I ordered 2 internal doors on line from doors world whom apparently are world stores, the money was taken and the doors were delivered, There is a large crack to the top of one of the doors making it unusable, I immediately phoned the delivery company who's van was still outside my property they advised to contact the company WORLD STORES, I have tried to contact them several times via the phone, A message states, your call is important to us, keep holding and your call will be answered, I have held for over 30 mins on 5 separate occasions at various times of the day, no one ever answers, I have e mailed them and sent photos electronically of the damage to no avail, I would not recommend anyone to use this company.
I bought a mattress from Worldstores which was delivered to my house in early July. It soon became clear it was broken and very very uncomfortable. I then tried to contact the company by phone to report this over the next couple of weeks but on every occasion the queue was absurdly long so I never got through. Eventually, when I did get through, I was appalled that the advice given to me totally contradicted the advice I had received from Trading Standards. Two Worldstores employees claimed that there was no possible way the mattress could be replaced or refunded, despite it being broken and deeply unsatisfactory. This goes completely against the Consumer Rights Act, which means that Worldstores' terms and conditions are, well, illegal. I have 30 days within which to exercise my 'short-term right to reject', but Worldstores flatly reject that. Moreover, they banned me from both their Facebook and Twitter pages for simply pointing out the above truths. So censorship that wouldn't be out of place in a fascist regime is their preferred method of dealing with critical customers.
This company accepted payment two and a half months ago and has still failed to deliver the item purchased or a suitable replacement. They "forgot" the outstanding order, and every couple weeks when I reminded them, promised to look into it, send a replacement or something similar. Customer service takes days to respond to emails and phone calls, if they respond at all. Most recently, about ten days after confirming in writing that a specific replacement would be shipped on a specific date, they have told me the product is actually not available, proposed in a voicemail a substitute that does not exist on their web site, refuse to contact me in writing, and are not answering my emails. They have treated me so horribly, a mere refund won't even begin to compensate after 2 1/2 months of chasing them with emails and phone calls and being led down the garden path with items they post for sale on their site that don't actually exist. It makes one wonder whether this is a legitimate business -in my experience, it has not behaved like one.
Ordered a bed, paid for delivery and took time off work to receive... never delivered. Incompetent customer service, arrogant attitude from the delivery partner XPD Express. Still waiting to be fully refunded for items not delivered, but Worlstores are now ignoring my emails, and forget calling customer services unless you want to wait ages on a premium rate. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I went to the stockport branch and spoke to the manager on 17th sept 2021. I explained i spent £360 on 5th july on bedding and that id been very ill since, off work with pregnancy sickness and back pain and not been able to come in sooner. I explained i couldn't find my receipt anywhere but showed my bank statement and asked to exchange 3 items, all unopened: a too high for the neck memory foam pillow, a super king size duvet cover and fitted sheet. I explained id really gone off the colour grey and was hoping to do an exchange. She said she couldn't do anything as it had been too long and there was no receipt and disingenuously said she was sorry. I then asked if she could search my receipt on the system from that date but was told it it only goes a month or so back. People try be careful your receipts (even with baby brain), take a picture of it and ask for an email receipt to help you- people have genuine reasons and lose them sometimes. I'm usually so careful. To the stockport manager- remember money isn't personally coming out of your pocket when someone is asking for a refund/ exchange and i hope if you're ever in a similar situation the person dealing with it is more compassionate
How I wish I'd read these reviews before placing an order with this scamming, heartless 'Company'. They took my money for a bed, didn't turn up, didn't answer the phone etc etc. DONT USE THIS COMPANY EVER. You have been warned.
I have never had an experience with any company as bad as this company, how they stay in business is beyond my comprehension.
Failed deliveries, broken promises, no updates, no resetting of expectations, no proactive contact, no escalation process.
All this is then compounded by agents how can hide behind process and policies to absolve themselves and business of any accountability. If you promise something to be delivered on a date and then advise that should not have been promised but no updates as to when you can expect (literally no one knows) then confirm a new delivery date and repeat the whole process you have to form the opinion nothing they can or will ever say can ever be trusted.
I really wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered, I only went off the "Feefo" feedback displayed proudly on their website which is quite clearly not representative of customer experience.
Please, please read all the reviews before you deal with this company as my opinion is not the only negative viewpoint on here so this must tell you something... don't buy from them unless you want to be disappointed and wasted weeks of your time.
DO NOT USE. I ordered a bed frame and arrived damaged. I was on hold for 54min on a 0844 rate to let them know. I then ended up chasing them for a response to my email with the photos of the damage. I eventually received an email stating they would collect the item within 72hours via courier. Obviously I have nothing else to do for 3days. I am currently now on hold to them AGAIN to find out a specific delivery date and have been on hold for 1hr 50min so far! This is appalling and very very frustrating.
