I tried to start an account with edgepark and things went south quick. They caled the wrong doc even after I provided correct name, address and both his phone and fax. I used my time to call my doc and edgepark to investigate only to receive a rude CS person. Long story short his smart $#*! attitude caused the order to cancel and I signed up with a competitor.
I've been doing business with this terrible third-party vendor called EdgePark medical who is selected by your insurance company as the supplier of your durable medical equipment for type one diabetics whether it be your Dexcom, G6 sensor and transmitter or whether it be your Medtronic insulin pump MMT-332A Reservoirs 3ml or MMT-378 Silhouette 23"
I'm trying to find someone who has a connection to begin a class action lawsuit against his company who purposely disregarding your health insurance providers protocols for type one diabetics and insulin pump supplies where Dr notes are not required to send out your durable medical equipment, and this company takes 3 to 6 weeks Every time you place in order to fulfill your order of which you're entitled to one order every three months. Because they take so long for this process. What they've purposely done is not allowed the Customer to get their fourth quarter order once save met their co-pay out of pocket deductible and then are able to get this equipment. Parts at your 80% coverage or at your 100% coverage and they push you into a new year where you now have to pay your full out-of-pocket co-pay deductible again.
They have been doing this for years and years and years. And as much as I try to get my cases escalated all they continue to tell me is we go based on when we shipped. The item. I have conference called in Humana insurance. I have conference called in UnitedHealthcare insurance.
And no matter what I've tried. I can't get it resolved. So now I'm having my insurance company direct me to different providers to where I could get better service. My order of January 11. The transmitter should have shipped on December 10 along with my three boxes of sensors. My order of reservoirs of October 11. That order was placed on September 9 and should have shipped on September 13 by pushing it out to October. It does not allow me to get my order in December.
EdgePark has been doing this for years and years and years taking Thousands of customers to the Cleaners, and making them pay more money. And I really think someone who's in the legal field and dealing with the same issues. Should help me start a class action suit against them.
Thank You! And God bless you one to know Buyer. Beware of EdgePark medical and how they do Business once you Google review them. The owner of the company responds of how sorry he feels and how they're going to look into it and know whenever contacts you either by phone or email, and then you can no longer respond to that post And State that no one ever contacted you. You're locked out of being able to make any further comments.
EdgePark Review
I've been dealing with EdgePark as a type one diabetic durable, medical supplier on & off for over 15 years over the past four years. This company has done everything and it's Power to make sure that customers are not able to purchase their fourth-quarter supplies once they've met their out of pocket co-pay for the year and to be able to get the product at a much lesser Price. I've been trying to bring this up to them over the past two years, and they choose not to listen to their Customer because they make more money by not listening to the Customer. My insurance company, United healthcare on a three-way conference call. Explain to them that United healthcare does not require Dr notes for type one diabetic for insulin pump supplies that those supplies could be shipped out per EdgePark. Standards of three days after the orders place. The agent we spoke to said we're very sorry. But we have our procedures and we required documentation which is weird because they get a contract from your healthcare provider to fulfill your healthcare provider. Customers needs, so how a third-party distributor can override that and mess up the customers availability to buy their fourth quarter supplies and a much reduced Price is beyond me. It's criminal and should be considered a class action lawsuit.
This review is only speaking about durable, medical insulin pump, supplies for A type one diabetic i'm not discussing any other diabetic supplies, which have different standards
Because of the poor Customer support. I finally chose to start getting my supplies through my local, Pharmacy at a much reduced price contracted through my healthcare provider. I recommend other people who read this to look at your option on getting your supplies whether it be type one, Diabetes, insulin pump, blood glucose, monitoring system, kits or anything. It is cheaper to go through your Pharmacy than it is through EdgePark.
And some of these items are offered through your Home delivery, Pharmacy company
Just to add a last-minute comment. Three weeks ago, I was having. My IV patches sent to me, and again I've already met. My out-of-pocket, Copy and EdgePark. Charged my account $1140 for my Dexcom sensors & patches When I didn't have to pay anything, because I've already met my out-of-pocket co-pay it took me five days of arguing with the billing department to get my money back that I needed for Christmas presents four days before Christmas
I was on the phone for 56 minutes on 20 December. Trying to get my money back.
