On March 6, I was looking to rent a car at Detroit International airport using Kayak search engine, During the search for March 7 thru March 11, I came across an advertisement from Economy Bookings regarding the availability of a car at a good price. I right away paid for the car and BOOKED THE CAR (Booking number:
B*******). Once paid, I realized that it was across the US border in Canada at Windsor International airport. I right away called their customer service (which took me at least 40 min to connect to an agent). I explained the whole situation to this agent. In fact I told him about the flight number too that I was taking to land at the Detroit airport. He didn't pay any attention to my request. Horrible customer service. I TRIED TO CANCEL WITHIN TWO MINUTES OF BOOKING BUT THIS GENTELMAN'S RESPONSE WAS EXTREMELY POOR.
I also sent an email to their customer service explaining my situation.

Worse rental company I have ever dealt with. Traveled with another family and we had two mini van's booked a month in advanced. Even called two days prior to arrival to make sure all was good.
After they informed us that our two mini vans weren't there, they said they would recommend another rental company but couldn't guarantee the fee to be the same! They were going to let us walk right out the front door. After 1 1/2hrs of arguing our case, we settled for a 12 passenger van and a compact car that totally changed our plans for the week. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO RENT YOUR VEHICLE. I don't know how a business like this is able to run in North America.

I was really hesitant and even called Thrifty after my booking to make sure I really had a reservation. Everything went smoothly on economybookings.com, but Thrifty was a pain.

When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