Ordered bed for guests arriving for Christmas. Due to be delivered on 23 December and I took the day off work to receive delivery. When I checked the tracking number I discovered the bed was still somewhere in England. Still not arrived in Scotland on 24 December. Staff at WorldStores and carriers XDP totally disinterested and lacking in any form of customer service. I have been told on three separate occasions that someone will investigate and return my call. Still waiting! DO NOT ORDER FROM COMPANIES WHO ARE UNDER THE WORLDSTORES UMBRELLA AND ANY COMPANY WHO USES XDP AS CARRIERS
Website looks great, I ordered items, 4. A small pan, 2 wooden Christmas lanterns and a wall decoration. It said 2-3 weeks so that's fine I think. Oh no, 1 wrong item delivered, 1 item broken but useable and 1 item that a 2 year old could have made better. Nails sticking out, uneven so wax poured out, looked like they had used the cheapest wood possible, it was in fact quite dangerous. They clearly are a small company, as the "customer service" (I use the term loosely) agent is the same person, James! My broken items came in an Achica bag, so I contacted them too. Guess what, exactly the say system for complaints, but a different person. So, I wrote back to "Chelsea" offering my utter confusion with the whole situation, and guess who wrote back... YES, James! Utter tripe, do not use this company, extremely substandard goods, poor customer service. On asking for a reduction (I offered photos for the proof of damage) I was told that this was not possible, so I put the crap wooden lantern on my fire. Then I was told that a delivery had been arranged to collect my defective goods. WHEN, WHO, DID YOU ASK ME? Honest, I am still waiting for an item and am getting nowhere. Purchased and paid in good faith, I am awaiting a response from Trading Standards. I wish I had read all the reviews before I parted with my money! Any reputable company would have offered a refund on the damaged goods, but not this lot. I think it is just James and Chelsea in their front room knocking up inferior articles
I was really pleased to find a good value for money offer of the cayman mocha garden furniture set with parasol. I ordered mid March for the summer so was not put off by the 8-12 week lead time. About part way through the delivery period I received a call to say that they would not have the stackable chairs and was I ok with the folding chairs. Assuming I was getting close to a delivery I accepted this change. After 12 weeks and no info on the order tracking facility I chased via the online contact facility. I received a mail back stating that they have no delivery details and did I want my money back. I called to express my frustration and disappointment but was given the only option of getting a refund. It is now June, the prices and availability now for such an item are not in my favour. The company have had my money since March, 3 months and when I asked for some form of compensation was refused. I would never use this company again nor recommend them to anyone. Appalling customer service.
Terrible company. Ordered two armchairs for delivery on a specific date. On that date only one arrived. Called their 'customer service' number and was on hold for 45 minutes before call answered. Reached someone (Matt) who advised he would contact the courier and get back to me. I advised it was incredibly important the order arrives by the next day. He never called back so 4 hours later I called again, waited another 45 minutes before the call was answered. Was told they checked with the courier and that the second chair (both identical) was due for delivery between 7-9pm that night despite the sticker on the first chair saying 'package 1 of 1 l' (Molly). Second chair was not delivered that evening. I am now trying to call back again - so far been on hold a further 43 minutes... (So over 2 hours on hold to this company and counting - due to THEIR own incompetence.) This company are a useless bunch of rogues in my opinion and simply do not care about their customers.
In terms of their products - from the one chair that has arrived so far, it doesn't quite match the plush quality that is suggested in the advertising of their website. Poorly upholstered, can feel the wooden frame and not particularly comfortable.
Ordered and PAID for my sofa on 12th September 2016. I ordered as their website said it was available in one week. What a gullible prat i was to believe anything this company had to say.One week went by and after lots of e-mails to and fro and being offered limp excuses by their customer services i cancelled. I even e-mailed the C. E. O to tell him that they were advertising and taking the money for sofas that were not even in stock.
WORLDSTORES.CO.UK YOU ARE PANTS!
P. S got money back eventually but they even got that wrong as i was shortchanged,
STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE COWBOYS!
Horrible store, false advertising, terrible, customers taken for a drive and not of a life time, they should be told at the end of the day they will go down down down I HATE THEM BECAUSE THEY LIED TO ME ABOUT A PRODUCT THAT NEVER ARRIVED A REAL TIME WASTER
This company needs to be reported to action fraud. Ridiculous! However apparently Worldstores made £100m in sales last year >> http://thebosh.com/worldstores-review-avoid-at-all-costs/
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY OF ITS NUMEROUS SUB-COMPANIES. The next day delivery was complete lie. Company had to be chased to even admit delivery would not take place - used the "problems with suppliers" line used by many other commenters' on this site. Also took ages to get through on premium rate phone number and no superivsor available. Have reported to trading standards and logged as fraud with my bank.
