest. I very nicely said I would $77.00 for the 1st installment but please cancel the 3 other payments. They declined & were horrible to me. There is so much more but I am too frustrated with this site. You kind better luck, prefecences & cheaper sites. DON'T USE THIS SITE!
When you sign up, they alert you that at the end of your subscription they will automatically renew you for $780 for a full year. I had no intention of renewing so I turned off the renewal button. Just like the 1000 other people on the Better Business Bureau, my renewal button mysteriously turned on and I was charged $780. They refused to refund my money. They don't send you a reminder email. They tried for 7 days to charge my account. By the 8th day my pay check cleared and they took the money. I never got notifications emails of insufficient funds from them. They used sneaky tactics to take the money. I've reported it to the Better Business Bureau. If I get satisfaction I will update my review.
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
