What a waste of money! I'm paying for a service that gives little to no results. Matches that are more than 150 miles away and several states away. Send smiles, messages and get no response. Sent more than one smile and 2 messages and now not allowed to send another message. After 2 months, hardly a match a week. Have had a meet you for coffee and waited 30 minutes and NO SHOW! Had another meet you for coffee and it just didn't work out. Biggest disappointment is no response to messages sent!

You need to fill up a questionnaire to sign in and try the services and site. The minute you do that you will be charged £65 just by filling the questionnaire. It is a clause 11.3 on their policy where they ignore your 14 trial days and you are forced to pay for it. If the website delivers what they promise you don't need to cancel it, right? Very few profiles (around 100ish) and no more updates till new members join in and you are paying and waiting for new members as they have a very limited offer. Not surprised why now, PUT YOUR MONEY ON ANOTHER SITE THAT WILL TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT AND APPRECIATION. TOTAL SCAM

I have purchased the account for 12 months and all I got was fake, fake, fake, fake, fake, fake. Profiles, when I reached out to them to cancel my account and get my money back they said it's not possible

Just an awful app. There is so few matches in your area to start. The app itself is useless and put off date. It buffers and doesn't load. Then when you contact their customer service team they keep telling you to uninstall and reinstall the app. When you decide (very quickly) this isn't worth the ridiculous amount of money being charged and try to cancel, you will be informed that it isn't possible as per their terms and conditions.

This service may only work if you live in a large city or densely populated area. For us that live outside the city, it is worthless and ridiculously expensive. I had only 2 matches relatively close to me, the rest were anywhere from 3 to 5 hours away. Just imagine, driving 10 hours to date someone. That's not dating, that's a vacation!
Further, no reasoning is accepted by this company, once you sign, you pay, no matter what. Forget cancellations, it doesn't matter if the product does not fit you or does not apply to your lifestyle.
Don't waste your money, find other alternatives or a more consumer-friendly service.

Many of the 'matches' are fake. Requesting a refund after 3 days realising this I was ignored and then had the withheld payments sent to a debt collector.

This company is incredibly dodgy and not at all genuine or honourable. Stay away from them and stick to other dating sites that are free and offer better and more genuine profiles.

This company is purely about making money!

I wonder how long they go between algorithmic tweaks. And are they even vetting people? The matches I received were terrible, at best. Most of my matches had lower education than I was looking for, and several of the matches were really not interested in anything long term. I wasted so much time & money. And if you want out at the end of your paid commitment, you'd better call and get someone live on their end to terminate your account or you will be auto renewed. I thought I had ended my account, but it kept jumping back to renew after I'd save & close the app. What a pain. Totally not worth the time, effort, or money. I've had much better success elsewhere & I'm no longer looking thanks to their main competitor.

I would never recommend this site to anyone. Match is much better. Horrible filter mechanism and not enough people to find ones that are interesting to you. I tried to cancel the first day (was willing to pay for 11/12 months) and got nowhere over than they gave me three months free at the end. I was like "let me get this straight - you want to give me more of the very thing I am trying to get out of". Horrible experience overall for me and will never go back.

This company prey on lonely people and the small print which you feel you'd be safe agreeing to, is a big scam. If you cancel even after a few minutes they charge you extra straight from your bank account. No time passes it's gone. Stay far away! This company changed hands, is no longer honest, & WILL scam you via your credit card for ongoing "renewals," even if you turn off their auto renew feature. Supposedly if you email them (enough times?) stating you are canceling your subscription and never want to renew, they will stop the insanity? But we've seen plenty of negative reviews showing otherwise. In our experience, & our friend whom they also ripped off for nearly $750, it's wiser to actually CANCEL your credit card. In fact, note the many negative reviews on Better Business Bureau. This terrible, devious company was sued and lost big time in 2018…but continues their web of lies. You'll see fake Eharmony reviews too by supposedly independent websites out there. Hate to say it, but we wonder if recent scam purchases on our card that appear unrelated to eharmony, are actually related. Disgusting. A smart lawyer or two could put these creeps behind bars.

