Their policy is very deceptive. They say that the car comes with insurance under EconomyBookings but if there is any claim you need to file, EconomyBookings will tell you the insurance comes from the rental car agency, and the rental car agency will tell you you didn't purchase insurance, it comes from EconomyBookings.
This is the first time I used Economy booking as car rental plattform. Nothing to blame everything punctusl and precise. I think it depends on which desk you choose for your car. I prefer always known rental brands and full cover insurance of the desk where you rent the car... less or no problems at all later.
I reserved a car through economybookings.com with a very low price. AutoUnion did not want to honour the deal and lied to me that my Canadian driver's license was not valid, but that's not true. They refused to give me the car and I lost 165CAD from the reservation at economybookings.com. I am not satisfied with the service. I tried contacting them by telephone and email but they did not respond.

The customer service of this company is the badest i ever had. They didnt answer my questions about deposit. I wrote them 2 mails they didnt answer one.
Also we decided to take full coverage insurance on economybookings and they promised us on phone that this insurance is enough and we dont need any additional insurance on the rental car company. Wr asked them more than one time because it was our first time we rented a car. They promised us this insurance is enough.
When we arrived at the car rental company we got a shock. We had to pay 2700 euros deposit. Also they told us this insurance we have through economybooking is nonsense and we have to get a insurance from rental car. So we had to pay 400 euros for insurance. Also it was not possible to change maindriver on ecenomybookings when i called them and told them the problem.
Afterqards i wrote ecobomybookings a mail and told them this case. They didnt answer mails about deposit and made wrong promises about their insurances.
This guy (Ben) who answered me told me the same, that the insurance of eceonomybookings is not enough and its normal that we have to pay insurance at rental car company. Sooo why told us the other guy that its enough to have this insurance from economybookings?
After that i wrote him a answer to his mail that i am very disappointed and we want to have the money back of the insurance from economybookings... never got an answer till now...

In early June, in Italy, I made a booking through their website but wanted to modify the time by a couple of hours. Their website did not provide the option of modifying the booking, so I was forced to cancel it and make another booking in order to correct it. However, after I cancelled and went straight back within 1min to book it with the modified hours, the car had disappeared from their website. I wanted the car but their website's poor functionality made this impossible. I received nothing.
They then charged me a cancellation fee because I made the booking and cancelled it within 48 hours of the booking. Their 48 hour policy makes sense if a car is booked a week in advance and a car is then put aside, and then the customer pulls out 1 day before the booking. However, in my instance, I made the booking and then was forced to cancel it within about 1min. What cost to their organisation could possibly have occurred in that 1min window? It's all automated at that stage. Ironically, the automation is what caused me the problem of not being able to modify the booking on their website; whereas booking through a human would allow that!
The stress and mental strain of trying to rent a car through their website for a fair price in Italy at that short notice was quite high. I'm still annoyed by the whole thing a couple of months later. All I wanted was to hire a car - it really should have been a simple process. And yet I've had money taken from me and no explanation. It's been a bit stressful.
The lack of attention and communication from the company on this has been appalling.

We were picking up our car on a Saturday but found out Friday night that Jet Blue had canceled our flight. We called Economy Bookings to tell them and they said we had to cancel the car rental and would issue a refund. Of course they refuse now to issue the refund. The worst company I've ever dealt with

The booking process was easy, the rental was relatively cheap, the staff, very professional and hospitable. I did not regret the experience!
Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. This company does not honor reservations, horrible customer service and the negative ratings they received all well deserved. I booked 6 months in advance, paid deposit, showed up with a confirmation email and a voucher issued by them and the reservation could not be found. Go directly to Hertz, Avis or Budget and save yourself an unpleasant experience.

Easy Pick-up after long flight. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not the car we booked but very happy with the replacement. Drop off was simple and quick as we had to get to the airport for return flight. Would use again.

From picking car up at Cartengena railway station could not fault the service. Half the price of Alicante airpot, car was brand new. 15 minutes to pick up and less than 10 minutes at drop off. Booked a car through economy booking one switch worst car company ever wnt to switch one they would only accept the insurance they sold plus's 14.99 a day for toll pass rental was 290. The total cost was going to cost me over 1000. 00 for 7 days, they are scammers including economy booking I was stranded with no car went back to airport for 600.00 got a Mimi van for half the money at Alamo. Without having to pay for I pass. And they accepted my insurance. I even bought insurance from economy booking that I can't get back.

Used the Thrifty at Minneapolis Airport. The location was a bit confusing to find but once I found it the process was very fast. They changed me a $500 security deposit since I was using a debit card. That was a bit ridiculous. That $500 cut into my vacation money DEEP so that made it to where I had to do bare minimal on my trip. The car was in good shape but it smelled so weird. I dreaded getting into my car to go anywhere. The back seats weren't very clean either. If I'm paying a pretty penny for a rental, I want a pleasant experience and my experience was mediocre at best. Next time I'll use Turo!
Made a reservation over a year ago, the car rental voided the contract since they did not have a car rental at the time of my reservation. Been in contact with them for the past year and they will not give me a refund and or even a compensation voucher that I requested multiple times. Like everyone else has said they scam you for your money and you cannot even get a live person on the phone. You can only email them. I showed all the proof necessary to receive a refund etc. NEVER use this company.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
