Price was the best for any on airport rental...including corporate codes I have been using for 20 yrs. Was 25% less than my corporate codes, even with the cancellation insurance. You prepay and it is non refundable unless you buy cancellation insurance $10. Rental company was Thrifty. Price was a lot cheaper than the Thrifty site. Clean car. No surprise charges. No hassle rejecting all insurance and no requirement of proof of insurance like most discount places. When you book, you get an acknowledgement of the rental, then that is followed by a confirmation of the rental. You prepay in advance. All the negative reviews were based on the renter's ignorance, not Economy Bookings. You need to read the rental company's rules - proof of insurance, international driver license, tolls, etc. These have nothing to do with Economy Booking. My rental was perfect - just what I rented with no surprise fees. Economy Booking can do a better job explaining the booking process - 2 emails for confirmation. Economy Booking's insurance offer is much cheaper than any rental company's if you need it.
The car rental firm in San Diego-MEX RENT A CAR did not answer the phone the night we arrived. Thus, we had to get a taxi and rent a room and stay the night in San Diego which prevented us from getting to a very important event that evening. The next day when they did answer the phone and pick us up the rental agent-MARK-was rude, unprofessional and obnoxious. (HE LIED TO ME.) I spoke to two of the office employees who told me the person duty who was suppose to be on duty the night of our arrival went home early. At this point the rental agency has done nothing to reimburse me for my additional costs. I would be cautious of using MEX RENT A CAR in San Diego.
I like travels. And 6 weeks ago I had to use this service. I'm thankful for good gob and nice prices. It helped me to stay satisfied and quickly to get to the airport. Thank you guys. Well done

I used their service to rent a vehicle in SJC - San Jose, California USA airport location. I needed a minivan, and rates through EconomyBookings were significanlty less than anywhere else. I was a little wary of their voucher system, but everyting worked out great. I even used their phone support to get a question answered and make the reservation while I was at it - they were helpful as well. I am about to make another reservation - it appears that through EcononmyBookings the "out-the-door" cost will be only 42% of the cost of booking with the rental company directly - score!
Booked a car for hire to drop off at 9pm which was an option available when making the booking request, two days before the rental started they contacted me to say I had to drop off by 5.30pm or they'd cancel the booking. This wasn't an option for me as wouldn't be back in time to do so, they then refused to accommodate dropping it off at 7am the following morning.
No interest or genuine attempt to find a solution, all they seems to want to do was cancel the booking. Useless, avoid avoid avoid

These guys are great! I rent from this location several times a month and the customer service is always excellent. They are able to get me in and out and on the road in a quick amount of time
I just booked a car rental though there website for Los Angeles. The car was supposed to cost $170 but they debited $255 immediately from my account and never sent me a confirmation or breakdown/invoice of my booking. I called Dollar Rent A Car and confirmed all but was told that I needed to work directly with Economy to discuss the charges. Well, I did finally get someone on the phone and was told that they basically added all the bells and whistles to the booking and if I wanted to take them off, they would do so but the refund wouldn't happen for several WEEKS! My question is, if the amount was debited instantly, why can't it be refunded instantly (even one or two days but not WEEKS!) Whatever you do, DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE CROOKS! I'm thinking at this point, I probably won't even get the refund back at all.
Lesson learned with this booking agent. I needed rental cause some moron ran a red light and hit my car. SO I booked with this place paid for cancel protection an had cancel first rental I called to see where my refund is because all 3 emails went unanswered. And they tell me it could take 21 days so I have to wait almost a month to get my money back even though I paid for your cancelation protection and I guarantee you they wouldn't wait a month to take my money. Cause they didn't they still took my money I canceled right away anyway. So I asked for fine. Can you put that towards another rental then because I'm gonna need another one and rentals aren't cheap, they couldn't do that. Then they tell me when I ask to speak to a manager. They can't give me a manager. There's no one above them that they can give me to. Really? So you're the only person I can talk to. Run before you make the mistake of using them I will never make that mistake again.

We were late for picking up the car and we were in contact with both EconomyBookings and the actual rental company that we are going to be late. Despite all of this, when we arrived, the actual rental company refused to give us a car since they claimed the EconomyBookings CANCELED the booking, WITHOUT our consent! Not only that, we did not receive any refund! Tried to contact the company, but no reply.

When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