Edgepark medical services has the worst customer service ever you call Lynn they transfer you to the wrong department you call Lynn they put you on hold after you've given all your medical information to them and while on hold someone else answers the phone and then ask you for all the same information again and then they take so long and reviewing all your medical history information that at the end of the fourth quarter when you're supposed to get all your supplies for free, they prolong the review so that you're now into the out-of-pocket co-pay again unfortunately, the insurance company picks who your suppliers are for durable medical and you have no saying it and can't purchase it anywhere else and it's just a terrible healthcare system that we live in and live with edgepark is one of the worst DONT TRUST EDGEPARK
My insurance company has required I use Edgepark Medical Supply for my insulin pump supplies for over 6 years(50+ orders). They have failed EVERY SINGLE TIME to deliver as agreed. They either don't ship at all or ship months late, but they always charge on time. Any one you speak to is trained to lie and say whatever will get you off the phone the quickest with no intent to help or provide service. After waiting 6 weeks past my shipping date on my latest order and Edgepark is still telling a different lie every time(9 so far), I give up. I would rather stop using my insulin pump than continue with this company and so that is what I have done. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I have been using the libre sensor since the 14 day was the newest, about 6 years ago. I moved up to the Libre3 and now the Libre3 plus. For the last two years I have had issues getting the sensors billed properly. I have a Medicare advantage plan that carried zero co pay. Most of the bills I would get said I owed the full amount as the insurance company did not allow coverage because of the way it was billed, at least that's what the billing excuse was. So every month or three I would be on the phone with insurance and then Edgepark for at least an hour to get it straightened. Now since early September, Edgepark keeps telling me 'order is in process' on the website and calls to them would tell me the same. So I said ok enough of this. I had my doctor send a script to a local DME that I used to get the old libre from. It took me less than a week to get my order filled, no co pay and no other delays. I am now using my local DME Transit Hill Pharmacy. The only reason I changed originally was because my Endo at the time sent the new Libre3 script to Edgepark. What a mistake. I should have never gone this long. Something is not right with them. So, I canceled my order and will eliminate them from my emails.
Good riddance Edgepark.
They dont care and only want the huge markup they can charge. Deliver to address never given, delay order of needed supplies forcing me to pay out of pocket to get what was needed elsewhere because they would not process order. Called several times and they dont care.
Do not deal wit them
Insurance company recommended this company. Insurance rep called company and explained my situation and was told they could handle the order. Two weeks later another person from company called and denied my order because I did not meet Medicare guidelines. I explained that united healthcare my secondary ins would cover it. Was told that did not matter, if I didn't meet Medicare guidelines they were unable to help. I then asked to speak to supervisor and she told me they were busy. Refused to transfer my call. I ended the call.
Company notified of shortage 6 weeks ago and still not received.
Company in Bad Faith.
Supplies not received and supplies are out and stops working on 7/16/2024.
Company notified of upcoming shortage in June.
They won't transfer to supervisor
There don't have a supportive customer service! Very dismissive if you have a comaint or a problem. Have left me without ANY Ostomy supplies. Phone staff is rude and arguementive. When you call to get a person to file a complaint with, you cant!
They will worry you to death with autofill order texts, emails and phone calls but when there is an issue with an order, they never called even though they lied and said they did. They claim to have left a message. I check my voicemails as they come in. They never did so they sent me a letter...no texts or calls. One oh the reps claimed she could not connect me to a supervisor and I would have to call back. When I did speak to one, they didn't care at all nor could they understand that if they had just been even a little bit proactive, I wouldn't be rating them so low now.
My health care provider ordered ostomy supplies from Edgepark. This is my first time with an ostomy bag. A week later and nothing has been done with my order. Edgepark has not even contacted my Doctor yet to confirm the order. I am now out of temporary supplies and Edgepark is saying it may be a week before anything arrives. The customer service rep gave me an "Oh Well" attitude. Medical companies like this should not be allowed to operate.