Prior to purchase spoke to sales team to ensure that Bed would be delivered by 2 man courier and taken to ground floor bedroom, as shown on website.
Purchased 4ft divan bed with mattress and booked specific delivery date. ( 20/01/15), as items to be delivered to elderly lady, who needs to have someone at the house to accept the goods for her.
Divan base delivered by solo courier who would not take any further than front door. Mattress was missing.
Worldstore did not respond to email that day, 20 minutes on hold to speak to customer service, who could not locate mattress.
Following morning,, another 20 mins wait for customer service to inform us mattress would be delivered by 12; 00. It arrived at 13:30 again by solo courier, and was the wrong size.
Once again, no response to 2 emails. 18 mins on hold to customer service, who informed me that paperwork would be sent to me enabling me to book date for delivery of correct mattress ( and collection of incorrect shipment). 24 hrs later, no paperwork.
Order was cancelled.
23/01/15, new mattress delivered, with no notification from worldstores to expect the order. Mattress appears to have been damaged in transit. 3 x 15 min calls to customer services and as yet unable to get through.
Probably worse service i have ever experienced. Would avoid this company at all costs.

Please please please do not order anything from Worldstores unless you want to enter into a nightmare scenario, wasted time on the phone, headaches and the lies. Lie after lie after lie. This has to be worst online retailer I have ever dealt with. They tell lie after lie after lie. Have been waiting for sofas to be delivered for months. Yes months... on a number of occasions I have had the unhappy experience of being left dangling on the phone to customer services at Worldstores. The staff are clueless or possibly their databases are clueless. Various delivery dates are quoted. I have been told on many occasions that the goods have been delivered and signed for when they haven't. That they are in a warehouse waiting despatch. That they have been lost in transit. You name it I have been told it. The customer service team must have a bunch of random scripts from which they can choose various scenarios as nothing I am told is true. I am still waiting for sofas to be delivered. According to Worldstores my sofas have been delivered to the address at least 10 times already. When I phone to ask what is going on they ask me what items from the order have been delivered as they don't know! (If I could I would have given no stars.)
Totally appalling, incompetent service. I ordered 5 items, nearly 2 weeks ago, that claimed to be "next day" delivery. When it came to select the delivery date, next day wasn't available, and the only other day I could be in for the delivery was nearly 2 weeks on. Fair enough, I understand that next day is not always possible. But since I have waited nearly 2 weeks and have selected, from their choice, a date for delivery, then I assumed the items I had ordered would have been delivered on time! NOT THE CASE! Out of the 5 items I ordered only 1 came on the correct day. ONE! It is a bed frame with NO mattress! Ridiculous! By 4pm I was concerned that something had gone wrong with the delivery, so I phoned the office. I spoke to a very nice man who said that yes, all 5 of my items were on record to be delivered that day. So I waited. More hours past and still NOTHING! I wasted an entire day waiting on 4 items that were not been delivered. What is the point of the "select a day" delivery option if nothing is going be delivered that day? The next day 3 out of my 5 items had been delivered. When I contacted them regarding the other 2 it turns out that they had not left the depot yet. Farcical, ridiculous, appalling service.
Answer: Now you can't say that, she will get your question removed next lol, bunch of crooks
Answer: No
Answer: Here is a list of the main corporate investors in Worldstores Ltd (Company number 03909772) - a highly unethical & fraudulent company with zero integrity: Goldman, Sachs & Co; Advent Venture Partners; Balderton Capital; Serena Capital. Worldstores Ltd company Directors include: Mr David Joseph Murray (CEO); Mr Richard Jeremy Tucker (CEO): Mr Mark Evans; Mr Mark William Evans; Mr Michael Hilary Chalfen; Mr Marc Fournier; Mr David Vincent Reis; Mr Peter Anthony Baines. Google (UK Tax cheat) also has a close working relationship with Worldstores Ltd. Feefo ('The global ratings and reviews provider used by the world's most trusted brands') also have a close working relationship with Worldstores. Interesting, the reviews hosted on Feefo for Worldstores, generally of a positive nature (and the only review host which Worldstores proudly lauds on its website), do not reflect the consensus of public opinion which is freely available in the online public domain, at all, in fact - the vast majority of online public/feedback review platforms are clearly critical of Worldstores. I have contacted Feefo about these clear and significant disparities and have not had any response (I wonder why?).
Answer: Call the sales department line instead of customer services (worldstores.co.uk only cares about obtaining your cash and couldn't give a damn about customer service or industry laws and standards).
Dunelm has a rating of 1.1 stars from 243 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Dunelm most frequently mention customer service, next day and world stores. Dunelm ranks 256th among Bedding sites.
