I was just recently diagnosed with ADHD and trying to get school work finished as im 19 and failed every single year of highschool due to chronic illness. My second option was to do online work through adult education. Im struggling. This is quite possibly the worst platform Ive used. No engagement, no excitement, no motivation to even finish school anymore. Im stuck. When i come home from work I dread getting on Edgenuity. The unskippable questions are aggravating as all hell. I can read the text just fine without some dullard mouthing off in my ear about what tf im supposed to be doing- entirely unskippable! I once had to wait over a minute for the next question on an assignment because this lady was reading back every single correct answer for a multiple choice question, as if i dont know the answer already(i LITERALLY selected the correct answers for a reason). I cant recite a single thing ive "learned" to my parent since adopting this program. I feel like im being set up for failure. I have no hope for college and i have no other options besides using this god forsaken platform. It wasnt built for teaching students, it was built to keep you in line and obey and to produce millions for its shareholders. (seriously, didnt they get busted for lobbying hundreds of thousands in 2014?)

Edgenuity sucks
I am a parent and my student is doing Edgenuity in school. He is being tortured by Edgenuity. Edgenuity has a lot of super long, unskippable, boring videos. It is also very repetitive and is frying his brain. Right now, he am 13 hours behind. The next day, after 5 hours of work, he is still 12 hours behind. It is incompletable and is f***ing stupid. The third guy looks likes Voldemort. My child has nightmares of Edgenuity.

My first year in Edgenuity was dreadful I got hit with the big red "YOUR BEHIND" bar if I didn't do school for a day. It throws projects at you, no warnings just get it done even though the projects are due the day they are assigned. A tests locked, you can't do school because of a system glitch, your behind and it's not your fault? To Bad! Just do school on breaks and weekends. This year edgenuity has been pretty ok. It makes me lock in to actually finish assignments (which I need with my crippling adhd) overall I would not recommend edgenuity at all unless your kid is independent, self motivated, and can stay on schedule.

My experience so far has been DREADFULL. Whenever i get a question wrong the only thing it does is reword it. Half the time I barely understand what they're saying because the voices sound like straight robots. At times it would mark me as behind before the due date is over. Certain questions they ask aren't talked about in the video. Honestly, any other app would be better than this one but I'm in too deep. Save yourself and use something else.

This learning app does not help at all. Whats annoying is that whenever you move on to the next question it always takes forever to even be able to press the screen because the stupid narrator/people are always talking. I understand this may be a good app for a blind kid but not even that works out. Its also super poorly built, its like one of those sketchy websites and its always sooooo laggy. And this is just a personal opinion but the people in the videos always piss me off. And go-guardian makes it 20 times worse💔 but in all this is a terrible app, as a student myself i would rather khan academy, or i-ready but not this. Unless you want to torture your student and make them want to die. Please don't download or give out. Thank you for the yap🥲

Edgenuity is a program that allows students to watch poorly made videos and answer obvious busywork questions. This is the extent of the platform's potential. The videos are essentially boring lectures with little to no attempts made to engage students in any meaningful way beyond someone deadpanning about a subject over still stock photos. Every single question I've answered on it's health program (NECESSARY in the state of California, by the way) has been a repeat of what I've learned, a exercise in even the most rudimentary of common sense, or essentially a process of elimination time-vampire. Never once has this program motivated me in any way to learn, only serving to exacerbate the most irrelevant and unhelpful parts of the modern US school system. This sentiment is shared with my classmates, as most of them either don't listen, don't watch or listen, or straight up never open the program in the first place, even when it affects their grade. The bloated, backtracking, incompetent word vomit presented as "lessons" in my units taught information already repeated to us in the past two years, which was essentially basic logic and responsible thinking which should've been taught to us in person anyway. Speaking of in-person teaching, even my own teacher stated he'd rather teach this himself than force us through this pathetic excuse for a learning platform. That's right, my own teacher would rather do extra work teaching some of the dullest material ever put to standards than put his students through the dystopian apathetic hell that is this program. If anyone sees this review and is considering this program for their class or child, listen to my words of anguished warning and know the suffering you will bring upon your student if you use this program. Information outdated at times (one source was from 2016 and has since been updated, not on edgenuity), ridiculous amount of coursework which caused me to be multiple units behind at the end of the term, even doing full days of work every weekday. Content is boring and not engaging, most engagement is a quiz at the end of a few lessons of being talked at. Worst online "learning" platform I've ever been forced to use by far.

