According to what I read, if I canceled 48 hours before the actual pick up I would be refunded in full. It was not refunded in full and I canceled almost a week ahead of time. I've called to no avail. I've sent several emails requesting the rest of my refund and there has been no response thus far.
I booked a rental car through Economy Bookings and paid extra for an additional driver, as well as full coverage insurance. When we got to our destination to pick up the car, we were informed full coverage was not included, nor the second driver. We had to pay an additional $338 to Thrifty on top of the $769 I already paid to Economy. Book your rental directly through the car agency, not a third party.

I booked through them and when I arrived to get the car they didn't have it. Instead of helping me out and finding me another car, they didn't do anything except charge my card and accused me of no show when I was stuck in their office for 4 hours. That's a scam artist based in LatvIa. Good luck getting your money back if anything goes wrong. The lineup for car renters was in the dozens standing in the parking lot in the rain. No one gives a $#*!. Rent from anyone else that will be on your side if anything goes wrong instead of leaving you stranded in a strange country and still charge you the full amt. Scum!
Rented a car in Croatia, paid for additional driver online and had to pay again when we arrived. We paid in advance for accident cover only to find out we would have to foot the bill and wait months for economy bookings to refund us. 3 weeks after we returned they withdrew over £200 from my account for no reason and are very hard to contact with a complaint.
We also received the wrong car out in Croatia and Avant (the company we rented from through Economy Bookings, described our contract with them as a "sham" that ignored Avants own customer policies. Avoid using this company!
This is either the most unprofessional website in the world or just a big fraud. Several hours after booking, they will not confirm whether your booking is processed or not. Nor will they confirm what company you are renting from. They also add "airport pick up charges" to a rental in the center of town. All you get from their website is that your booking is "Pending". And this is after you have given credit card details and confirmed.
Do not ever give these people your credit card number!
I decided to try Economy Booking based on quoted price. When I arrived at the counter, I was told I needed to purchase insurrance that would have cost more than the rental quote. I had travelled to Florida many times and rented with many providers, I had always been able to refuse the companies insurrance and use my third party coverage. This insurrance requirement was not quoted in advance. There were a lot of unhappy people in similar situations at the counter. I chose to return to the airport and rent from another provider which, on the day of, cost me 50% more than if I had booked them originally.
The price was an attention getter. Sure got my attention. I love a great bargain. Who doesn't? Being somewhat skeptical, I looked for reviews on rentals in Orlando. Thank you, thank you for this review. I ended up booking with another company for 4 more dollars a day! Yes, just 4 more dollars for peace of mind with a US company traveling within the US with no time difference. I would be very leery renting out of my own country since I am not familiar with this company. Buyer beware. If its too good to be true...
My name is Artem, booking number is B*******. I made a reservation on EconomyBookings.com, paid for it with my Mastercard credit card. When I arrived to pickup point and tried to pay deposit with exactly the same credit card man on reception said to me they don't take credit cards issued by my bank and cancelled my order. He even didn't try to use it. So I stayed without car and was needed to pay more in another rent point.
I had read terms and condition before payment and checked my credit card in bin checker as they suggest, everything was ok.
I wrote about it to EconomyBookings support, and after 2 weeks(!) they answered me that I "failed to provide a credit card with enough available funds and with the main driver's name printed on it" so they won't refund my payment.
For my reasonable "How could I know rent point doesn't work with my bank?" they just say nothing for 1 week and still quiet.
Absolutely disgusting service, they just stole my money.

I paid all the fees and insurance in advance and when I tried to pick up the car they wanted to charge me double, claiming non-mandatory fees and insurance. They do not respond to my contact and do not return the money. Be careful with them

I booked a month long car rental through them and on the day of pickup for the car I was told due to issues with the car rental company I could not get the car and I was told I had to cancel and request a refund. I never received the refund that I was told I would get by an agent for a full month of car rental. I would never recommend using this company.

I booked a full size car rental for a week in CA for what seemed like a too-good-to-be-true price. Then I read some reviews and was super freaked out that I was going to get screwed. But I picked up the car at Thrifty as advertised and the whole process couldn't have been easier. The price was exactly what I was told it would be when I booked which saved me over $130 from all other rental places. I will definitely use them again!

Picked up Nissan Qashqai at the airport of Alicante, the car was upgraded and even bigger than I expected. It was easy to drive and very comfortable. I was informed in advance by economy bookings.com staff on what to do on-site and warned that I need to return the car with a full tank but the nearest fuel station was situated rather far away from the drop off point. For the rest, I am quite satisfied with my renal in Spain.
It is impossible to reach them using the number provided on the website, they simply never pick up and let you wait hours at the phone. We tried to add an additional insurance service to our booked car in a second stage and it was not possible due to an unknown error on their page that, of course, it is not going to be fixed anytime soon. As a result we ended up payng way more than expected to the car rental on spot.
