Misleading

The price advertised and what I ended up paying was absolutely not the same - but I went with it as I was desperate. Until 3 says before the pick up, I thought I had been scammed as no one had heard of that rental company and I couldn't find it on the web. I also had to chase up for a phone number (for the rental company) and details of exactly where I was going to be met and collect the vehicle as that info was not provided with the voucher.

Awful experience

I don't see the point of having another proxy in front of a rental company, the price was exactly the same as if I paid directly, however I was unlucky to damage the car and this made the whole lot harder to deal with the situation. Firstly, you have to pay all the costs to rental company off the pocket. Then you need to raise a full coverage request which they say will take "up to 35 days to process", which is actually not accurate, they will take longer. In my case, it's still opened and pending (since April, 8th). We have already contacted customer support multiple times through the help center form and by phone, but no one has addressed our case. It seems that when everything goes smoothly, good reviews follow, but when a real issue arises, there is no real support. Everywhere I get just automated replies and not real one reply.
Going directly with full coverage would be so much easier, and all that for the same price.

I ended up not being able to rent the car that I paid for because the scanner of the rental company wouldn't accept my driving licence ( it was slightly chipped in the corner). EconomyBookings kept the entire amount of my payment and refused to refund (I was asking for it minus their fees, of course). This way is easy to make a profit: Keeping people's money! There's a word for this.
Side note: I was able to rent another car on another company with no issues whatsoever!

Do not use this 3rd party company to book your hire car. Their Full Coverage & Roadside Assistance option was worthless at the rental car counter, we had to pay for it again to get any coverage. When we asked for a refund, they refused. What looks like great pricing is not avoid this company, worst rental car experience we have ever had!

They approved my claim of about $1300USD, however provided a credit in their "e-wallet". In order to get the actual money, I had to request a wire transfer. That was done on April 29th and I have still not received the money(May 21). I have attempted to contact them multiple times and the last response was that I should check with my bank on the status. However, they have never provided me with any tracking information whatsoever. They expect me to call my back with ZERO information in order to trace the transfer. I'm worried I will never actually see this money. TERRIBLE CLAIMS PROCESS. DO NOT USE THEM!

Big scam, do not use them along with the other names they go by, Zizgo, nextcar, etc.
Booked a car from MIA, went to there off site airport from a shuttle, and they required unrealistic requirements to use your own insurance, so they make you use there insurance that is completed overpriced, along with the toll fee requirements. Not worth it, go with a reputable company

I have written literally 2-3 reviews my whole life. This experience was absolutely one of the worst I have had, so I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I didn't warn people.
Prior to my trip I made an online booking which included prepayment of $300, with $45 leftover to be paid upon picking up the car.
When we arrived at AddCar (the rental company) in Orlando airport, they denied having received the prepayment through economybooking. Furthermore, they wanted to charge us an additional $585 in fees and mandatory insurance, as well as a $200 security deposit.
In all our years of renting cars we have NEVER been required to purchase insurance as our own insurance has coverage already.
We got economybooking representative on the phone to speak with Addcar agent, who refused to do so. As a result, spent hours dealing with this fiasco late evening after a long travel day with no resolution. We were not about to pay triple the original online price, so we canceled with them and went to Enterprise instead. Was able to get a car hassle free for $200 However we wasted $300 on this company that we are unable to get back. We requested for refund but their response was that we did not cancel prior to pick-up time, completely ignoring the fact that the entire problem occurred at pick-up!
After this nightmare, I will only use reputable American companies. Clearly economybooking and their affiliated rental companies are taking advantage of foreign tourists/ people who don't know how things work in the US and they need to be reported and shut down.