I'm in my senior year, and I am riding on my ability to take extra classes with my online school to be able to graduate (the pandemic cause many disruptions in my education causing me to fail several classes). In first semester, my school was using ck-12 which is a great program. Unexpectedly my school switched what program it used for our classes. Edgenuity is outdated, clumsy, and genuinely a downgrade from my previous program. Unskippable videos that are anywhere from 2-10 minutes long full of info that doesn't even mach up with the question or lessions most of the time. It has genuinely mad me hate learning.

Let me be straight with y'all. EDGENUITY SUCKS. In all my years of school (10th grade rn) I have never imagined that such a daunting mistake for an educational website could roam the internet till this day. Why the hell is this ( can't find a word bad enough) website not shut down yet?
Edgenuity contains almost pure outdated information. Not only is this educationally misleading but it can easily lead to fails despite the input of correct information.
The pacing. I was told that I could move on my own pace using edgenuity.
A lie.
Miss one activity and suddenly you are now 3 years behind ( jk not that long) but you should understand my distress. As an online schooler, I sit at my Chromebook from 9:30 till 3:30 ( most times till 4:45, but we just say 3:30 here) And during a dominant amount of that time I am listening to a teacher on a recorded video. Correction, an unenthusiastic and unengaging teacher. No flexibility. No interactivity. No redeeming features. Stressful work load. Mandatory work. FIXED PACE. Edgenuity markets it's self as fun, interactive, and engaging.
Another lie.
I wish this educational site gets outlawed by the federal government of the United States.
Please, if you want enjoy school, edgenuity is a bad road to go down on.

A far worse way to "teach" compared to a face to face interaction with a teacher in an actual classroom. No one (including myself) pays attention to these videos at all and usually sit on their phones. If you want to actually TEACH kids you need to sit with them in a classroom or do interactive activities instead of this slop! It is far more engaging for a student to be taught on a desk or through a project. From what I have also read it is out of date with lots of its information. I could not imagine having to do math on an awful app like this. Not to mention that bringing kids to school or into a gym to sit on a computer is pointless.

Edgenuity is not even a good educational application, they should honestly just shut down and call quits, nobody is learning anything the platform is a mess and even if you miss a day or something your getting a call from school saying your behind. Edgenuity just preferably needs to shut down or just sell the company and make the company better, the state of Kentucky-Tennessee should ban it not even lying.

This is way to boring. Students hearts are always broken, and you really wont like doing this. ALso, this really does not have any helpful things.

I rather fail the whole year, than sit here and waste time on a program that doesn't teach! You're telling me that even if I miss one day, and don't do my schoolwork, I can fall behind! I have been working with this program for 8 years, and I tell myself I need to leave this school each year! You know why I haven't because the teachers are good at their job! It's the Edgenuity program that is the problem! I wouldn't even waste your time with this, I would just cheat if I were you or use a different program entirely. I'm about this close to making a report to our State's School Board on this matter.

THIS IS THE WORST PLATFORM I HAVE EVER BEEN IN! YOU HAVE TO WORK EVERYDAY AND IF YOU MISS ONE DAY THEN YOU WILL FALL BEHIND! ALSO THEY TEACH YOU CERTAIN THINGS AND YOU THINK YOU UNDERSTAND BUT THEN THEY THROW THE MOST UNEXPECTED THING AT YOU JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURE BELOW. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS AWFUL except for the teachers they are the only reason why I am getting by. DO NOT TRY THIS PLATFORM!

Edgenuity is probably the most grueling educational website of all time. You are forced to watch unskippable and very boring lectures that feel forced and extremely unengaging. It's also really easy to fall behind since you are given assignments every day. If you are finding an educational platform for students to use, DON'T choose edgenuity.

The people who talk are very monotone and boring and the content is very repetitive. The videos could take 10 minutes long,when it could take 2 minutes. > :( Wish I could rate it 0 stars.

Edgenuity is literally a disgrace. I had to do it for summer break and I went on vacation to 2 places, and I still had to do edgenuity. I did the 7th grade accelerated math course and I literally felt like smashing my computer into pieces. It's so boring, I always get side tracked because the videos are so boring and monotonous. I think districts use edgenuity because its very cheap. I am a person who usually listens to boring things and still learns but Edgenuity made me learn absolutely nothing. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Big waste of time having you listen to everything read out loud before you can start your work wasting your time and making it take longer
