I booked a car and thought that I had gotten a great deal. However upon arrival, I was told that taxes were not included and my rental went up be another $100+. I had prepaid fur the car then had to pay again. Not very happy. Dug into my allotted budget. Also note, that a $300 or more "hold fee" will be dinged on your credit card. I was told that I would be refunded in 24 hours. Waiting to see if that happens.
Pay attention to the request from this quorum site and register your credit card and there is money in it. You will withdraw immediately and send a message to you that your reservation has been cancelled.

I booked a rental car for Italy. Needed to make a change to the booking which I did online. I noticed that it changed the entire rate of the booking instead of adding an extra day.
I was sent an email from EconomyBookings.com saying that I needed to accept the changes within 48 hours. I emailed back immediately and declined the change to the booking. Regardless of refusing the new rate, Economy Bookings went ahead with the reservation. I'm now overcharged by $400CAD. I've sent in a request to have this issue fixed 3 times over the last several weeks and to date nobody has replied to my email.
When I called in the customer service agent was not helpful at all and told me to bad there is nothing they can do regardless of the fact that I responded with in the time frame given. I was told to email support.
I haven't even been on my trip yet and I'm already having terrible experience with this company. I foresee only issues when I actually go to pick up the vehicle.
It would have been prudent to have checked all the negative reviews this company has received.
Lesson learnt... you get what you pay for.

I made booking of Toyota Yaris HYBRID 5 month in advance at the Belgrade airport. 651.85 Euro I paid at the moment of booking. It was an idea to rent Hybrid car in order to save some money on gasoline during our journey in Serbia. Once me and my wife arrived to Belgrade, we went to "Dollar Thrifty" counter and were unexpectedly surprised by company representative, who told us they don't have HYBRID car at all. So instead of expected HYBRID they offered us Opel Corsa in a very used condition with over 105 000 km of mileage. On top of that car was all dirty and it's right turn
Signal didn't work (it fell out of mounting place). We refused to take that car since it wasn't in the condition for safe driving. Then, company representative offered us the other higher class car, but with manual transmission. We refused to take that car

And we HAD to withdraw from the contract. I expected EconomyBookings to return the money due to the impossibility of fulfilling the contract. I wrote complaint with a request to return the money, but the company refused to do this, referring to the fact that I was offered an alternative car and I refused it. In my complaint, I indicated that I was forced to refuse the offered cars for the following reasons: 1. There was no hybrid car available, even though this was stipulated in the reservation. 2. The second offered car was in a non-working condition. 3. The third proposed car was with a manual transmission which I couldn't drive. For the above reasons, I consider EconomyBookings to be completely non-customer oriented company and would not recommend to anyone doing business with them. Moreover, I will apply to the court to compensate for the financial and moral damage caused to me.

Need more staff behind the counter to sign in. To much stress for one person to sign you in. But overall great company and staff. Well be using them again. We save time and money.
Very poor customer service, I was charged more then what was advertised on the web site during the booking, when I did call customer service at *******090 the agent was very rood and didn't really care about my cancers, she said it was my fault and they don't have any control of the company renting the car, the price I saw was only for that day she said! When I asked for refund due the all these confusion she said I will be charged cancellation fees which are about $52! I said I just did the booking not even 24hrs ago! And I'm cancelling because I was charged more then was expected as per the advertising price on your web site... unfortunately she didn't care and ended the call!
Waw... I will never try booking from this web site... no wounder they sometimes put the low price/day! But the will charge you total amount for the other days which you don't even know how much plus the exchange conversion fees!
Very bad experience and will will not recommend it to any one, be aware and sty away before you get stuck!

I was extremely disappointed since the airport shuttle service was not able to find your location. This booking is confusing. I won't use this website anymore. The company name is different. This is third party company with a similar name at another big company with the purpose to steal money to new visitors. This company stole my money and they don't have a customer service person to talk to when it is needed.

Despite all the assurances on their website about how cancellations are fully refunded, THIS IS A SCAM! Do not pay for the deposit, do not pay for the car in full, there are many, many other reputable sites!

First time to use EconomyBookings as I had never used a platform outside my country Australia, but I am very happy about its customer service via emails and the car rental rate it offered was quite good.
Arrived at the car rental on time. The car rental company refused to accept my credit-debit card so my girlfriend which was with me offered her credit card. Since the booking was on my name, the car rental (NÜ Car Rental) refused to take her card as well saying that they also aren't able to change the name on the booking. After a few phone calls with Economy Bookings they refused to change the name of the booking on their side as well, saying they wouldn't be able to make changes on the booking after the pick-up time. (But we arrived on time to pick up the car?!?!) The lady on the phone eventually hung up the phone 2 times in the middle of the conversation. The voicemail then offered us to write an email to the support team which would get back to us in 3-7 days (or so).
After almost 3 hours we gave up and had to go and book a car with an other car rental company.

At first when I booked the car and paid, I was afraid that maybe the company is a scam, but then I received confirmation and checked the detail, I was relieved. One good point was that Economy booking said the credit amount I did need to loan the car is 2900€ as insurance to hold, however when I went to sign the contract and pick up the car they said it is 3700€, and my credit limit was only 3000€. But when I showed them the confirmation, they accepted to loan the car with 2900€ credit hold.

Booked a car for a week, when our delayed plane landed it was midnight and the offices were closed.
We figured that's fine we'll just get the car the next day, after all we have booked the car for a full week and we don't mind losing a day from the rental.
But when we got to the offices the next day the car company refused to give us the car saying that the voucher economy bookings gave us has expired!
And we did get the car.
The customer support of economy bookings have told me that they can't do anything about it and no refunds will be given or alternative vouchers because I "failed to pick up the car on time" which to remind you happened because of our flight got delayed! And the car should be booked for a week!
As another reviewer said, there polices are written to rip you off.
So I lost all my money and I advise you to run away and use other services.
Avoid at all costs.
Definitely will not be using there service again and I would advise others to do the same

Economy booking is a scam they make it impossible for you to get your money back if it's not your fault for having to cancel! Or if they cancel on you because in my situation I waited in line for almost 3 hours and then was told that I couldn't rent my car even though it was paid for because I paid with a debit card it doesn't say anything about not using a debit card but when you get there they'll tell you that you have to have a credit card even though you don't use money that's not yours they said that your debit card that's filled up with money is not good enough so they tell you that you can request a refund but then as soon as they get back to you they're going to say that you violated the agreement because you didn't have a credit card when I didn't read anything about a credit card when I was making my reservations even when the terms and conditions came up which was a month ago nothing about a credit card was even mentioned not even that signing out not even at when I put my debit card information in there at all and then I get there and wait in line for almost 3 hours and was told that I'm basically out of luck stuck missing my appointment which I came to California for in the first place all of it was completely messed up I had to go to a different rental car agency and book with them I got my car right away sitting in line for 5 minutes when I went to the other car rental place so basically economy booking agency are scammers they are thieves! Thieves thieves thieves! They stole $140 from me and because I didn't have a credit card they said that I couldn't even get the car to rent even though it was already paid for with a debit card this place is evil it is evil evil evil thieves and God sees everything so be careful with what you do to God's people because he will make sure that you pay for what you did anybody that reads this that don't agree I don't care I know the truth and y'all going to get what's coming to you.

I bought a voucher for a car rental in Costa Rica. I brought the voucher as instructed and the guy at the counter said that they don't accept any vouchers. I ended up having to pay the full price on top of the voucher and after waiting a week of trying to contact Economy Bookings, they said won't refund my money.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
