Three times removed

I booked a flight from Berlin July 12. It was booked through Aer Lingus. The flight was canceled because of a pilot strike in Ireland. Aer Lingus re-booked the flight through British Airways and when I arrived at the airport I found that my flight from LHR to PHL was canceled as well. That re-booking was for the next day late afternoon and I missed my mother's birthday celebration. I was interested in receiving some kind of reimbursement for this huge delay but there are no records that the airlines or Edreams will share that I can send to Air Help.
