The service is over priced compared to other providers, but if you're not satisfied, there's a $175 early termination fee...not to mention the hassle and UPS charges to return the equipment. I don't know how they get away with it.

I haven't been with EarthLink not even a day. The customer service representative don't give you none of the right information! I talk to 3 different representative & they all lied to me on different things! All EarthLink want is is your money! I ask to speak to a manager but, they want let you talk to anyone! I have been so upset all day about this Internet! I want.to cancel my service but, they continue to lie like they are going to fix the problem! I am getting ready to dispute my transaction with them & I'm going to send their equipment back! They have charge my card twice but still no service!

MISLEADING! They offer to help you get a "professional" website up and running, built to "your specifications" and instead, they put together something that looks elementary at best, and do not even bother to follow the guidelines you laid out or even bother to make sure the information is correct! They even went as far as to put up a fraudulent "customer accolades" page with made up comments on it! And when I went back to them after this initial site was developed, per their request, with corrections that needed to be made, they showed me how I can change them! They published it with incorrect, incomplete, and fraudulent information and would not even unpublish it, let alone correct it! I had to take time (immediately) from my busy schedule to unpublish it to avoid embarrassment for our little company at a very important time for us. I feel completely ripped off! Know what you are getting yourself into here and don't expect much.

5 days of service is ALL we got before running out of data! I paid for a month's service! I specifically told the first moron (when I signed up) what exactly we use internet for (school, streaming tv & music)! What on God's green earth made the idiot think 5 days worth of data was enough, is beyond me! THEEEEN when I called to ask about it, they wanted me to either upgrade or add data! $130 later, here I am on the phone AGAIN trying to rectify the issue! I was refused even a partial refund, because "I've received the router & the internet did work" (for 5 whole days)! Their customer service (or lack thereof) is HORRIBLE & so is their internet service! It's one BIG SCAM! Do yourself a favor & run! Run away, as fast as you can!

I work from home and when I moved to a new city, I decided to try earthlink a try. I immediately regretted my decision. Terrible service, they nickel and dime you for everything. I have been getting under 1 download speed and 1 upload speed and have spent hours on the phone with them - I have to use my cell phone's hotspot for the service I pay this company to do. Their support team promises to escalate an issue and call you back and then nothing happens. Stay away!

I've been a subscriber for years and I've noticed in the past couple of years how bad earthlink is at filtering out spam from email. Every day I get lots of spam with the '. Info' tail. I have reported these to earthstink numerous times, and have even sent messges to them asking if they will do something about it, to no avail. It seems apparent that earthstink derives a financial benefit from plastering this junk on my email account. A robot firewall would be an effective means to keep this crap away, but since earthstink obviously gets paid for these ads, it will never get better. Had I not been using this email addy for so long so that my legitimate correspondents know where to send my messages, I would go to another provider.