This company is a complete rip off. DO NOT USE they will steal from you, I ordered a car 24 hours prior to pick up. When I went to the rental agency (Hertz) they knew nothing about my reservation and the vehicle (7 passenger) was not available. I had a large party and needed the larger passenger auto. All SOLD OUT, I reached out to Economy Bookings within an hour to resource with a different agency or cancel. I couldn't talk to anyone, all I could do is email. All they kept insisting was that I didn't give then 48 hours notice. I couldn't, I ordered 24hours prior to pick up. In the end they refused to resource and refused to cancel. Thieves,

Prices are correct
The website is very easy to use
Unfortunately no modification possible if you want to change thé pickup hour for exemple

They do not disclose the full and detailed cancellation until after purchase. They will only refund to an E-Wallet for credit used for future booking with them and them only. But, they promote 100% full refund until 48 hours before pickup. Bait and switch, con artists.

Very bad experience

Recently booked a car rental through EconomyBookings with Thrifty Car Rental at Jacksonville, Florida airport. Upon arrival, I was denied the vehicle because I didn't have a physical credit card, even though I provided a valid foreign passport. The booking was paid for using a debit card, and the confirmation email did not clearly state that failure to meet this credit card requirement would result in forfeiting the payment.

Despite this oversight on their part, I was not refunded, leaving me with no car and a significant financial loss. Customer support was unhelpful and did not take responsibility for the poor communication regarding such a critical requirement.

This experience was deeply frustrating and felt like a breach of trust. I strongly urge EconomyBookings to improve their transparency and clarify all terms in their communication to avoid such issues in the future. I cannot recommend this service and will not be using it again.

Terrible Experience with EconomyBookings – Do Not Recommend!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with EconomyBookings. I booked a car rental, but when I arrived to pick up the car, the rental office was already closed—even though I had confirmed the hours of operation beforehand. Despite arriving within the time frame, they refused to provide me with a vehicle, and worst of all, they kept my money.

It's incredibly frustrating and unprofessional that they couldn't accommodate me, and they didn't offer any solutions or refunds. I ended up stranded without a car, and they completely ignored my concerns.

If you're considering booking with them, beware—they don't seem to care about customer service or ensuring that their policies are actually followed. I will never use their services again and would recommend avoiding them at all costs.

Denied booking by Routes.ca with the reason that they don't rent to local and want return ticket. Firstly i am not local as I am visiting US for a project (more than a year). Even after booking return ticket for the same date (car return date), i was denied and I was told that I didn't have the ticket in first place. When I reserved on your website, rental company was not mentioned and Economy booking picked it up for me upon payment. As per policy, only routes.ca require return ticket but i was unaware if Routes will be my rental company. If Economy Booking was aware of this they Return ticket details should have been made mandatory on your website or booking confirmation. Request of changing rental company was also not entertained by Economy bookings. Now, they hold my money approx. CAD 400 for services i never received. Neither i received any refund nor rental car through your company. My request is to refund my hard earned money or let discuss this matter with Ombudsman.

Worst customer service ever

The rudest customer service I've experienced. I cancelled a booking that was worth 702. I then booked another car which was advertised as around 250. The credit remaining on my account was a little under 300. When I called customer service to understand this discrepancy the woman said it was something to do with the policy of the car company but couldn't tell me what the price I had paid was for the car and when I asked for clarification she started talking to me in a slow, irritated and patronising voice then got angry with me and told me she needed to speak to me slowly because I couldn't understand her explanation the first time and not to interrupt her. When I asked her not to be rude she said if I interrupted her one more time she would hang up the call. What lovely people employed there. Would never use them again

I rented a car in Italy and there were some damages. I was charged for these damages as expected and got in touch with the group about making a claim. I wrote an email and got a response about the information that was required which I followed up with. I then heard nothing and followed up with another email. Six weeks have passed and still total silence. I called the customer service of Economy Bookings who told me they know nothing about the insurance. I find it strange that they're selling a product they know nothing about. She told me to contact the insurance by email and when I told her I had already done so several times, and hadn't had a response in six weeks of emailing them, she said 'they have lots of emails and are very busy'. She seemed to regard the call as a nuisance and displayed no desire to help. I would never use this company again as it's easy to rent a car but the important thing is having good customer service if something goes wrong
