Unreliable and deceiving
August 15, 2024

Bought a college bundle for my son and got only 3 items of the entire bundle. Color chosen was not available but they said they had the white color option which I confirmed. But it was not sent and their customer service agent, Diane, says she can not confirm when the rest of the bundle will be shipped. And I paid for expedite delivery. At this point, I can not wait any longer and the customer agent says she must verify how to cancel my order. What a bad company service. They do not have the products and cannot cancel the order and reimburse my money? This is a US$213 order, not delivered, and with no delivery date set. No place to print a return label for items that were partially delivered? Stay away for scams like this.

I purchased a lighted make up mirror and wanted a refund. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. Would not respond to email or phone. The chat was the only way to talk to them and waited multiple days for a refund. I will never purchase anything from this company again.

I ordered a dresser for my daughter's dorm for Christmas and since she wasn't going to school until the following spring we unfortunately did not open the package immediately sadly (we assumed it would be a quality item, our bad) When we began to assemble the product the first thing we noticed was that the parts bad had been opened and then sealed together with tape. Upon further inspection one of the bars were also bent and one of the pieces of the back of the dresser was broken in half. It was clear to us that this had been a returned item and no one inspected it they just resold it. When I reached out and explained the situation they simply stated that there was nothing they could do since I purchased the item so long ago. I understand that there had been some time between but a good company would've have never let something like that ship out in the first place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Poor quality products and VERY POOR customer service.

Scam
July 31, 2022

I ordered two weeks ago for my new apartment. My ordered was delivered in a completely different city. Customer service has not been helpful and been a nightmare to work with. Takes 3 days to answer an email, which ends up being unhelpful. Do not order from this company.

Bad return Policy, stressful enough to send your child off the college, don't need a customer service rep, Faye, telling me about the return policy! Have three other kids, had better luck and prices with Target!

I will write to my child's school too and recommend that they remove them from their advertising. Everything was 100% cheap polyester. While they say they are returnable if you aren't satisfied, if you return, shipping costs more than the product and in addition to paying return shipping, they charge you premium rate for their outbound shipping. It is impossible to contact customer service. I did ship back - because I had (this is on me) purchased twice and didn't want to contribute to landfill, but the shipping tracking mysteriously stopped after "out for delivery" and the only hint they received it was a credit for about 30% of the purchase price - which was about $4.00 more than I had spent on the return postage. I recommend buying from a more reputable source.

I signed up in August for deliveries to take place over course of two semesters. Several have been returned back to them, and my son has not received one single package. They never responded to emails earlier in year because they were in a business transition and refuse to refund my monies because of this. Poor customer service and a scam! Am reporting to better business bureau.

The rug was pictured rectangle but received an oval rug. Return went fine however they charged me for taxes on the rug! I tried to explain but simple problem that they lack the education to comprehend so it costs me approx $25 to return a rug that was a mistake on their behalf. Never again! They said they were not going to charge me $25 shipping fee however why am I paying taxes on an item I do not have in possession. Buy somewhere else is my advice. Return policy isn't good but try returning their mistake and it cost you!

I had a big order. It was only partially delivered. Then months went by before other part was even shipped! I had to keep reaching out to them. They refused to return my money. I didn't even need the item anymore because it took so long and my kid went off to college. Terrible, terrible company.

Product never arrived; can't reach for refund
August 15, 2023

I purchased a lumbar pillow in July for my son's dorm room. As of mid-August it still hadn't arrived; I checked with UPS and it said "returned to sender" for some inexplicable reason. I emailed Dormify multiple times (because of course they have no phone number you can call) with NO response. I still haven't gotten what I ordered OR a refund to my credit card. This is a scam company so buyer beware.

The customer service efficiency is very bad. They don't have a direct phone line. You email and they Respond really late. They don't confirm your choices or decisions. They just make a decision for you. Did on the price comparison or adjustment.

Shame on Dormify!

What a joke of a company. Waited patiently for 7 weeks to be able to install a hutch in my daughter's dorm only to have to be told we would have to wait another month?! The preorder date literally changed 4 times. Why would a company have an item pre-ordered if they cannot control when it will be delivered? Show some respect to your customers. All senior management is shielded by the same employees that complaints would be filed against, pretty cool system for the employees. They have free reign to do and say as they please without any accountability. No phone service, only chat. Must be AI, because the "people" I spoke with know nothing about anything, for the company's sake I hope it's AI. To think this was my first of 3 kids that will be attending college. We will never be back again and the word will be spread because unlike them, I do care about my fellow man. STAY FAR AWAY FORM THIS COMPANY AS THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

Big waste of money!

Sure wish I wouldn't have trusted the school link and read reviews first. The quality is very cheap. I can't return it because I washed everything and now I'm stuck buying bedding and towels again from somewhere else! College is expensive enough I didn't need this headache and financial burden. Very cheaply made bedding and towels.

Be careful when ordering from Dormify. The products you order do not look like they do on the website and their return policies are not customer friendly and they will not budge. They do not care if you order $950 worth of merchandise and one or 2 items are unsatisfactory. They say they said these items are not returnable on the website so you cannot return them, even if they are not at all what you thought you ordered and are in fact ugly.

Horrible service

They sent me a package I ordered as a present for someone and it arrived in it's original packaging that was completely torn up and not able to be given as a present. While the product wasn't damaged, I couldn't gift it and wanted a refund or to return it, but they refused on both. Highly recommend not buying through Dormify.
