Both Iberia and eDreams have some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had ordered a plane ticket from Paris to Madrid and noticed within 5 minutes of the order that there was a mistake. My computer for whatever reason had switched my name to Jared Paul (my middle name) and not Jared Vigil (my actual name) with the autofill feature. Again, it was within 5 minutes of the purchase so I gave eDreams a call. I was told that they can only change 3 letters and that even my small last name of Vigil would not be allowed to be corrected. I was then told to call Iberia and see if they could do anything about it. Classic shifting the responsibility back and forth onto the other company and leaving the customer getting hit back and forth like a game of tennis. Iberia told me they could do nothing about it but their company would end up penalizing eDreams for not providing a good enough service. I doubt that will actually happen. I ended up calling each company back for a span of two hours probably trying to get this issue resolved. Eventually, I thought for sure my problem would be fixed when eDreams said they would be able to fix my problem if Iberia simply sent them an email saying it was okay to change my name. Apparently a simple email was too much to ask for as I was told Iberia doesn't send any information by email which is a total joke. How would anything get done at the company without using email as a way to convey information? They send flight confirmation emails, so a simple email with a few words saying "yes, you can change the name" doesn't seem like such a crazy ask. But no, just typical garbage customer service on both their ends. I eventually had to cancel my flight and rebook losing out on $90 of airfare for such a silly mistake. My journey began when I booked a flight through Kayak, trusting that your platform would facilitate a smooth and reliable transaction. To my surprise, I was redirected to a website called eDreams during the booking process. This unexpected transfer of services was not disclosed upfront, and it caused confusion and a lack of transparency regarding my booking.
After making the decision to cancel my flight due to unforeseen circumstances, I followed the necessary steps outlined by eDreams to initiate the cancellation and refund process. Unfortunately, what followed was a series of frustrating experiences and unfulfilled promises. Every time I reached out to eDreams for assistance, they provided vague responses and continually evaded providing a concrete solution to my request.
The lack of responsiveness and the runaround I have received from eDreams has not only wasted a significant amount of my time and effort but has also caused me unnecessary stress and frustration. As a customer, I expected a higher level of support and accountability from both Kayak and eDreams.
I kindly request that Kayak intervene in this matter and assist me in resolving the situation promptly. It is my belief that as the platform through which I initially made the booking, Kayak bears responsibility for ensuring the satisfactory resolution of any issues that arise.
I am hereby requesting the following actions to be taken to address this matter:
1. Facilitate direct communication with a representative from eDreams who possesses the authority to address and resolve my refund request without further delay.
2. Advocate on my behalf to eDreams, ensuring that they honor their refund policy and process my refund in a timely manner.
3. Review and improve the transparency of the booking process, ensuring that customers are fully informed about any third-party involvement and potential complications that may arise.
I trust that Kayak, as a reputable platform, values its customers and is committed to providing excellent service. I sincerely hope that you will take my complaint seriously and work towards resolving this matter promptly. Answer: Dont believe them. They are a scammer company and just tried to scam me out of my funds. Contact your Credit Card company and file a dispute. SDreams methodology is to frustrate you until you give up from wasting so much time and they get to keep our money. Your Credit Card issuer is on your side and will revers the charges
Answer: Yes I would like to participate in a class action law suit against this company who has no customer service or any way to get money back! I lost $5807 to this fraudulent company and want it back
Answer: I have the same issue. There is no help (from them) available. I gave up calling after three months... which I am sure most people do; they count on this. The savings is modest with their pricing; and hey charge for rescheduling. I rescheduled and after three months still have not received my new ticket. After many phone calls (the wait is VERY LONG to be connected to someone) I gave up; they count on you giving up. An expensive lesson - do not use them.
