This site is a scam! Spent an hour on the phone with customer service when our car wasn't here and no record of it. Turns out it's at another airport in another city! Alice in customer service should be fired. Rude, disrespectful, refused to help in any capacity or pass it on to a manager/supervisor, and kept threatening to hang up because we were "wasting her time". Her time?! The company has $600 of our money! She hung up on us. We are stranded and out the money. Buyer beware!

You would think a company whose entire service is for people after a flight would be more helpful for a delayed flight. They require their money up front and don't care about you at all once they get that. After multiple calls and was informed they would hold my car for me, I got in at 2am and waited for the rental company to open at 5 only to be informed they did not hold it

I booked a car through Economy Bookings and made a prepayment of 87 USD and then arrived on the date and time at Nelly Car rental in Punta Cana and they said sorry we don't have a car for you and we don't see any prepayment. Either I take a car that is more expensive or nothing. No money back and no other car to rent. I had to call the police and went to the police station to file a complaint against Nelly Car for mistreatment and theft.

It's not rly free cancelation. Upon cancelling you will receive 60% of your money and the rest will remain credit on account. You can request to get that credit refunded too but they will charge you Eur60 resource fee. WHAT a Joke! They tell you FREE Cancelation but it's a partial refund.

Dec 2023 I had to pay an extra $3.06 per day to guarantee the ability to cancel the reservation within one hour of pick up time. This guarantees a full refund. I've never seen this charge before. It is RIDICULOUS to charge this fee. We rent cars all the time. If we are supposed tp pay a full payment up front that is non-refundable, we won't rent. If the rental is guaranteed with full refunds upon cancellation--with no fees up front--we will rent. AGAIN, A RIDICULOUS CHARGE.

I booked a car rental through EconomyBookings with the understanding that it would be refundable 48 hours before cancellation. Before cancelling, I called customer service to confirm that this would be the case - to the original form of payment.
They told me that I could cancel my existing booking (B*******) and get a refund to my original form of payment, but they neglected to inform me until after the fact that I would also be charged a significant fee. I asked them if there was any way around it, and they told me no.
I was planning to use my wallet to make another booking (B*******), but only realized after booking that I had to do it beforehand. I tried to request a full refund of the below booking to my original form of payment, but they told me no, and they also would not let me speak to a supervisor.
I have written to *******@bookinggroup.com and am hoping to hear back. If I do, I would be happy to update this review. Otherwise, I would warn everyone to stay clear of this company.

Booked for rental car but made a plan change. I tried to cancel the booking but according to their website it only provides credit for the next time usage. I called their customer service but the agant said there will be $65 cancellation fee for refund to my credit card. Careful cancellations are not free.
I booked a car with announced free cancellation.
They charged me 60EUR! To refund the money (over 20% of the original booking). A shame.
All written in very long terms and conditions stating that they refund it to your Credit Wallet... (not credit Card) if you want your cash back you pay 60€.
For me, wehter fair nor legal.

Be careful when booking with this company. If you cancel a reservation, they put the funds in a "wallet" and do not send back to your credit card. They do not mention this process at all during the cancellation process and if you want it back on your card they charge $65 to do it. Pretty crappy policy and I canceled within minutes when I realized I chose the wrong vehicle (my bad but supposed to be free to cancel before the date). Be careful and read everything or they will pull a fast one. Poor business practice, in my opinion.

When I cancelled my reservation, the amount of money that was returned to my credit wallet was a way smaller than the amount that I originally paid.
And then, when I requested to withdraw money from the credit wallet to my credit card, the amount of money was 60 Euro less than the original payment. The reservation no.B******* and B*******.
So I lost 120 Euro by canceling 2 reservations.
I email the company to request about the details of cancellation fee and to show me the notification page.that explains about the exact amount of cancellation fee. But NEVER replied.
I could barely find the word " cancallation fee" BUT never found that it will be this much amount. It didn't describe the details anywhere in their website.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
