I booked a car on economybooking to have it for 24h in Marseille fro a wedding. Rental cost 350€ which is quite huge for 24h...
We had planned 1h to collect the car.
When we arrived at the rental company, Avis, there was a big queue. I called economybooking to inform them that it was risky. They said, it will be ok.
We expected it to move but after 20 minutes still no significant progress. I then called economybooking again and told them that the rental was not going to work and that, as there was no other solution, I would have to cancel it and take a taxi. The customer service told me to send an email which I did.
Luckily, we got a taxi, 50 minutes after arriving at the rental company. There was still a big queue. Taxi costed us 200€.
For the last 6 months, I have sent many emails to get refund as we have not used the rental and the service was not the one planned. No possibility to talk with customer service.
Economybooking changed their mind and don't want to refund. So, don't go there.
When you are a site linking renters with rentals, the least is to take responsibility when issues happen...
P.S: Their policy states:
"REFUND REQUEST
If you didn't pick up your rental car, please contact us at *******@bookinggroup.com and specify the reason." so why are they WAITING? They just want us to give up but we won't...