After even brief interaction with the site, it became clear that it has very poor matching algorithms and a small dating pool of relevant candidates. Other dating sites in, even without a paid subscription, offer much more relevant matches, and i got a much better response rate on other sites. Importantly, most other sites, offer 1-month subscription, whereas eHarmony locks you for 6 months. They probably do it because they know that nobody would come back after 1 month.
I made the mistake of getting 6 months membership because i found an article eHarmony's own website about 14-day cool-off cancellation policy. The article is highly misleading because this cool-off policy applies only to UK, but the article never mentions it.
Overall, i would not recommend getting a subscription there at all!

I made the mistake of paying for a subscription and it was not worth it! It only lets you see profiles your matched with, therefore limiting your search. You're basically stuck with the same matches until someone new subscribes. I wanted a refund after a day, and they told me they don't give refunds. I was so upset! Trust me, do not pay for a dating site. They have the same quality matches on any free site. Or better yet, meet someone in the real world. And worse of all, the site is very cheap looking. EHarmony and Elite singles are all scammers. DON'T DO IT!

I first joined bbw. Date, and that was a horrible experience, people like you then never respond to you? So many fake accounts with alternative agendas? I then tried largefriends.com a little better but pretty much the same crap. Keep in mind this sites do cost less and have no contracts like eHarmony does. EHarmony, on the other hand does appear to be more legitimate. Although I'm not sure about their point system. I'm an overweight male, and they match me up according to points, so naturally I get passed up a lot :(. Again it still seems like the most legitimate dating site. It's expensive, and they require contracts, I was able to land a sweet deal at 18 per month for 12 months. My advice is join for free and sit back and wait a few days as there discount offers begin to tumble in to get you to sign up. I have been able to communicate with 2 people and both are real :).

Please do not waste your time or money using eharmony. I got ripped off for $179. There's almost zero local participation. I'm thinking that people join and the site keeps their pictures. I signed up in July, did all the test questions and ZIP!... There are "free sites" that offer 10X's more activity

I went for a 3 day free trial and I noticed that everyday is the same thing! Nobody is looking at my profile. Ever since America has been interested in KPop and losing themselves to ridiculous nonesense with BTS... That is when American girls of this millennial era don't have any culture at all and that is the main reason why guys like me are hopping on a plane to find foreign girls that have culture and good taste in music. The real American girls are from the 1940-1960's... not in this time. Maybe if I was a white boy or white from Europe maybe these ridiculous American woman will notice my profile and that goes for British woman on this site. I'm not surprised that American woman are like this. Seems like American woman are always looking down or giving us attitude towards us black mixed people for some odd reason... So I'm not surprised by my experiences with American girls on this site. American girls are so predictable like white on rice. Expect a lot of closes from these white loving girls. I will just look for a foreign woman in the country after this covid dating. As soon as my 3 day is over... I'm deleting my profile and will not return anymore. Foreign girls(excluding English girls) are so much better and don't look at us down for being black. I will just go for a foreign girl that has culture and has at least balls to communicate with a black mixed guy.

Eharmony is a basic service. Once you pay, you can't cancel. Their customer service is the worst. They are horrible and are not in the industry to help their customers.
Save your money and stay away from them.

Do not waste your time and money on this site. I thought this was a reputable site. I joined the and first guy that they match me with total freak, turned from stacker to psycho to crier! Second guy started out fine wee had a few text conversation and he then started telling me he loved me, could not live with out me WHAT! After a couple of texts! I told him how I felt and he would not stop texting...
I realized this site was a fraud and requested my money back... Good luck with that. I have sent several e-mails and I keep getting this bot emails back that do not even address the issue I am writing about.

If you are in your 30s, take care of yourself physically, eat healthy and are successful career wise I would say do not, I repeat do not pay for this BS. They totally cage the app so that you have to pay about $300 no matter what. My mom swears by eHarmony but she used it in Los Angeles which I'm sure has a better database. I live in Boise Idaho and I will tell you that there is no potential matches anywhere in this area and even in the surrounding areas. It's pretty depressing and I am so upset that I have to pay because of the contract. If I was able to actually see pictures for the free version I would have never paid. Although the free apps (hinge and bumble) are exhausting as well, they actually give you some quality people and better conversations that I had at all on eHarmony. Don't make the same mistake i did. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR EHARMONY!