I've been a customer for a decade or more. I only stayed because according to omnipod and dexcom they were the best or sometimes only option. It isn't unusual for me to have to call 6-7 times to get them to actually send the order. I have never dealt with a more incompetent organization. They certainly don't act like they need your business or that they sell critical medical supplies. Unless you refuse to take no for answer they will not do anything other than take down your information (often wrongly) and send it on to someone else. Likely you will then wait 7-10 business days until they hear back from the person down the line and turns out they didn't send something right and the process starts over. It has cost me 1000s of dollars over the years of buying things retail in emergencies as they almost never ship it out on time. Currently I've been out of my critical supplies for 2 months and they just don't care. Thankfully a local pharmacy now caries Dexcom. Goodbye Edgepark. May you go bankrupt soon so that no-one else has the same experience that I have had.
Tried for months to get refills for Libre 2 sensors for continuous glucose monitoring. I was an existing customer with a valid and approved prescription and insurance approval. The website required that I provide the name and number of my primary care physician - who is in fact NOT the prescribing physician. I provided EVERYTHING they asked for. Called customer service. They had no idea why the order could not be filled. At my next endocrinology appointment, I told my (prescribing) physician that I could no longer deal with Edgepark. She proceeded to attempt to switch my supplier. Since then, I have received almost daily emails and phone calls from Edgepark wanting to suck me into their mess again. This is harassment.
This company should have their business license revoked.
I am a type 1 diabetic. On January 12,2024, I informed them that I was completely out of my Dexcom sensors. I further informed them I was hypoglycemic unaware. The man I spoke with assured me that an order would be sent on January 30 because that was when I was eligible with my insurance. As of Feb. 5, I still have not received them. I called and was told it was because I had to pay my new year insurance deductible. I was never told this, and in fact received insulin pump supplies a week ago from them without being informed of any deductible; I just paid my co-pay. This is a life threatening situation and one they give little attention to. Why was I not required to pay a deductible for the insulin pump supplies (of which I have many?) Again, I was ASSURED my order of sensors would be shipped on January 30. I was never informed otherwise, although the rep claimed I received phone calls for the money.
Edgepark is recommended by my insurance company as a provider for a breast pump. I have confirmed with my insurance that the breast pump is covered and Edgepark is contracted with my insurance. I also called my doctor to make sure she can provide the diagnosis. Left my doctor's fax number a few times to the agents. I called literally ten times to try to sort through various issues. When I called an agent to provide information one time and was assured that this issue was revolved, the same exact issue would pop up in one or two days. This company is completely incompetent. Don't waste your time dealing with them.
I wish I was allowed to give less than one star. Customer service is completely useless. Shipments are slow to process and edgepark does nothing to help if items do not work or are missing from the shipment.
Order placed on 7-10-23 for pump supplies. After a week, I checked back and was told they needed the doctors notes. After much back and forth, they finally said they had received them. I checked back on my order a week later and was told they were waiting for Medicare to approve the order. I am now out of supplies and they cannot give me a shipping date.
I would not recommend these people to anyone. There customer service are
Non- native English speakers.
Got an evie stride breast pump. Retail value- $286
Wanted me to sign a form for them to bill my insurance for $702. Um what? Pass. Take this pump back. That's extortion.
RATING OF ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH!
If you have no life and time to waste with NO RESULTS then Edgepark is the company you should use...after using Edgepark for 15+ years, i guess they changed management, because they are the dumbest, most incredibly stupid people who manage the accounts. How many times do you want a diagnosis? How many times do you want to "confirm" my order? And i love that they decide you need supplies... I am currently looking for another company to fulfil my orders because i no longer have so much time to waste talking to people who confirm the order, approve the order, and advise they are shipping...then 5 days later we start the process all over again. ENOUGH!
Awful at processing orders. Initial customer service reps are friendly and highly accommodating. Ask for the supervisor and you get a clear picture of an awful company. Im assuming they are rude because of the amount of complaints they hear. I pray i have the choice to use another company.
I ordered more supplies when I had two weeks left of supplies, I have been waiting over a month to get the supplies and every week I have to call them to see what new issue they are having. Don't not use this company if the equipment you need is life saving, as you can not rely on them.
