We originally rented with another company who tried to price gouge us with 'fees' on top of the agreed to Expedia price.
I get asked for the full tanked SUV and give it back full tanked, although i was advised to give it with empty tank. They said they charged benzin with cheaper prices than outside coz they have agreement. I'm ok with that but to return with empty tank is hard to arrange.
In summary, an exemplary car rental service which I would recommend to everyone, and which was superb to many other car rental services I had during my holidays.

Five weeks after cancelling a reservation and in the absence of the promised refund, I made a call to what appears to be the sole contact number for that entity. After having been put on hold for 10 minutes, some individual acknowledged the failure, vaguely promissed to contact the "Finance Department", couldn't provide any deadline... and hung up ignoring further questions. Clearly, the refund hadn't been processed or even initiated prior to my call... This entity is not treating customers according to industry standards and has cash flow issues. It is running its business from some dubiuous call center located in Eastern European, has no assets anywhere and seems to be implementing a scheme to delay claims (at best...). I'm curious to discover their next step and phony explanations.
I turned up at 1030pm to pick up my rental car. Rental car company told me they had cancelled my booking. No correspondence from Economy bookings about this. Stuck getting a $80 taxi and they still take the money out of my account for the rental car. I have emailed this company twice to ask for a refund and received no response.

I paid $266 as a deposit to economybooking and paid $171 to thrifty car rental when picked up the car (3/15/21). I filled the gas tank FULL but NEVER RECEIVED my deposit back to this day (8/18/21)!

TERRIBLE experience with this awful company. They clearly have ZERO interest in their customers. I wrote to them on the 12th of July about a refused rental and received a reply on the 9th of August... this is UNACCEPTABLE!
Ruined the start of my holiday in Turkey as they took my rental fee (over £400) even though I did not get the car, then I had to find a another car myself which ended up costing almost double the original rental. Over the phone, Economy Bookings were completely unhelpful and unforgiving, showing no sympathy for my situation, even though it was their system which is flawed.

If you are wondering of booking a car through this portal, undoubtedly DON'T. It may seem the best deal due to it's affordable price, but in the end it turned to the most expensive car rental service I have ever seen. We were forced to pay double some expenses that figured as payed in our reservation, as none of them figured on the car rental company's register. The total price of the rental tripled when this happened. None interest was shown from economybookings on the moment it was demanded, and neither was it shown from GoldCar's employees towards our complaints. Overall, awful service and a complete dissapointemnt towards this company.

We had to cancel our bookings due to covid19 border closures. The lady on the phone cancelled both our bookings and stated that we would be refunded our money, with a small amount removed due to cancelling, which was fine.
We have been waiting over 3 weeks for the $$ and when I have tried to talk to someone no one is available, I am told to email. 3 emails later and I am yet to get a single response! TERRIBLE customer servoce!

I book a car as it was advertised $29.57 / day, once I place payment they charged me $74/ day.
It has been over three weeks try to resolve the issue, i spoke to a person from the company and was told can not be resolved over the phone. I have several emails I send, they keep on sending me to a link which will charge me cancellation fee of $89. This is a scam which i would like everyone to know, will take it further to authorities who is responsible to catch such a scammers.

I had to cancel my rental car because when I got to the airport the line wrapped around the building. I was told it was three hour and 45 minute wait. Being by myself with my luggage I was unable to use the restroom so I had to get out of line. I did not want to start at the end of the line again. I am 60 years old and believe this was unacceptable waiting time. I will continue to fight for a refund. It also would be helpful if you could talk to a person but there is no customer service for refunds. This is some type of robbery for my $540. I also believe any good reviews coming from this site are not legit.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
