This experience is a perfect example of how to make yourself feel worthless. Zero responses after 6 months. Even when I tried reaching out there were no replies. Are the guts being shown to me even actually on the site?

Joined on 4th if April. I was in contact with another profile. Upon messaging back and forth. He was then blocked by E-harmony stating a fake profile that he made references that were inappropriate. I honestly don't know what happened, and why he was blocked. I'm totally unhappy about this situation and want a refund from any further payments. They've locked me into their service and won't refund my money. I did, however, cancel the automatic renewal. I do not trust this site. My credit card from Merrick Bank was used and charged $40.39 this month and will be charged $40.39 per month until October 2023. Anyone looking to use their services, walk away.

What a rip off!
May 30, 2022

Signed up for their 3 month subscription. Contacted 52 women with not one response. Everything they advertise about the website is a lie! Don't waste your money. I think it's sick you take advantage of desperate people for their money.

Having already given a review of eHarmony I feel compelled to further comment as an active member on the site. I have taken the trouble to experiment with the ways it operates and the sheer dishonesty of its claims. Narcissism and greed go hand in hand and eHarmony is a prime example, non existent profiles, blatant ignorance and disregard for members requirements, condescending and disrespectful feedback from brainwashed operators, polite but sadly mislead, I could cancel my contract but I will see it through simply to study the extent of this company's brutal exploitation of people's vulnerability against the site's complete lack of conscience... Christianity indeed!

Dead site
December 15, 2019

They don't have anyone willing to spend $300 on their lousy dating site so there are no people to communicate with. Most gave up on eharmony want moved to free sites. Might have been a decent app long ago, but now it's just dead.

I would rate e harmony 0 ratings. I bought a 6 months subscriptions last year. Every month they charged my credit card and then sent me few matches that did not quite was what I expected, no one sent me any email or respond, no connections or dates. I started to receive creepy photos and unfiltered profiles which made me feel frustrated. Some photos were men without shirts on and creepy looks. Don't join this dating site, they are a scam!

I did manage to meet some good contacts, but none within 200 miles! Many were even in other states! Even though I set my contact radius at 50 miles I realized their algorithm was not going to match me with anyone close. In talking with a girl friend in my city I discovered she was having the same results. We had very similar match characteristics and were never offered to each other. There had to be quite a few eHarmony clients here that eHarmony would not match me with simply because with distant matches they could keep me subscribed. I don't know if any match services will give you honest service, but you should not get sucked into their subscription scheme!

Eharmony are a scam!
October 1, 2019

They are very quick to take your money but will not provide a refund even when they do this in error! Shocking company. The majority of profiles are fake, well in Australia anyway... don't use it! Go somewhere else more activity, more responsible companies.

Yes! Stay Away!
February 15, 2020

This website may work for some. But, unless you are wealthy and exceptionally and conventionally attractive, forget getting matched with functional dates. Or matched at all. This site conducts a kind of fraud. Don't endorse them by signing on and handing over your money.

EHarmony matched me with a fake profile and scammer. Beware of Michael Bauer originally from Cincinnati relocated to Ft. Smith, AR. Widower and engineer working on military contract overseas (Turkey). Will groom you for as long as it takes. Will play your heartstrings then go for your wallet.

Feeling good about eHarmony, been using the site for around a month and have a date set up with a really nice girl. A bit nervous to be honest as last date I had was through wejustfit.com a few weeks after I split with my ex girlfriend in March. Check the site out and run some searches, if you get good results then you'll be setting dates up like me in no time at all. Well worth it! Exciting times!

Also sending spam emails to my husband 's emails, so disgusting that people can't have the right to choose what they want on their own email it's an invasion of your rights.
Hope other people feel the same.
How can it be stopped

It's a crack head business, absolute scam and rip off! They have taken to misleading their customers, using fake photos, bots, encouraging all kinds of scammers. There is no background check. Scammers are never banned. They have made several attempts to put unauthorized charges on my bank account. Cancelling your membership is a real challenge. So just avoid this site, it's not worth a minute of your time!

There's a lot to like about the online dating experience provided by eHarmony. I call it my Volvo site because it may not be the most stylish or what the cool kids are using, but its damn reliable. In fact, the only other dating experience that comes close in terms of arranging regular dates for me is wejustfit.com. But otherwise, you'll struggle to find a site as consistent. That's what I've found anyway.

Too many ghost accounts, very few active accounts, and way overpriced. Had the service for three months, met two women for a few dates each, out of 500 "matches". Talked with maybe 10 women in total.

It's just not worth it. I paid for a full subscription, and was completely disappointed by the lack of active accounts on the site. If eharmony can not find a way to clear out these old accounts or at least remove them from the matching list, then honestly, it's just a waste of time and money.

I thought paying for a subscription would limit me to only matches who are serious about finding a relationship. Eharmony failed in this regard.

Keep your money, and spend your time doing something else.

Don't waste your $$
August 20, 2016

Despite filling out a very detailed list, asking for non- drinkers within 30 miles of my home, I'm getting referrals for nothing but drinkers who live as far as two states away. Even after I take the time to delete them as options, eharmony sends them all over again as new matches day after day. Do NOT waste your money.

Scam
November 20, 2023

I signed up for what I thought was a month, only to be billed over $200. Read the fine print. It is impossible to call them so I left an email explains my plight and they said no refunds. I am attractive, thin and realistic. I have had very little activity and believe there are a lot of bots there as literally no one responds. It's a scary place. I don't recommend it at all.

Do Not Bother Wasting your Money and Time on Eharmony. What a joke and pathetic site. I subscribed 3 months ago, and even with the 5 daily matches they pick for you, none were in my state, much less compatible. None ever sent messages, and I am a very attractive young woman, so attracting men has never been an issue for me. When I mentioned this site as worthless in my profile, I was sent a ridiculous email from some representative, stating I should broaden my search base, like they tell everyone. Again, save yourself time, money, and frustration and don't sign up for Eharmony. What a joke!

You expose yourself to all sorts of scam when you join them, especially fake profiles, automatic renewals at an outrageously expensive rate or sudden ban for no reason. You would have better luck on any other platform. There are bunch of legit sites without all these tricks and hassles. EHarmony don't offer any real service and don't produce any results. By "results" I mean at least dates in real life. Most of the profiles have fake photos and lie about their location. On top of that, there are bots who "drop you a message" now and then just to keep you interested and hooked.

E Harmony has the worst sign-up and cancellation policy they automatically renew your subscription and never send a reminder. When you sign up there is no option for a fixed term! I forgot to cancel less than a week and noticed on my visa, they will not refund my money and it was 578.34 for a year, a total rip-off. Outdated site, much better sites to try Bumble or Hinge or even Match. No one uses this site please don't use it.
